Fantasia is one of those rare artists who can actually make you FEEL something behind the vocals. That's why I miss the old school soul singers
I think Fantasia is the only Contestant/Winner who have come back and performed the most.

She's an amazing singer. One of the best singers I've heard in any genre of our time. However, I don't understand why she isn't getting the recongition she deserves. It's the industry indeed that doesn't support extremely talented singers such as Fantasia. We love them...
I LOVE HER...she is one of the females out there that sounds even better LIVE....& there are not that many out there at all.....If you feel nothing when she sings then you are just soul-less...buy her album so she can put some SOUL back into you!

i just love it...such a soulful singer..i just sit and listen to this powerful singer over and over never ceased takes my breath away....
The song is lyrically difficult to remember, because she's telling a story and not repeating the same thing over and over again. Kudos to her for remembering the lyrics.

Hands down no questions asked of the greatest Idol! I'm so ready for her CD to come out. She was a little more reserved with this performance but i love it when she cuts up on the stage too now lol. She was on the best season of idol with the incredible Jennifer Hudson and Letoya London. Idol isnt the same anymore because they dont put singers like her through anymore.

If all of the songs on Fantasia's new album are as soulful as this one and the lyrics are as meaningful as this one....this could be the album that finally gives her the just due that she deserves. Soulful R&B songs are niche; not the hip-hopish stuff. Much of what she's recorded in the past - especially on her second album - just didn't showcase her unique voice and style as songs like "Bittersweet" and "Even Angels" from her upcoming release do. Kudos!

You are SO right!! Bless your heart for not just being able to recognize quality singers when you see them, but for really standing up for their talent and reminding us that we should support them too! I wish soul music would make a full comeback ; I was thinking that the kind of singers we had until the 70's were dead and gone, but thankfully they seem to be coming back.
