In science, it's incredibly important to be concise and accurate, particularly in speech. Let me give you some advice :) Try to make sure that the things you say are actually what you mean, because this is something that I've struggled with in the past - so I thought by sharing this with you, you might benefit. Saying that mutations in p53 or p53 pathway components are *essential* to disease development and progression, is inherently incorrect. This is because not all diseases need such a mutation to occur (e.g. heart disease). I hope this was helpful to you, I'm sorry if it came across as rude etc. Have a good day!
