Anyone who experienced the true essence of the 80's would agree that The Outfield embodied every sound and every emotion that the 80's generation represented. For raw talent and energy, although grossly underrated during that time period, it must be said that they should undoubtedly be recognized as one of the greatest Rock bands of their generation! I am so fortunate to have been a young man in my teens and twenties during the 80's as most of you were and to have experienced them in their prime when it was all happening around us! This has been one for me this week. Can't stop listening to it! The Outfield brings back the 80s in a way most band can't! Gotta love them!!
I've been listening to the Outfield since they FIRST came out. I have Every cd they ever made and know the lyrics to almost every single song, to say I'm a die hard Outfield fan is an understatement
The Outfield didn't have many Top 40 hits during the 80s & 90s, but I absolutely love their style of music, and their lead singer has a pure voice, like Steve Perry did with Journey.
"A set of wheels and a cranked up radio." The essence of The Outfield's music. Music doesn't have to be lyrically profound to be classic; sometimes it just needs to stir the soul with perfect melodies and harmonies. Enough to inspire a top down, radio cranked up feel. And with that, The Outfield always delivered, and in spades. This song deserved far more than its #72 peak on the Billboard Hot 100.

Sad to watch and realize the two lead guys of the band are already gone. Voices of Babylon is my favorite album. I used to listen to My Paradise every Friday on my way home from work back in 2012. It was a feel good prelude to the weekend. Miss you John and Tony, thank you for the amazing music! The Outfield deserved way more credit than they got.
Outfield was straight up awesome. After a hard weeks work on Friday, go home shower, jump into some club threads and plug in outfield to set the mood. A good time's the same for everyone

Truly a great song...
Sad to watch and realize the two lead guys of the band are already gone. Voices of Babylon is my favorite album. Yes, the hits The Outfield had were on earlier albums but I believe this is the most well rounded album they put out.
I used to listen to My Paradise every Friday on my way home from work back in 2012. It was a feel good prelude to the weekend. Miss you John and Tony, thank you for the amazing music! The Outfield deserved way more credit than they got.
This band should have been bigger!
Every Outfield song sounds like something you'd hear at the end of an uplifting movie.
This is the greatest live performance of an 80s band ever.
THIS IS MY PARADISE ,,,, THE MUSIC OF THE 80s
R.I.P. Tony Lewis . . . loved his distinct voice and this band's songs SO much. Way underrated group!!
Outfield was straight up awesome. After a hard weeks work on Friday, go home shower, jump into some club threads and plug in outfield to set the mood. Two seconds later the work week was history and it's party time. Beautiful ladies everywhere, just pick one for the weekend. Those were good times .. !!
This is a great, uplifting song. God bless your soul Tony Lewis. You beautiful voice will be deeply missed.
this song reminds me of good times back in the 80s...I always thought early to mid 80s was really great for music....and this song is proof of that...
This song came out in 1989, though
@@danieldaniels7571 well whatever it was in the 80s
Simplemente un temazo...the outfield..the paradise de 1989 ...siempre lo dije....los 80'S...UN UNIVERSO LLENO DE EXITOS...el inicio de nuestros mejores años...los 80'S...una bella década.
These 3 men changed my life. Thank you for the paradise you gave me without noticing.
This is on my all time road trip playlist. So underrated.
Mine too.
Literally a part of my life growing up...RIP Godspeed Tony and John
Nobody is like The Outfield. RIP Tony and John.
Tony's voice is to die for!
Is it just me but in this song and Voices of Babylon John and Tony really bounce off each other , they were amazing watching them playing their heart out and having a Blast at the same time !
At least they are back playing again like they used to !
Godspeed 🙏 both of you.
miss the 80's! the best!!
The outfield was one of my favorite bands. I loved this song . Such great memories!!
