First you would ned a local number from singapore . Go to nearest seven eleven snd get a local sim to ensure all your apps work will cost you around 10 SGD
Must download apps :
grab app for taxi and food
citymapper for moving around and mrt
stay around little india for budget stays .
download klook also you can take 3 to 4 activities deal

Download moovit for sure as you will be traveling thru Singapore brt very convenient and cheap for that you need a card that you can get from any seven eleven need to have active Singapore sim that also you can get from seven eleven
If planning to visit universal studio download thier app so it gives you waiting time for each ride and you can decide accordingly. Also klook is very helpful for discounted tickets etc.
