They actually have done a fight like this before where they put Deadpool up against the mask. In the trailer they literally said they were going to kill Deadpool.

The fastest time ever recorded in death battle was when megaman.exe zoomed around his entire universe in under a minute which calculated to him moving over 3 novemdecillion times faster than light which is a 3 followed by 60 zeroes, and a living sea sponge just completely destroyed that record quintillion times over.

The fastest competitor in the entire show was archie sonic, who was so fast he could outrun stopped time. And since the formula for speed is distance ÷ time, it was literally impossible to calculate archie sonics speed

In his defense, he might be physically stronger than his serious incarnations, like the DCAU, the DCEU, etc.
Most forms of aquaman in the comics can step up to superman on land. Obviously not beat him, but still.

1:09 Nah, Boomstick was saying that they're prioritizing the *cartoons* over the comics. Which means that they're not counting any of their "OP" feats from their comic iterations. So yeah, they're not taking "everything" into consideration on this fight, but they usually do take EVERYTHING into consideration in most Death Battles. Lol

That's because with comic book characters they sometimes need too specify the adaptation they are using, sometimes the differences between the two make the fight just completely unfair or more fair
This is the adaptation of Aquaman that was such a joke that it singlehandedly destroyed the reputation of all past and future adaptations of the character including the comic source material in the eyes of the general audience even well into recent memory (as you referenced at 7:45).

If a speed is INcalculable it's not even really a speed anymore, you've kinda just BROKEN speed. That's basically the Flash's JOB, but at the same time such feats are kinda less impressive due to it being, well impossible to calculate. It's basically just slapping infinite speed onto something.
@@haku8135 While I disagree that in stories incalculable speed as a concept is inherently less impressive than insane calculable speed I can understand your stance that it makes such speed kind of moot point in valid character comparisons and can make characters like the Flash who famously embody the concept less interesting to some readers.
@@KHloreExpert It's not that it can't be IMPRESSIVE, Flash's feat of moving faster than instant teleportation is ABSURDLY awesome, especially in the context of the story.
But it also makes any concept of a "top speed" inherently silly. Even saying he has infinite speed doesn't mean anything. He's just left behind the whole concept of speed.
Making someone capable of doing that just at will kinda lessens a story, when they're THAT absurd all the time what's the point of telling the story anymore? Just say "everything was fine forever, the end." Trying to scale up from there or trying to create another threat, kinda just doesn't matter. It's this that makes Dragon Ball so stale now. Power levels are so nonsensical now they just have to say "this is the strongest punch Goku has ever thrown". Like IN DIALOGUE. They don't have anywhere left to go, but they're still going.
Flash did this perfectly, sure he COULD achieve that speed, but it's not like it's just a matter of trying harder. It takes specific circumstances to do that.

I loved this reaction from you guys! This was great! I loved this episode because of how hilarious it was! The best part was how Wiz & Boom was aware of how pathetic the cartoon Aquaman is. LMAO
I also loved the ending, because I truly felt sad for Aquaman, and Spongy was sad for him too, which made me even more sad. 😢 He may have gotten his name wrong, but I know that it was obviously unintentional, and that he cared about him in the end, hence why he drew that special memorial for him--which was so sweet and touching... 🥺😢😭💔
This was my favorite episode, mainly because of the fact that I'm an OG fan of Classic Spongy (from Seasons 1-3), so as a big fan, this episode was bound to be my favorite. Haha
You guys should most DEFINITELY keep going on the Death Battle reactions, because it's my favorite thing to watch on UA-cam! you guys just gained a new subscriber a orthodox turco-german muslim from germany also i highly recommend these death battles: optimus prime vs gundam, magneto vs tetsuo, sonic vs mario (first one since second one got debunked), deadpool vs deathstroke, thor vs vegeta, saitama vs popeye, goku vs superman and my most favourite: ghost rider vs lobo.

Archie Sonic or silver or the flashes could beat him. The key word was ‘calculable’ speed feat. Since the flashes and Archie sonic and silver are too fast to calculate they’d be the only ones who’d be fast enough to hit Spongebob. Combined with the force of said speed they might be able to kill him. Especially considering Wally made Death cease to exist and Archie Sonic and Silver are theoretically even greater users of toon force with their feats those characters could trump Bob’s regeneration and beat him.
