Fun Fact: Wreck-Gar never transforms in the 86 movie however the Junkion he rides on is in fact modeled after his own vehicle mode so we do get to see his alt-mode even if he never transformed himself. I noticed it years ago rewatching the movie.
Thanks for the fact never knew that
@@Ian_S. I never watched all of season 3 🤔
@@Ian_S. no
I need to watch the movie again.. It’s been far too long. I remember one riding on another and then they transformed and switched places 🧐
@@SkyFireDrone2022 That part was radical.
Wreck-Gar’s definitely the one I’m excited for the most out of the recent SS86 announcements. When danger rears its ugly head, he dares to be stupid and always looks on the bright side of life.
"I'm a pepper, you want to be a pepper too?"
All for updated Armada and Beast Wars figures.
I love how you mentioned "Dare to Be Stupid" as I was listening to that in my head the entire review.
"DESTROY UNICRON! KILL THE GRAND POOH-BAH!!! DEFEATS EVEN THE TOUGHEST STAINS!!!"
"*ELIMINATES* EVEN THE TOUGHEST STAINS!!!"
@@Sal_Sal27 Dammit, was going off of memory, and it had been a little bit since I'd watched that movie at time of writing.
Just rewatched transformers the movie 1986 yesterday and man this looks exactly looks like the character from the movie, like it popped out the big big screen into an action figure. It is just looking so awesome!! Great review of the figure as always Prime vs Prime!!
I agree! & thanks so much!
@Brian Babin but wheelie is cute
@Brian Babin Wheelie has seen some shit...

Best part is that, theoretically, you can keep the wheels on their joints when he’s in robot mode so he doesn’t even require parts forming to work
I want animated figures with modern engineering, imagine the possibilities dude
Ikr
Wow well I’ve heard the old animated toys were near enough perfect so by today’s standards they should be like masterpiece!
@@PrimeVsPrime the old toys were great at the time but they were far from “master pieces” hence why they gave us the master piece line of Transformers. The Siege, Kingdom, and SS86 are pretty amazing in their own right. Cheers mates!!
Your prayers have been answered animated prowl just leaked
Just so you know, hasbro doesn’t do much design work, almost all of these transformers figures are designed by Takara. Hasbro provides general strategies such as what figures to release. The designer of these ss86 figures is the same designer who worked on the mp line from mp10 until they went for the more toon accurate simple look. The guys name is Shogo Hasui, you can even tell his mp design style carried over.
He should’ve gotten a Robin Hood figure and a giant meat accessory
Re-release incoming!

@@brentjensen8529 what
A Motorcycle Transformer, and quite a good figures, too.
...This would make a good Sideways Mold, with Deluxe Mirror!
With some slight tweaks, and obvious new head sculp, yeah pretty much
He could also be Cy-Kill. And the Conehead mold from Earthrise would be a good Leader-1.
Never wanted to buy a figure so bad since ur kingdom cyclonos vid
Ikr
I feel the same way.
K. Cyclonus is near ideal, too bad he had those asymmetric blobs sticking out of his chest
@@rigelc.hoffman2496 that is a _damn_ good figure. His only flaws are face shape, the inability to store his gun at the center of his jet mode’s belly, and the inability for the curved bits to sit flush on his jet mode’s back.
"We've even got the nipple guns, which I guess he could utilize in order to lactate over Unicron"
Ngl the way he so casually dropped that sentence gave me a good laugh
Lol
I do t even remember that in the 86 movie lol
Question, are the bikehandles rubberized plastic or hard plastic, my classics wreckage had them break off because how soft they were
“...one of the first main line figures in many years I believe to actually have an ab crunch,...”
Siege Impactor:
Am I a joke to you?
Right lol
I mean, if you count 2 as many...
Siege sound wave had one due to transformation
@@timothyvansyckle5162 Not really. I can argue that Impactor has the same thing. But Impactor does it a lot better than Soundwave does, though...
Yes. Yes you are
This is the Wreck Gar I have been dreaming of since 1986. I am beyond psyched. No welcome wagon hello stranger with that good coffee flavor for you. Offer expires while you wait. Operators are standing by.
Haha awesome you like it too!
I can’t wait for 86 perceptor
Same it would be cool if he actually works as a scope like imagine if at school they needed a scope and a kid just brings a transformer 😂 lol
@@gojirazillasaurus6341 that would be awesome!!
@@shady_the_one with his cassettes
Other than adding more Beast Wars figures, I'm very happy with more of what they've done over the last few years.
I'm hoping for some updated G1 combiner designs. Maybe some UT and IDW stuff sprinkled into future waves like they're doing with BW.
@@GibDozer1 Maybe they’ll do some studio series 86 Constructicons. I missed out on the CWs version.
@@jedijam91
I bought that little KO CW set to go with the mainline figs. Gotta say as individual bots I really like them. I'd definitely love to see the combiners redesigned to the current standards though. Fingers crossed!
Wow, the detail on this is really impressive. Studio 86 Series really is the best so far.
Oh I'd be absolutely hyped if they finally pull the trigger and redo the Unicron trilogy characters!
You singing dare to stupid was the highlight of my day👍
The attention to detail the 86 line is getting blows me away. I don't have many Bayverse or BB SS figures as the few I have disappointed me. Whomever is lead designer on these clearly LOVES the source material. Keep em coming.
That bike mode is truly awesome
As someone who grew up with the g1 toy, THIS makes me excited
10:34 When you roll him over it really sounds like a dirt bike lol
@@razorshark6790 yeah it doesn’t
@@Hannahneila jeez be nice
I really love the fantastic wreck gar as it can transform an motorcycle . Great review Prime Vs Prime
Ikr?! Super cool for sure! Thank you!
what an amazing transformation wow. Love that his head ends up inside the front handles as if it mass shifted. I'm starting to worry that Takara no longer has incentive to continue the masterpiece line with the mainline going so strong
I really enjoyed your reviews and I have Wreck gar and I have so much fun posing him with one of my Transformers figures he is a awesome figure and I would recommend it too anyone who collects them can't wait for the rest of the Junkions that would be awesome keep up the great reviews
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed :)
This was your best intro music btw. 10/10
Great review PrimeVsPrime!!! This might be the best version of Wreck-Gar ever released. Keep on being amazing.
Weird Al will be so proud of his own tranformer figure
OK, all he needs now is his accordion. LOL
Just found Wreck-Gar alone on a shelf at WalMart, he was one of my favorites when i was a kid. So i brought him home
you're correct bro, this figure is in perfect scale!
i might just get another one to ride the other in bike mode... definitely one of the best figures in the line!
awesome review as always bro 👍🏻😀
Haha thanks man! Maybe just holdout for junkheap!
@@PrimeVsPrime no, that's why you get a third wreck gar to ride that figure.
Holy crap, this figure looks amazing! Awesome review mate!
Thanks so much! :)
@@PrimeVsPrime No problem mate!
Hasbro's going to have to start branching out and considering they're coming up on the 20th anniversary of Armada it's time to branch out to the Unicron Trilogy too.
Based on that prototype Armada Optimus they showed off a while back, I think that's exactly what they're planning after the WFC trilogy.
@@kippsryan1 Probably. The timeframe would match up too since each part of the trilogy has lasted about a year.
I was never into Wreck-Gar in any of his incarnations but I might get this one cause he just REALLY looks good.
Also you mentioned Masterpiece again. Review complete lol.
How about no more empty space on their legs, arms, tighter joints, and higher quality plastic for tolerance for future releases?
I'll take a bit of hollowness over another price hike. If it bothers you all that much there's no shortage of filler upgrade kits. Maybe MP/3P would deliver what you want. KFC made some nice Junkions a while back.
Hasbro has been knocking these out of the park, and people still grumble. Your expectations just seem completely unrealistic for a 30$ mainline figure.
@@GibDozer1 True about the fillers. They are more costly now. I just believe that at this price point the figure should not have any.
@@alphach1mp
Of course I wish they didn't. Not enough to pay another 10-15$ per figure, or to sacrifice the proper scaling we're finally getting. Before Siege hit I had basically given up on the mainline, but Hasbro made a believer out of me again.
@@GibDozer1 You have a point.. I was giving up also because of the same reasons.. Oh well, you can't win them all..
1:59
I guess it’s really cold on the Junk Planet...
I had the original Wreck Gar toy and this figure is a definite upgrade in just about every way.
The bot mode is awesome!! Bike mode could use some work but overall he is looking like a great figure. Can't wait to get him in my collection.
This figure's screen accuracy is superb but I think the design of Reveal the Shield figure was bit more interesting.
It depend on what you want from the figure I guess.
The RTS one's will make nice Junkion troops in my collection. Glad I held on to them.
I agree, but I understand why some collectors prefer the new version, it all comes down to what each collector looks for (Screen Accuracy vs Transformation)
A Que 👍vale
Hah! You said "when compared to the CGI model" you're used to doing movie figure reviews I can tell. This figure really does look amazing though, and nice review!
They could go with more Beast Wars followed by Beast Machines. I still want a Botanica. After that maybe the Unicron trilogy. After that Transformers Animated, Prime, Robots in Disguise, Cyberverse. As long as there is another series going on, the Generations line will always have some where to go
Yeah I mean they’re all great suggestions! I hope to see at least some of them in the next line
Lol in the intro if anyone noticed it cup and arcee are dabbing. It’s beautiful 🥲
Hahaha I was waiting for someone to notice! Nice catch!
Looks like Hot Rod is, too.
Far, far better in hand than in the photos, which do this figure no justice imo.
I'll definitely be adding this to the set!
I guess a 3rd party will produce a black seat for motorcycle mode. Takara was even nice enough to leave a small tab for the after-market up-grade piece to attach to the figure in bike mode. How considerate of them!
Maybe the up-grade kit will include a bottle of 'Magic Car Wax" the Junkions used to fix a dismembered Ultra Magnus.
I like that they made the tool boxes from the bike mode become his hip pouches, and while they couldn't make his head actually become the bike's "head", they compensate by making it tuck inside the 'bike head', making use of the sculpted-in speedometers. This is a whole other level of engineering and design, especially for a retail figure.
My only complain would be that they didn't try to make it so that the spinning blades fold and stored within the tires.
Wreck Gar lactating over Unicron and the Decepticons LOL I'm amused and nauseated in equal measure XD
As someone who owned the original wreck gar figure long ago, this studio series one is a massive improvement on that classic.
excellent review. i have him on pre-order =) i cannot wait for him and the retools of him. also looking forward to see what the customizers do with this mold.
Thanks so much! :)
I just picked him up!
I'm stoked! He looks great!
I’d like to see a revamped unicorn trilogy
I wasn't a fan of the shows, but I'd totally buy in on some of those designs done to this standard.
I'd sell my kidney for a good armada megatron/galvatron figure
One guy got two Wreck-Gar-s and sat one on the other! :) Perfect for re-creating the movie scene!
man this guy is really really cool. real nice articulation, pretty decent accessories, alright enough vehicle mode.
my only gripe is that he seems to be a bit lacking in the sculpted detailing, his surfaces are a lot flatter than the other SS86 figures with all of their greebling
I can see totally what you mean but to be honest, some of these figures are slightly over sculpted (not that I mind that at all) so the fact this guy doesn’t have as much probably means he’s more accurate to the cel animation
yeah he _is_ more accurate to the animation, thats fair enough.
i guess it's personal preference since it doesn't really hinder the figure at all
I thought about opening my Takara United Wreckgar and Hasbro Junkions, but after seeing this review i am selling them and getting this figure. Great review of a figure that is almost a Masterpiece.
Great review! I just pre ordered it and it looks like I'll be very happy with this figure
Ah thanks! I hope you like it too!
0:10 I plan on getting the studio series 86 Junk-heap figure pretty soon hopefully he and Wreck-Gar can actually ride each other like that.
Wreck Gar looking fantastic!!! Would love if they tried tackling the 'Pretenders' in the main line. Do they have the guts to try it?
adding on to the comint of the other day primevsprime im am 11 ad it realy ment alot to me thank you soo soo mutch primevsprime
Wicked! Thanks m8!
I promised myself I'd only buy a few SS86 figures but this guy looking amazing 😭
Looks like he straight out the 80s compared to the updated 80s versions
I can't wait to have it in my collection
Same
He is very cool!
I'm on the hunt for this guy...I got Hotrod Springer Arcee Kup and Ultra Magnus...he is a must have
Amazing review of awesome figure of our favorite lovable Junkion, as always my friend PVP. Always loved the universal greeting that they do. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Ah haha thank you :)
One of the selling points for the animated movie studio series are that the figures are to scale with the others in the series
I really want this figure! More than any other on this line!
I said it years ago when they were doing titans returns. We got a city form triple changer soundwave. Let them experiment before they blow theyre load ppl. And be happy we are in the golden age of hasbro
They certainly did deliver!
These toys are for adult collectors who love the original toy line and movie... that’s really it. Each toy line is directed at a particular market and demographic to maximize their exposure and sales. Keeping our interest will also foster our desire to get our own kids and (ahem) grandkids Transformer toys too. This is right in line with a lot of the “retro” toys making a comeback.
Man he is magnificent! Great review prime
"Bah-Wheep-Graaaaagnah-Wheep ni-ni Bong"
(Exactly as spelt on the back of the box)
Hasbro are KILLING IT! with the 86 line. What a collection it will be.
Ikr?!
He's pretty darn good looking, but he is objectively bigger than he ought to be considering the fantastic job that they've been doing with scale across the WFC trilogy and SS86 lines.
I think the scale in the movie was slightly inconsistent. He appears to be the same height as springer in some scenes
I hope they do the Transmetal version of the Beast Wars characters. And later I hope the gave Beast Machine characters another chance.
Great review Prime vs Prime!!!
Thank you!
I really want new versions of all the beast wars characters, especially fuzors and magmatron or whatever his name was that turned into 3 dinosaurs
What's funny was i was just thinking about the song, "dare to be stupid."
This guy looks SOOOOOOO GOOD. WOW.
I'm personally hoping those rumors about the next trilogy of Generations figures being Unicron Trilogy-inspired are true. There are a lot of good designs from Armada, Energon, and Cybertron that would be really cool to see with WFC/SS levels of articulation and detail (instead of redoing the same set of guys from the G1 cartoon).
Your quoting from transformers cartoon or 86 movie is so damn adorable
Loool haha thanks :)
@@PrimeVsPrime makes me want to see a vid of your single favorite siege, earthrise, kingdom, bay movie studio series, studio series 86 and 3rd part transformers. And watch as you inadvertently do a quote for them lol
what i would like to see are actual playsets/ display sets for transformers figures. there kinda doing this with backdrops especially in the ss line. but it would be cool to actually have environmental sets with playable features. or something like marvel select does. where each figure comes with a backdrop piece and you can built a diorama by completing the line. the ark would have been perfect for this. so that the ship actually transforms into a playset the other figures can interact with rather than a robot.
You are the transformer master. Awesome review. “ dare to be stupid “funny song 🎵
I’ve watched a few of this guy’s reviews now and Jesus Christ man, take a breath between sentences.
Well that was fast! Great review for a great figure!
Thanks so much!
New Transformer released, PrimevsPrime "Let's get to work"
An easy pickup for me. Apart from him missing the mudguard, some off color choices in the legs, and a few more spikes on the wheels, this is perfect. Gonna wait for clearance prices though
I'd love to see some more unicron trilogy figures in the future! It'd be great! I loved all those designs! This 86 line is absolutely amazing!
Notice the Hollow bits that the Deluxe scaled Hotrod doesn't have.
They are both Voyagers though. Smaller figure same budget limit=less hollowness. If it's a big deal to you, buy gap fillers.
@@GibDozer1 People were bitching up a storm about Hotrod being a deluxe so I was pointing out the differences. Guess people have moved on to the Rodimus debate.
@@Fenris30
I guess I was confused because my copy said Voyager class on the box.
This has got to be the best looking figure in the studio series. Hot rod and cylonus are good, but this looks great.
Awesome video 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👏🏻 great figure 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'd like them to come out with a mix and match pack of Junkeons so we could do custom figures.
Yeah that’d be an awesome idea!
@@PrimeVsPrime I told that idea to BBTS when they first sent me the promo for it. They loved the idea too.
Next Ten years Hasbro will be selling Transformers that transform on their own.
They already have that optimus prime figure that does that with voice commands
exactly
They already have started LOL
@@PrimeVsPrime Yep, it will be the new thing for most Transformers in 10 years...I hope lol
And we're going to have to rebuy the whole line.
Hey, as good as these are, remember what we said about MP-1 Prime.
PVP: And here we have his nipple guns, maybe he can lactate all over Unicron and Galvatron.
Galvatron: He will do WHAT?! 😲
just looking at this figure makes me hear Dare to be Stupid play
"I am Wreck-Gar! I DARE to be stupid!"
4:38 finally a figure with proper wrist articulation! Springer really needed that. They'd better include it if they make a new Drift or Windblade.
Regarding the question you asked at the beginning, there are rumors that the line following Kingdom will be exactly what you suggested: more of an exploration of the S in Generations. It’s rumored to have Armada, Prime, and even some Japanese exclusive shows. I hope so.
An armada line would be awesome!
This figure is wicked pure master piece of a figure
