This is an awesome build. I need my deck to be really low to the ground...has anyone heard of tuffblocks? They look like they'd do the trick

Haven't heard of them but if they're affordable and have good installation instructions then go for it I say!
      Thanks for watching

Why is the undersupport from normal unpainted wood...that will be rotten in 2yr. But very nice work and result !

The timber is treated pine. I use H4 treated pine for anything in contact with the ground and H3 for anything outdoors.
H3 and H4 timber don't require painting as they're already protected from rotting and termites etc.

Hi. Great work. Question - Do the L shape brackets hold the joists in place since there’s nothing supporting it underneath?

Correct. Simmilar to a stirrup but you have to use a bit of creativity and common sense to get things to work. L shape brackets were the way to go on this particular job.

And you get a good pack of 10 from Bunnings at the moment for $3.90
