Harmless, no, they do have venom but they're new world and their venom is weak unless you're allergic. They are a docile species but it also depends on individuals as with individual people in a sense. But in general, they're a docile, but flighty species.

They remind me of GBB's but the rump has markings on it instead of a orange rump like the GBB. These are my faves next to the GBB,
