- Described as the ‘most heavily reported missing-person case in modern history’, the 2007 disappearance of 3-year old Madeleine McCann remains unsolved. But in a major new development, the story hit headlines once again last week as police scoured a remote reservoir on the Algarve in a bid to close the net around the prime suspect in the case, ‘Christian B’. But, 16 years since her disappearance and £13 million already spent by the Home Office, are we any closer to the truth? Criminologist David Wilson joins us in the studio to update us on this latest phase of the investigation.

Parents guilty as sin.
We all know who did it. But we can’t say anything because they'll cut you dry in court.
On a plus note, allegedly they did pay off their mortgage with the charity money.
What about the cadaver found in the apartment and in the rental car 25 days after she so called went missing? This is a political cover up.
Everybody knows what happened to little maddie...😢but nobody dare say it out loud
Parents 100% are involved
Everything points at Parents.
The reson why it never get solved. Because they don't investigate parents. They drop them to quick.
Parents didn't even corporate with the Police, or answer questions Police had when try solve the disappearing.
Blood from DNA found in their car, Big bag missing in their room.
Cadaver search dogs marking in the apartment, not 1 but 2 dogs.
Acting weird when people intervjué parents. Photos and date didn't add up from vacation.
Parent went for a trip day befor it all happen and shut off their phones.
(I think it was then. the cover up happen. Not the day after.)
Parents friends that live over there has record of shady stuff.
There are so meny warning signs points at the parents. And this is just some of the stuff.
And over 90% of the time its someone within the family that are guilty.
I'm 100% that Parent have some thing to do with her disappearing.

While I have no doubt Christian B is not a nice person, I do not think he took Madeleine. When the search started at the reservoir, why did the McCanns not go over there.
The only thing they don't have on Christian B is any evidence, they are just scapegoating a bad guy, convenient Scapegoat, they refuse to go after the parents
They were never involved in any search. They got out of the place as quickly as they could.
She's dead. Threw in the sea by...her father. So much proof that she died in the apartment. And why did the mum wash her childs favourite toy, surely you would want to keep your kids scent on something that could be her lasting memory of her.
Amazing how similar this is to the Ramsey case.
Tell the truth
Id Christian B tells where the body is, then we can stop blaming the parents, but all evidence still points to the parents, and it was an accident, but if the parents threw her away in a hole, that's a horrible way to honor their child. That's nor even a proper burial. That's so despicable to me.

Martin Smith seen Gerry McCann carrying Maddie towards the beach.
He was 80% sure it was Gerry McCann and his wife agreed with him. Then there are two witnesses, Tapas staff employees, Starikova Vitorino & Joaquim Batista, who made police statements the next day stating Gerry was missing from the restaurant for approximately 30 minutes. Their statements are in the PJ files and can be read online.

This is ridiculous. There's nothing here that incriminates Brückner, even if there would be something belonging to Madeleine it'll only show that someone has brought Madeleine or some items of her belongings to this place and that could be anyone including the real suspects, that is the McCann couple. Christian Brückner takes the focus away from the Portuguese pj files in which the truth of what really happened to Madeleine can be found.
It's a total waste of time and money and nothing will be found. I believe it's just a PR stunt.
@@ruthbashford3176 Brückner is nothing but a scapegoat and it's evident that some influential people in the UK, are interested in deflecting attention away from the McCanns. I wonder who they are and why they stubbornly year after year keep supporting the McCanns.
As long as this Christian B is attracting the public interest, investigative journalists haven't got the chance, nor the support from MSM to do what they should do, which is to write and analyze the Madeleine case based on facts, most of which are documented in the published Portuguese police investigation, which was carried out between 2007/08 and there's nothing in it suggesting that a person like Christian Brückner would be implicated in the disappearance of Madeleine.

Yes Ruth, that sentence in Kate's book reveals a lot on a deeper level. The McCanns hid Madeleine's body that night and they may have moved it days later, and at whatever place Madeleine's body was buried it cannot be too far away from PDL. The church in PDL to which the McCanns got the key is a place that hasn't been properly searched as far as I understand, especially the church yard. I also would like to see Robert Murat's garden (Casa Liliana) be dug up, even though I believe that the guy from South Africa, who claimed to know that Madeleine was buried there is a kind of a weirdo, but Clarence Mitchell's "leaving to stone unturned" should urge the Portuguese Police to dig wherever some person claims Madeleine could be

Crazy how much publicity this case gets just because the parents are loaded.
Not only loaded. They have connections to the British elites.
They were not loaded when Madeleine was killed. Quite the opposite.
They have however profitted by her death, which in itself is shameful.
Imo, the parents are not rich, and I think they don't want the attention on themselves. They keep the case active so that "it appears" they are still searching and hopeful that Maddie is found alive. I don't believe the Mccanns. I believe in the scenario of Goncalo Amaral. The Mccanns didn't want to lose their twins. The Mccanns were negligent, no doubt, but they want this to go away.
Kate, washed Maddie's soft toy 'cuddle cat'. In previous days/weeks, she takes cuddle cat to press conferences and makes sure she is seen on camera sniffing the soft toy. What parent would wash a soft toy when your child is missing, to most of us that would be the last thing on our minds.
I believe cuddle cat was washed intentionally to remove any trace of Maddies DNA as testing of hair samples would show she was sedated every night.
Why was Gerry sent back to England to collect samples containing Maddies DNA. Surely Maddie had a hairbrush, toothbrush or comb in Portugal???
This along with the McCaans deleting all mobile phone history and refusing to participate in a reenactment with the rest of the Tapas 7, the cadaver dogs alerting to clothing, Kates's fingerprints only found on the window, the twins sleeping through all the chaos of the night and not waking to 11am the next morning (possibly also sedated) Tony Browns office whisking the McCaans out of Portugal as soon as it was made public they were considered suspects, Scotland Yard instructing the Metropolitan Police that the McCaans and the Tapas 7 were not to be investigated any further.
Something is not right here, I believe Detective Amaral's theory to be correct.
Strange how the McCanns have shown no interest in CB.
Even stranger is Julia Wendell turning up for Maddies 17th vigil with tne intention of talking to the McCanns.
And what did the McCanns do.
They fled for the hills taking a long weekend break.

why did this Christian B change his plates? That is extremely suspicious. If his cellphone was pinging in that area, what is happening to circle in on his alibi on the few days before and after Madeline went missing. Older children cru too, and possibly try to escape.
It is not suspicious as the car was sold before Madeleine disappeared. Brueckner lived in the area so his phone would signal in the area.
If a cadaver dog had alerted to the past-presence of a corpse in Brueckner's campervan it would have been enough to get him arrested over the disappearance of of Madeleine McCann.
It's their fault! Who tf leaves their kids in a hotel room while the parents drink with friends?! I blame the mother!

The amount of hard evidence in this case is inversely proportional to the existing chaos of 'witness' accounts, conflicting points of view, nebulous documentaries, conspiracy theories, unsubstantiated suggestions, and groundless conjecture.
The hard evidence in this case is that two EVR dogs detected blood residue and cadaver odour in the McCann's apartment, hire car and only on items belonging to the them. Cadaver dogs are 94-98% accurate, so trusted, in fact, that their uncorroborated alerts are now allowed in courts as evidence in both the US and the UK.
The Portuguese police had good reasons to make the McCanns suspects, which of course, they still are even though their arguido status was lifted.
As Goncalo Amaral pointed out when the McCanns lost at the ECHR
"The couple are suspects, were suspects and remain suspects. Nothing has happened to the contrary." Quite!

The Portuguese police found NO evidence Madeleine had been abducted and that all evidence pointed to the McCanns being involved in their daughter's disappearance. The Supreme Court in Lisbon, when Kate & Gerry lost their libel action against Goncalo Amaral, pointed out the McCann had not been ruled out of involvement in Maddie's disappearance.
So far the only evidence Madeleine was abducted are the self-serving statements of her parents.
If you think there is no hard evidence Madeleine was abducted you obviously know very little about this case. The hard evidence is the fact that a cadaver dog alerted to the past-presence of a corpse in the McCann's apartment, hire car and only on things belonging to them.
There is also a considerable amount of circumstantial evidence against the McCanns which anyone can find if they actually research this cold case.
What you will not find is any evidence of an abduction.

I think she was. It seems she was a bit of an extrovert and a lively child. This comes across in the videos that were shown. I worked in nurseries and came across children and say to myself that they have lived before and I get that impression of Maddie. Justice for Maddie. The truth will out.
