    I got mine, and I could tell in the first mile, they are wonderful. I did my fastest time of 14 miles 3 minutes faster. Ive been riding the same route for over a year and a half and the day I installed the RideNow tpu inner tubes, I cut my time down by over 3 minutes. I have continental GP5000, on a Trek Carbon fiber Road bike. And by far the best upgrade you can make for the money. And as of this comment Aliexpress has the Cyclami Tpu tubes, with a treaded valve stem coming in at 38grams, and $30 for 4, which is an even better deal. I highly suggest getting some of these tubes. You will not be disappointed, Hell the smile they will put on your face is worth twice the money.

      3 minutes over 14 miles is a huge improvement. Usually, tyres and tubes are the best value for money upgrades.

    Nice review, well done. In my opinion, the greatest benefit of these tubes is that they are much more compact than butyl tubes. That means I can fit two in my tool/repair container rather than just one butyl tube. Thus, if I have a puncture, I don't have to be nervous about getting a second puncture and having no way to repair it. Road side patch kits are not always reliable, especially if using CO2 inflators. What I do, is keep these in my repair container and if I get a flat, I install one of these to get home. Then take it back out and install a regular Butyl tube once I get home. The TPU tube is then placed back in my tool container to bail me out of the next puncture. So I don't run these continuously, only use them as an emergency back up.

      Patching tubes on road side never work for me. It is just easier to bring a spare tube.

      @@cycleandexplore I agree. However, I always keep a glueless patch kit with me just in case. It's better to have it with the 50/50 chance it might work. If you don't have it at all then it s 100% sure not to work.

    I'm glad you talked about the pressure loses because that's my biggest complaint with Latex. I like the ride feel of latex and I can tell the differences between latex and the Aerothan tubes I tried. The PTU tubes were harder and overall the bike did not seem to handle as nicely. But needing to pump up the tires before every ride is a step I would like to eliminate. I might give the RideNow tubes a try.

      Latex gives me the best riding experience, but it needs to top up almost every day. It became too time-consuming on a daily commute. PTU gives me the right balance of road response and air retention. RideNow just makes it very affordable and accessible.

      Great to hear! I enjoy them on my ride. Just remember to check the pressure once a week for the best riding experience.

    I normally check my tires before every ride because I'm afraid of pinch flats and I've been using butyl tubes since I got into cycling, and wasn't willing to spend $30/$40 on an inner tube. Now that the prices have come down, I'm willing to give TPU tubes a shot on my ENVE Foundation 65 wheels (Latex and the loss of air pressure doesn't appeal to me)

    I'm riding challenge latex + vittoria 28 mm corsa control on my commuter bike. I must pump it up every 2 days but for the perfect super smooth ride feel/speed i like to invest this 30 sec extra time.

      Nice one. I keep my Latex for events and race days. I am just too lazy to pump it every second days.

    Saving 119g each compared to my current tubes. With the spare tube that’s ~350g saving! Change your seatpost, saddle and bolts and easily save 0.5kg off the bike.

    I got a puncture on the rear using this tube. I patched it and that fixed it. The removable valve doesn't come out easily and I know someone that broke the plastic stem trying to remove the valve core. I'd probably look at another brand or put my latex back in with the removable core.

    Can you remove inner core of tube to add extensions?

    • @cycleandexplore
      @cycleandexplore  Рік тому

      It seems that the value is some form of light weight plastic and value core is glued. I wont be removing the core unless you really have to.

      Supersonic really has mixed review. Maybe one day I will give it a try.

      @@cycleandexplore be nice to see someone compared them, I had issues installing tpu, I followed instructions but out of 4 inner tubes I got a good long lasting one (installed fully deflated), and one that feels pump up every 2-3 days (installed with bit of air in it), I like to know how supersonic compares as know no matter how install it have less issues to hold air for a week
      Forgot to add I look forward to it you do

    I just purchased some RideNow tubes but hesitating to install them yet. The reason is there is a adhesive decal with a hole die cut out of it and
    I'm not sure if I'm supposed to place the decal over the stem before installing it onto the rim. There are no instructions written on this. Are you
    able to elaborate on this?

    • @cycleandexplore
      @cycleandexplore  Рік тому

      I didn’t install any decal. I don’t think it matters.

    • @LR6092
      @LR6092 Рік тому

      I believe it goes over the stem once installed. It will keep the stem from bouncing around in the hole of the rim at the same time as keeping road debris out

    you are asian and you have never ordered from aliexpress and i am not and i have been doing it for ten years or so
    2/why would you put a super light tube in a commuter..makes no sense..

      I initial swapped out the butyl to TPU to get a better road feeling and lighter weight. I like it so much so I keep it the way it is.

      Reducing rotating weight at the edges of the wheel has a significant impact on road feel and energy expended when accelerating. Because commuting tends to have a lot more stops and starts, making it more energy efficient to accelerate is worth having.
