extra facts about the 4 holy beast's real life myth.
1) Some Chinese will say that their version of this myth didn't have a tortoise or tiger. This isn't a error rather they learnt a older version of the myth, literally, in older myths of the 4 dieties, in place of the black tortoise or the tiger there would be the qilin which is essentially a winged unicorn/dragon depending on who you ask. Qilin can also sometimes take the place of the 5th center dragon.
The black tortoise is also sometimes known as the black warrior (ie a warrior cladded in black armor) but I personally haven't experienced anyone saying that so I cannot verify its truth.
2) Like Digimon Central mentioned each of the 4 beasts correlate to a direction and element in Buddhism, similarly in Taoism there are those 5 elements and directions, specially Fire, Water, Wood, Metal, and Earth each being allies yet opposing forces to each other known as the wuxing. There is no single ruling element in the wuxing and all 5 are equals.
3) Your chinese zodiac also has a element. This is just a cool thing, go look it up. I was born in 2000, a Gold/Metal Dragon.
4) The 12 zodiacs as mentioned in tamers are based on the 12 zodiac animals however, in a more modern but equally very old myth there is the Tai sui, a group of 12 all encompassing gods that each takes turns ruling a year, in modern tellings however this combines with the 5 elements to become 60 years. The Tai sui is also a little fickle and depending on the element and zodiac you are born on can either be super pissed at you when its their turn on the year or very gracious to you. It is best to get a charm blessed by a monk if its a fickle Tai sui year for you to 1, provide a protection on your self and 2, show your devotion so said tai sui won't be angry at you for ignoring them.
5) A golden dragon being the one who rules all other 4 dieties is likely the reason why emporers of the past tended to drab themselves and their palaces with golden dragons cause like how christian kings saw themselves to be ordained by god, so did Chinese emperors.

Genbu Byakkō Suzaku Seiryū
Exactly and the first Yu Yu Hakusho season involves beating all 4 of them on 1 and 1 battles though in that anime when Yuskei fights the Phoenix one Suzaku he can do a version of Yamcha's Dragon ball Multiform attack but instead of making 4 clones of himself he makes 6 copies so that Yuskei has to fight like 7 of them at once.
Wild arms also has similar summons BUT makes the Turtle WATER elemental based instead of Stone/Earth based but in the wild arms games the Phoenix is still fire based and the tiger is still a Wind summon.

From how it looks, Zhuqiamon maybe modeled after the dinosaur: Microraptor. It is so far the only dromaeosaurid that not only uses it's feathered wings but its feathered legs to glide. The microraptor is a small dinosaur that is one of a few extinct creatures that have their colors accurately discovered; it is found to have iridescent-black plumage all over its body.
I really hate how they disgraced Huanglongmon in Xros wars and made it as Dorbickmon's pet.
Xros Wars disgraced several prominent Megas. Neptunemon, AncientVolcamon, and even Lucemon, were severely nerfed.
Honestly we should had gotten a second season of Tamers involving Fanglongmon while having Lucemon as the main villian that sealed it away

Yeah. Especially since it has a Ruin mode, there should be a benevolent mode of some kind.
I hope you're going to do the next video about the dark masters. They interest me more than any evil Digimon out of any season that has ever been made. They interest me for many reasons for one they have been around long before the digidestion that we knew were ever born so the dark Masters got a lot of history. Plus they were created, fight the Digimon guardians, took over the digital world, and more. So a lot of things interest me about them especially Piedmon my number one favorite dark master out of them all.
Love them all! But I like Zuquimon, since it's a phoenix like creature!

It is Baihumon for me, it is rare to have a good, strong Digimon based on a tiger. In addition it is based on the mythical White Tiger and the design is really good.

Which is why the Yu Yu Hakusho anime has them exist in the first season despite that anime in the HUMAN world taking place in Japan and not in China.

Question: Are all ultimate digimon equal in power or are some stronger than others?
With Digimon Levels actually do matter. Unlike Pokémon. But even so, some are stronger than others. Like a Greymon Type Digimon is actually far stronger than an average Digimon of the same level. Also, with Digimon, those who have a title like the 4 Holy Beasts/Sovereigns, the Royal Knights, and the 7 Demon Lord's are far far stronger than your average Digimon. We have a few exceptions like Lucemon, who in his Rookie form is closet yo a Ultimate or Mega Level in Power, and when he becomes Falldown Mode, aka his Ultimate level form yeah unless you have plot on your side or a Royal Knight you are done for.

Which season of digimon were the holy beasts in?
An appearance in season 3, and then Digimon Tamers they played a major role in the final arc
Quinlongmon appears in Adventures 02 when BlackWarGreymon destroys all the Destiny Stones and is revealed to be incredibly powerful and Quinlongmon later plays a part and powers up Paildramon to become Imperialdramon Dragon Mode so he serves as a guide to Adventures 02 Digidestines. Then the rest of them along with significant Lore building is in the middle of Tamers where they surface the threat of the DReaper.
They also briefly appeared in a flashback in tri as the partners to the original Digidestined

Great Lore and I refuse to accept the crappy retcon in Tri that significantly desecrates the mystery and God like element that these being existed around the creation of the Digital World as well as downplay their power by making them on par with The Dark Masters when we saw impressive feats like Azulongmon one shot BlackWarGreymon into submission or Zhuqiaomon take on both MegaGargomon and Gallantmon(a Royal Knight stronger than the the DMs) right after like they both were nothing then go toe to toe with Azulongmon all these Digimon are couple tiers stronger than the Dark Masters we know BlackWarGreymon can easily be as capable as WarGreymon in slicing MetalSeadramon and Machinedramon down to data scrape as well as Gallantmon a freakin Royal Knight stronger than all 4 DMs and MegaGargomon whom I say is up there too only for these 4 mysterious beings to be a final Digivolution stage for the OG Digidestines we heard about? It not only ruined the Sovereigns and downplayed them but it also hurts the OG Digidestines that were so hyped up in mystery that the payoff is underwhelming, disappointing and combines 2 key Digimon Lore great ideas on their own to the point where it is contrived, inconsistent and ruins both ideas the Sovereigns should have been left alone to be as they were introduced in Tamers and the OG Digidestines should have had other realistic Digivolution lines where it would made sense for them to go toe to toe with the DMs and writing the characters better too like Daigo and Maki were so lame.
Who's stronger Zhuqiaomon or Phoenixmon (Hououmon)

Zhuqiaomon would one shot Phoenixmon no contest you have a mid tier Mega Nature Spirits against a Sovereign with the OG Lore in account and let us ignore Tri’s ridiculous retcon that downplays the Sovereigns to be on par with the Dark Masters that was total malarkey. I think Varodurumon vs Zhuqiaomon would be a hell of a fight though. Ornismon might put up a decent fight but would get overpowered by the Holy Beast.

Phoenixmon. It's the head of all bird Digimon and is said to have unfathomable power. What makes Zhuqiaomon look worse is that "it is difficult to overthrow with the power of an ordinary Ultimate", implying that an above average Ultimate (mega) could seal the deal and we see that happen in Digimon tamers. + Phoenixmon is vaccine/virus busters type and has an advantage over Zhuqiaomon's virus attribute.
The fact that he is a Holy Beast Sovereign speaks volumes ignore the Tri retcons that downplayed the 4 Holy Beasts. Now in Tamers are you referring to MegaGargomon vs Zhuqiaomon? Because he didn’t defeat him he used all his might til he dedigivolved fended him off and Zhuqiaomon came back more pissed off, then went on to fight Gallantmon whom is also a Royal Knight making him a Virus Buster by default even if he originates from a Virus line even he couldn’t defeat Zhuxiaomon until Azulongmon intervened whom is also a Vaccine Attribute and Virus Buster and they fought to a stalement until they agreed to assist in working together to stop the threat of the DReaper. Now it’s been few yrs since I seen Tamers but my memory recollection serves me correctly it just shows how powerful Holy Beasts are like in Adventure 02 you had Azulongmon one shot BlackWarGreymon into submission. I doubt Phoenixmon has such feats likes of Gallantmon(not putting Crimson Mode in account) one of the middle ground tiers I would say of the Royal Knights says a lot considering how broken the higher tier members are that could eazily take on the Sovereigns and Fanglongmon himself. Varodurumon is pretty powerful though and a Ancient Holy Digimon around during the creation of the Digital World and a Virus Buster I also think Phoenixmon can Digivolve further into him as well as the Jogress of Sinduramon and Silphymon can achieve this hypothetically given lines.

It's a translation/localization thing. Basically, in english the "meta" level (the 5th level, generally speaking) is more directly translated to "ultimate." While what we'd call "ultimate" (the 4th level, again generally) would be more directly translated to "prefect."
This is why I hate English localisation to use the same word but with different stage causing this confusion.
Remember all four of them are mega level not ultimate

In japanese, megas are called as ultimates. I prefer the japanese versions, sounds more original (cause it is)

I saw adventure, 02 and tamers as a kid and couldnt make sense of the digital world and its history. Now, I'm in my 30s and watching your videos and still dont know what the hell the story or timeline is supposed to be. It all seems like loosely connected ideas that do not tell a cohesive story.
A lot of this is almost word for word from Wikimon.
It’s from the reference book from the official Digimon website. Every Digimon has their own profile. I know from past videos that his translations are different from wikimon.
