Very clever set up. As an old Carpenter and wood turning hobbyist I have found most Tradesmen/ladies, artists, etc, etc, etc are also tool collectors. You and I fall into that collector category.
@@JOHNSmith-pn6fj thanks for your comments. I also believe that if I own it I should use it , if it is an appropriate tool for the job. But if it’s in a box l will forget I even own it.
Hope it works out for you! My next video will be sanding hints. I have also finished the filming on all the details related to my custom built lathe. that will come out next month
Clever design!! I spy a couple Jerry Glaser tools in your arsenal.... NICE! We'd love a complete shop tour... One on your lathe, especially. Thanks for sharing!!❤
Thanks for the comment. I find when sharpening the Glaser tools, they heat up more easily. My plan is to do a shop tour video and one on my custom lathe as well. Stay tuned..

Hi Dennis. This last project of yours is quite interesting. It's not easy to keep the tools organized and available, but out of the way. You have done some amazing work! You should have been a mechanical engineer. Happy New Year.
Interesting design. The second carousel, I'm assuing the the thread and flange are left hand thread? If they were conventional right hand thread you would be loosening the pipe when stored away, and tightening when pulling out for use. I'm thinking it should be possible to get a flange with a bearing in it, like a pillow block but designed for sideways pressure, then you could do without the lazy Susan, and have less parts. Just some thoughts. I'm also in the process of reorganising my workshop, but from the looks I have a little more room in mine, or just less equipment, lol. Good name btw, I'm also a Dennis.

Ingenious carousel /track organization 👍
I will be copying it😎
Glad to have inspired you.
I’ve been racking my brain some sort of system to store my tools. I’m to see if this works in my garage. Thanks for the idea.

Brilliant solution! I even figured out how to adapt it for my setup in a shop I don't own and can't really modify.
@@lewisdye1002 thanks for watching. Please share your finished solution. Grandpadennis9@gmail.com

I would like a UA-cam tour of your shop arrangement.
that is on my list in the near future. As well as a full video on my custom lathe

thank you for viewing. I was actually a
Social Worker and now Jack of all trades
You really have too many gouges! 😎
I don't have that many so I won't need it. The solution is genius though.
Sometimes a deal or a gift can’t be turned down. But you’re right. Thanks for the comment

Thanks for the comments. With all my stuff and small space I needed to come up with many new ideas.
Honestly, I have a bad back, so I wish everything were on a suspended moving storage rack, including my shoes.
thanks for the comment. sometimes I wish that also. my system does make it easy on the back but making it and installing it needs some agility.
I'm not a wood turner. I am a tool collector. Ha
Yes that is me as well lol
