- The tour opener of the Claypool Lennon Delirium 2019 Spring Tour at the Danforth Music Hall on April 10, 2019.
For the Beatles cover of “Tomorrow Never Knows” they brought out Geddy Lee of Rush on bass.
The bassists from two of the best bands ever, playing one of the best bands of all time's best songs, sung by the son of the guy who wrote that song. Unreal!!!
Let me rephrase that a little for you. The best bassists in the world from two of the best bands in the world
@@davidcollins7306 Nah I'll go with my original comment, thanks
THE best band of all time
Beauty
Someone said that Ringo Starr was the Best drummer, someone else replied he wasn't even a good drummer
Gotta love the idea of having two legendary bassists play at the same time, on a song that pretty much just repeats one note on the bass. 😂
It's just as well. Can you imagine the pair of them soloing on something? That would be too much bass for one universe.
I met Geddy during intermission at this show.
Dude, that's sick. Can you go into more detail? Did he walk past you in the lobby, or whaT?
Dude! Thats like saying you had sex with a hot chick and no details to back it up...
I like that Geddy is using Les' bass, and Les is using a McCartney style bass!
Huh?
Les isn’t using a hofner
It's an Eko (I think that's how it's spelled) bass. Italien Brand Sounds quite different to a hofner and many would say better. Les has been collecting these for a while now and has been using them alot.
Totally wrong. 😂
What a moment. Les shares the stage with his bass hero playing his own rig.
Lennon, Les and Lee!
Noice! Thanks
John said in several inteviews he was very proud of "Tomorrow Never Knows," but it was a song he and the Beatles could never perform live because of the technology of the time. You gotta know somewhere in the great beyond he's getting a kick out of Sean turning it into a "rock anthem!"
Pop is proud I'm sure
💝
very cool to see Geddy thumping around a Pachyderm bass.
This is turning into one Hell of an Awesome Band . Got to see them Live .
With Geddy and Les in the same room, I'm surprised the whole place didn't get sucked into a singularity.
It brings tremendous joy to my heart that this happened.
not surprised at all - first time I ever saw Primus was when they opened for Rush- they were one of the best openers ever !!
He is John's child, therefore he is living though him and I am glad for it. Les Claypool? Wow what a great fit💖
Can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like for Sean to sing his Dad’s songs, especially this one - so many emotions. Great performance.
The Universe just imploded!
Les is totally geeking out haha, interesting to see him so humbled
i love how geddy has worn the basically the same thing on stage for like almost 7 years
Two of the greatest bass players in the world right there!
This is amazing on so many levels. I never realized how awesome Sean has gotten in the past 20 years. He's in his element. I love both of his parents, and he's bringing us joy now, too (with a little help from his friends, who are also amazing).Ultimate fist-bump!
Unreal.....I never really gave Sean any credit and I guess he is really finding his own. Hearing Getty play again is a gift. Thanks for the upload!
Thank you for posting this. Can't stop watching.
Incredible! We love you Geddy! ✌️❤️
Gotta luv seeing Geddy Lee's rockin Les's bass !
Super-duper jealous of whomever got to see this live.
Wow!!! Geddy and Les. Talk about a dream team!
Thanks for posting!! I'm still on cloud nine from witnessing that lastnight! As Les said what a dream come true!! Two of greatest bassists of all time sharing the stage!!
That is the second time Ged has played with a Beatle's son! He sang The Seeker with Zak Starkey on drums.
First time I can LOVE a Beatles' song! Wow! Just f*cking WOW !!!!
Great job capturing that amazing moment! Thanks for the upload!
Rush and Lennon's mantra prayer. You don't get any better than that. Hail to the Holy souls most high. 🙏❤
Happy 60th Birthday, Les Claypool!
Holy FUCK. That is so much sound. The origin of psych rock in a modern psych context. Mindblowing.
Ged playing a Carl Thompson. This is freaking awesome. I would love to see this in person. What's badass is that the way he sounds you know it's him no matter what he's playing on. Thank you so much to the uploader!!!!
Geddy fucking Lee. You know, there will be a time when he's gone. But never forgotten.
I've heard a few sons sing their father's material and its always glorious. They got that timbre down in the DNA amazing, blows my mind.
delightfully freaky and rendered - bravo to Sean and Les for pulling this all together - Sean's brim is killing me though shades of Leon Wilkinson's Bobby Hat (another outstanding bass player)
Daaaamn I so wish I was at that show. Geddy is one of my all time favourite performers. I'm seeing them this Sunday in Boston, I hope we're treated to a surprise of such radness 💖
Bravo, if only they did a cover of the entire 2112 album. ;)
Two of my bass idols playing a song that featured a third... doesn't get much better than this.
R.I.P. Chris Squire, the only one off that list not involved in this.
Absolutely awesome!!! Will be up against the stage Saturday night. So jealous Geddy showed up for the Toronto show. Congrats on an sweet surprise!
Oh my damn... I JUST realized that that's Sean on John's vocals. Excellent!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!!
That was something else. Fantastic.
Incredible!
Utterly brilliant
I hope the Lennon Claypool Delirium create more
This is on repeat. Absolutely epic moment.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for Sharing!!!
How friggin Awesome that was.
Fantastic and thank you for video. I am seeing them in Detroit 2 weeks...
Ty for this glorious upload
thanks for posting!
Fantastic! Thanks for sshowing Les and Geddy up close on the breaks
Never saw this, but I don't live on the internet. This is an amazing performance offering an amazing gift. Geddy. I have seen this band twice. They're incredible. They also do King Crimson's In The Court Of The Crimson King. Really great!
Sincerely I cried!
Thank you. Day made.
So great to see Geddy back up on the stage! 5:40 classic Ged.
This is excellent
Glad someone got this.
Just Epic!
Just like heaven.
This is almost too much greatness the stage could collapse
Sounds good, really good. I'd love to check them out live. Come to Vegas.❤
John would be proud!
How cool is this?!!
Awesome stuff, which I was there to see them perform this song live! Hopefully be on D.V.D. and C.D.. sometime !
There's Sean wearing that RIDICULOUS hat. His father didn't need oversized props to demonstrate his personality.
Deadly!
Just admit it...there are times when you need a Canadian to walk into the room
More times than not my friend, those Canadians are some fine folk.
CANT FUCKING BELIEVE I MISSED THIS SHOW REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Hey Geddy, where's your hat? We're all wearing hats tonight........ Ummmmm yeah, I'm not a douche, I don't wear hats, but you guys look great, rock on......
Yeah!
Having this on infinite loop would not be a bad thing.
Can't wait to meet ged.
Go see this tour if u can. Just saw it in new haven, legendary stuff
Two words...'Really Cool'!
¡Excelente !
Finally! a lennon singing a lennon song.
Wow!
Geddy and Alex both belong on stage performing for an audience! How long until they find a way back? :-D So good to see Geddy still playing :-D So long Neil, Thanks for all the great tunes and memories!
So much bass Yet the Perfect Sounds are happening on Stage
Les in awe of his one of his idols... I'd be recoiling too.
WHAT?!?! MORE! MORE!
Wow!!😲🤘😍
Its so nice to see Geddy still wanting to play music. Be it in tribute or for fun. I dont think he'd ever just be done. Thats just not the kinda musician he is.
Great song! Great Bass! We need a sbd of this at highest quality to take in all that bass. Progressive rock at its best
I was there, very lucky
O.M.F.G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
holy shit!!!
I would love to see a Studio version of this version.
Wow! I never knew this happened :D I've wanted to see Les and Geddy(and Flea) on the same stage for a very long time.
that was a fucking amazing concert!
Out of my minddd
It’s still possible to have a lifeson mccartney, and LEE composition, recording and performance. Communicate to make this happen
When gods meet, great things happen
Wow
i was there
good rendition of Beatles TNKs....2nd only to 801 lives version from 1976....
