In one of the music books which I inherited from my mother (who was a music teacher), there is a "Rondo Alla Turca" by Burgmuller. When I first saw this piece as a child, I was intrigued by it and decided to learn it. This was how I learned about the existence of Friedrich Burgmuller and his compositions.
This is an utterly invaluable channel. Thank you for bringing out so many pearls with such confidence to help us get a better picture of Romantic & early 20th century piano music. It has become a treasure for me personally to analyse charming little pieces you've made me aware of, to learn harmony better.
thank you for uploading and playing these, I feel like you play them like how there supposed to be played, I'm currently learning no 1,6,13 and no 18 right now and I use these to help me, hopefully one day I will learn the whole set!
i got to know the op.100 because i watched the recent conflict about wim winters, so i saw this set of pieces! Don't worry , i will not play them at half speed, haha!
Wonderful performances! Also the recording quality is exceptionally good. Could I ask what make and model of piano were they played on, as well as the age of the instrument?
What!!! $400 keyboard???!!!??? I thought you were playing Steinway&sons real grand piano. My digital grand piano sounds like a toy compared to yours. Thanks and thanks again for good job.
Who doesn't? I do one or two of these at a time with other pieces I'm learning. They're really great for progressing, in my opinion. At least, they've been very helpful to me. I like them A LOT more than other studies because they feel like real pieces/songs instead of just hyper specialized etudes that lack stories/emotions/melodies. Anyway, that's my take on the collection. If you're super good, they won't be of use, but for intermediate players, they're fantastic.
@@v.duskren8819 oh you must have mistaken me, i really like these pieces too, i was asking who is playing them( which pianist ) not who would play these
Burgmüller is the master of melodic studies.....

Burgmüller amazingly compressed all the best things of Romantic era into his 3 set of little Etudes.
nicely put
well said
Woah, wonderful set! Haven't heard much of Burgmüller in a while so this is perfect. 😄
Friedrich making scales so attractive with his pearls 😀
:)
Beautifully played, thank you!

Do Brasil, nosso muito obrigado!
Aus diesem Zyklus ist 'La source' (Die Quelle) eine echte Perle! Sie haben es in wunderbarer Ruhe und Gelassenheit gespielt, wie es sein soll.
Beautifully performed! I am conducting a beginner study now. Never heard this before now, but this is great first impression 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
These Burgmüller pieces are not as bad as I expected :-)

@@PianoScoreVids So this is already the unplayable single beat tempo... ;-)
Sorry i forgot to say i saw BachScholar's video series on the op.100 burgmüller.. i think his zweidrittel theory makes a lot more sense!
@@PianoScoreVids Yes, everything from 3/5 to 4/5 is just fine!

Agitato, La cloche des matines, and l'Orage are such great studies to listen to.
i like 8 and 13 but not 9
@@joannalu9460out of spite of your comment I learnt no.9 lmao
j'adore Agitato, très joli :)
i recently found these in an old cabinet at my house and i was wondering what they sounded like, before beginning to learn them. thanks for sharing
Amazing!
So very beautiful !
Perfeito ❤️✨👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Delightful. Perhaps you can add a short blurb about the composer in the description section. Copied from wiki or your own words.
Normally i do that, but i thought burgmüller was so known that its not necessary. But now when i think about it, yeah, why not
@@PianoScoreVids Funny you say that. I didn't know him. Maybe because he ran away to France 😂
How many piano books had he got? I just knew the first...

I have listened this about a 10 times, because you Did a great job... I wish I knew what is your piano... 😰
I wish I had this book earlier, it's so good. Also, the printing of the book is very nice and clear, which company did it?
¡Todos hermosos y bellos!
Gracias
The repeated notes on the 2nd beat in Les Perles need to be brought out more, sounds almost like a rest in many places
I want to see you make it better on a 400 dollar keyboard. Do you think i am stupid to not have tried to bring that out?
