In the books, Frypan is named 'FryPan' because when they were in the Maze, he was the cook! Before he remembered his real name thats what they called him and it just stuck.

This Series is really cool but I gotta say; Having gone through a Desert before I'm telling you right now I couldn't live in a world like this where almost the world has been lost to fire, the heat in the real world deserts is almost unbearable and I remember passing out from it the first time...

All jokes aside, Aris in the movies is super nice. Very helpful. Genuinely could do nothing wrong. In the books, he and Thomas have a way more, "standoffish" relationship. Basically, in the books, Thomas, Theresa, Aris(and someone else, I think), have the ability to communicate telepathically. Aris does not like Thomas poking around in his head. Oh, and I'm pretty sure he betrays them along with Theresa in the books. So yeah, movie Aris and book Aris are pretty different.

you should keep in mind that teresa did everything she did in order to find the cure. Realistically, she is the selfless one while Thomas and the others are the selfish ones only caring about saving themselves and their friends, leaving the rest of the world to literally die hopeless. (obviously wckd shoudn't just abduct and torture kids but the kids who consent should try to help the world since they are the only ones who can)
i guess she is selfless, but you can´t force other ppl to do things. being selfless is only worth something imo if you´re only giving up yourself.
