My daughter and I loved this show andxwatched it together. This song is now her ringtone very appropriate for the wonderful veterinary surgeon she is.
One of my most favorite shows as a kid. Would watch it at lunchtime before heading back to school for the afternoon. Wish it was still on TV.
Every comment here I could have written myself. 44 and slightly choked up, remember this show so well, and how I would cry like a baby when the inevitable moment came, and the actors would look around, only to find... him... g-g-gone... sniff. My childhood was defined by loss, I realise now. This, ET, Bambi and Watership Down. It's a miracle I can raise a smile, really.
tune and words just wonderful. born 1970 I love the littlest Hobo ❤
Yep, pushing 50 and this song still gives me a lump in the throat.Always felt sorry that the dog never found a forever home❤
This song reminds us of a time when life was pure and innocent and it makes us sad because we know that time has forever passed... 🐕
Loved the show I'm 45 this year it's brings tears to your eyes
One of the great shows of my childhood.🇨🇦
My dad was literally just telling me about this and it made him cry when he was a kid in the 80s
As another 80's kid I can confirm that the theme song still makes my eyes misty.
Makes me tear up lol
We also watched this growing up in South Africa. We all loved it! And we had Benji too

im 46 yrs old, and my cousin just reminded about this song, and I had to come here and get reminded about my childhood! Geeze!
Reduces me to tears every time I hear it. My childhood in one happy song
Car song with the windows down, head out in the breeze with tongue out
Hearing this brought wetness to my eyes I must admit, feelings of nostalgia for my childhood and my love of dogs.
I still can't listen to this song without crying 😭😍
This for me, was one of those shows you could never really predict when it would come on. Like the Hobo, he just showed up for a few weeks and would dissapear.
This theme song and mysterious cities of gold are my favourite from my childhood.

I used to sing this at the karaoke! Took everyone back to their childhood just for a few minutes. This was my ultimate favourite programme growing up. I always thought he'd find me one day lol. Wish they made tv like this now. Loved it x
