He's now seen the birth and rebirth of the cybermen at least 4 times. Mondas, Telos, Alt-earth and the colony ship. And at one point the Cybermen were enough of a threat that the Time Lords even made specific counters to them (the Silver Nemesis). Cyberisation will always be there...
@@OG-ColorfulAbyss. The doctor was expecting the cybermen to take them for conversion, rather than just kill them right there. Surrender is never an option for this specific branch of Cybermen.
Context: In this Doctor Who episode the Doctor and his companion Rose accidentally travel to an alternate universe, something that even the Timelords forbade because it’s like traveling the ocean on a raft. In this alternate universe Rose’s parents are alive and living the rich life unlike her actual widowed mom who lives in a small rundown apartment (father literally died in a car crash on the day of their wedding) but have no children, nor are they planning for any. At the same time this marvelous piece of technology came out to assist the citizens, the ear pieces. These ear pieces turned out to be a crucial part in creating this universe’s version of the Cybermen; humans turned robotic with the idea of achieving perfection at the cost of their emotions and humanity. This episode is one of the earlier ones featuring David Tenant as the 10th Doctor and not as his “newer” version.
Fun fact, Nick Briggs voiced the cybermen, he also voiced daleks. The fun part is, when we get to the episode where the cybermen meet the daleks for the first time, Nick had to switch between voice modulators often and his voice often.
fr my fav dr who villain of all time, i still have a 2006 12" cyber man figure ive had since i was like 5, and i was born in the same year as it was made
Wait why don’t they inform the authorities, I remember them getting out of the van for some reason Ricky getting killed then meeting up infront of the factory on the hill, why didn’t they inform the authorities
Everyone had ear pods, I think Lumic gave them out for free or something and used them to control people. So only people around would be people not wearing them. Still makes sense that there would be _some_ other people around though, you're right.
Cyber Conversion how the Cybermen are created they are made from human husks dead living not sure it matters to them what they are are Cyborgs but more machine than human they also have emotion inhibitors making them as soulless as the machines they should be where they can’t feel anything at all the Cyber Conversion process is terrifying and we really don’t see what happens to the body we just see what is used on it which is saws, lasers, drills, or syringes, and knives cutting away the humanity and leaving the machine with just an emotionless husk programmed to follow orders
@@SKMedia252 not sure if my last reply made it though but it’s called Cyber Conversion and they do it on mass which is why there is always an army of Cybermen seriously if these guys were in Star Wars the clone factory on kameno would be their best place of operations

Sadly, he does find his wife later... and he really wished he hadn't.
Petes world Jakie? or do you mean he met the Jackie that appeared in season 1
@@minecraftdude1338he finds his jackie version
Yeah as a Cyberman
But then he finds Jackie from the original universe
And stays with her which is I guess a kind of happy ending

Love how Doctor knew they were cybermen but was so confused cause they were not the ones he knew, Surrender is never an option for them
Cyberman alway seem to aim for cyberization

If surrender is never an option with Cyberman then how are they any different from any he's seen before, in that specific regard?

@@SymbioteMullet well thank you for clarifying that
David Tennant throws 300% into every role he has, I just love him!
He’s so good in Good Omens as well
Bro David Tennant was the absolute peak of the revival series
Here here 😊
Personally, I find that honour goes to Peter Capaldi

Christopher Ecclestone, dude.
too bad he's taken a total u turn
I love how Rise of the Cybermen/The Age Of Steel combines with the recurring mentions of Torchwood for the series finale (Army of Ghosts/Doomsday)
yeah i seen Torchwood in my teenageyears and it was confusing so much ...like hell wtf , we got it in our futur well
The doctors plan didn't work to surrender, cause it's an alternate dimension. Different timeline. Different cybamen logic.
