Reinventing the Future: Dr. Gwendolyn Boyd - Full Remarks

Dr. Gwendolyn E. Boyd accepts the ASME Nancy DeLoye Fitzroy and Roland V. Fitzroy Medal, which recognizes pioneering contributions to the frontiers of engineering that have led to a breakthrough in existing technology, or to new applications or new areas of engineering endeavor. Dr. Boyd makes ASME history as the first African American and the first woman to win the ASME Fitzroy medal since its creation. Dr. Boyd discusses the importance of reinventing the future of engineering by being inclusive all future engineers, and underscoring the fact that engineers are not born-they are made.
