I really like the smooth and relaxed way you work around your birds. Inspiring! (i don't breed budgies but lineolated parakeets ) Beautifull set-up as wel! i have only a small space myself and 8 breeding couples, but also nice and clean, also with nice air filtering system. Being an Australia and having had budgies most of my life ,the difference is amazing my birds are tight of feather where these birds are not, and I am not saying anything bad about them just they are very different

I would like to ask Daniel if he has concentrated all his life on this magnificent bird or is he still working in other fields ..? Do you think it is right in your opinion to "shorten" the plumage a bit and make the budgerigars more harmonious in the expo cage?

I have heard many birds outside last year that were not supposed to be out without the owner... Sadly i wish they were just free flying but i believe these budgies were let go and breeding in the wild. ( Although i live in canada, salt spring island is very warm here in winter. ( No snow, very short warm winters) also seen many finches in colours not seen in the wild flying around and i am thinking maybe someone was hoarding birds and let them go rather than see them taken
