Outstanding work Audey, your skills amaze me! I can certainly see why you'd rather purchase the cases now, but whoever gets this left-handed mandolin & case will surely have a treasure!
I was talking with Adam Steffie, whom I understand you gave lessons to, when I noticed he was signing autographs left handed. So, I had to ask, "Why do you play right handed mandolin if you are left handed?" "Because it's cheaper," was his reply. Judging from this episode, I can see how he was spit on. LOL
I once repaired a primitive coffin- like case for an 1860‘s Martin. Sure cured me of ever wanting to build one of my own! If I were to do so, I’ll refer to this video, never seen it done better.
Somebody else mentioned that also. I'm guilty of getting tunnel vision and seeing only one way. I believe the spray stuff would have been better and easier. There's always more than one way to get a job done......................
That was a nice change of pace. Very interesting. Question: have you thought of using super 77 spray adhesive to glue the foam down and the material onto the foam?
@@RatliffMandolins That is a great deal. I wish I had some extra money. I am loving the mandolin you made for me and it sounds better every day. Janet and I play our twin sister mandolins as much as we can and people comment on how pretty they both are and how great they sound!! Keep up the good work!!

Turned out great Audie. I've used spray glue for some case mods I've done. Works very well.

Looks great!! How much for the Mandola???
I was thinking I should sell it for the current price of a "Country Boy" mandolin just to move it on down the line. $3750
