I don’t think the whole team should be punished. However those who participated need to be. My heart goes out to this young man. To be humiliated by your teammates has to be unbearable as a teenager
I go to new trier and was on the freshman team the guy getting “hazed” was mason shakelfore a sophomore who wanted to do it because he feeler he wasn’t welcomed enough
Come onnnnn. When I was in high school and you came in scruffy, they made you use a rusty bic razor that EVERYBODY shaved with when they came in scruffy. Legend has it that razor was 30 years old. You know what...I believe it was. These were grown adults that knew damn well it was probably a bad idea to let people share a razor like that...yet they still did it...and we're still here. Couple kids get together and razz the new guy here...what's wrong with that? This is why kids grow up allergic to water.

This young man was humiliated in front of the whole school. New Trier has over 4000 students. Put yourself in his shoes.
