@Terra Spatial Thank you for such a simple lesson on LULC. I am a beginner in GIS, so I have some basic questions which if sounds very basic or stupid, kindly bear with me. I have understood all the parts of the video lesson except the first part where you choose 7 images namely B1....B7 with 7 which are 7 bands as you said. Could you explain more about those images? I mean may I know what is the difference between these 7 band images and why do you 7 images why not four or three or five. Some specific questions. a. I have an image of an area from LANDSAT 4, the year 1997. How should I proceed ahead with doing LU/LC classification of that area? b. Also, I want to do the LULC for the same area in a space of 10 years till 2017, how do you suggest should I choose/ download images from LANDSAT
Hello Mr. Shushant Vasisth thanks for the comment and feel free to ask question any question related to GIS & Remote Sensing. For this analysis i had used band1, band2, band3, band4, band5, band6, and band7, which are Coastal Aerosol, blue, green, red, Near Infra-red, Short-wave Infrared, Short-wave Infrared 2
Hi Sakshi Harde, please check whether Spatial Analyst tool is enable, On the top of the screen you can find Customize --> Select --> Extension and enable Spatial Analyst tool. thanks for your valuable question.
Hello Mr. Subedi, After reclassifying the raster image, use the tool raster to polygon. Then you can open check the attribute three feilds are available a) FID b) Count c) value, please select the c) value and merge together & area calculation is possible. Thanks for your comment.
Hello dear Thanks for your useful video The supervised Classification included three methods: Likelihood Maximum , Minimum Distance to Mean , Parallelepiped. which one of these methods you use in this video? have you any idea for using MLP Classification in GIS?
Hello Mr. Kamyar Tour, thanks for your valuable comment. I used Supervised Classification which is called "Interactive Supervised Classification tool" and used Maximum Likelihood Classification. I have the knowledge of MLP Classification in GIS.
Nice one, one of the easiest way. All the learners should visit this.
