Tips for my fellow beginner braiders: Get a thread holder and separate the braiding hair on the pegs beforehand. Make sure each adding hair is small and equal in size. In this video, she adds hair to each braid 7 times. So if you want your braids to be even like hers keep that number in mind.
Just did this style to my hair today, except I did 6 instead of 8. A gift and a curse knowing how to braid your own hair. A gift cause you don't have to pay anybody else to do it, but a curse cause after a while, your arms get tired lol
@@kaykaygreen7452 sis this video is EVERYTHING!! Thank you for all the great details especially how you start each braid, I've had trouble with it and you gave me a different perspective. Now I have to perfect how much hair to add each time. Thank you!!
I really appreciate you stating that you HAVE to braid in one spot first before you continue on and feed in hair. I didn’t know this for a very long time and couldn’t understand why my braids were tight and neat but looked like it was dragging in the front. No one explained this to me but through trial and error I figured it out. This is going to be super helpful to someone up and coming. Many helpful tips all throughout ❤️
Hey I know your comment is old but I had the same issue until I bought this 3 way mirror from Amazon, it literally lets you see all parts of your head and you can hang it on your door and everything
love how you explain that you cornrow the front 3-4 times before going back thats what i was doing wrong i was racing it back, but thanks to you i got this.
For people saying they cant and that it's hard PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE that's how u will get better I 100% guarantee bcoz everyone has their own technique and ways but you will eventually find yours x
Hi thank you so much ..It is the first video that I see that someone take the time to show each step slow and until the end , from parting to feed in . thanks a million girl. You rock ! 😁😍
Best video ever!! Seems pretty straight forward , I just don't get how people part their hair 😕, when I part even if the line look straight and clean, the hair I'm cornrowing is uneven P.s what do you do with the ends of hair? Band them?

Wow watching this just made me realize what I was doing wrong while trying to braid cornrows. I wasn't braiding the first section of hair enough times before I proceeded. Like she says, it anchors the braid. Man....smh. Its the little things. 😩
Wanna truly say ✨✨THANK YOUUUU FOR THIS VID ✨✨ loved the way u explained everything ! I sat on my bed and watched it fully. Then attempted it without the mirror, and it came out really good! Took my ass to the hair store real quick 😂
Heyyyy girll it's Johnny Bliss coming at you I've been braiding for ever and im still practicing on my head🤘 Thanks For The Video girl I'm going to go for it😁
It would be soooo cool to learn how to do that, like I can Dutch braid my hair and others but I would NEVER be able to do this that is just amazing to me anyone else??
what is the best hair you recommend for feeding cornrows into afro style hair? what would I ask for? Premier quality hair that don't look cheap and noticeable. Thanks
My brains: now you know how to cornrow. My hands: no you don’t

Ooooh so the section you add aren’t supposed to get bigger?
@@alyshasmith858 Exactly, they stay the same size, and over time the braid will gradually get bigger because you keep adding hair.
Do I only need one package of hair?
@@Atzedernatzte it depends how big you make them and how many you do
@@ractastic._432 6 and average thickness lol
watched this vid minimum 6 times, finally attempted and it looked niceee! believe in yourselves kings and queens

Large foreheads have been a beauty standard in many African cultures for years, don’t let that stop you from wearing braids
