As you know, I've followed you for years...this mission was by far my favorite...
Matt was right...shooting uphill is a very difficult task...it's like shooting a mortar and one loses sight of the vapor trail temporarily due to the white sky effect...
All in all, I am still amazed at everyone's ability to place those WSM rounds on target for truly ethical harvests...
One day, Rogee, (not Roger😅) I plan on becoming 25 years younger...then maybe, just maybe I'll get a chance to observe your adventures with my naked eyes...

Rodgee I bet you were glad to be back at camp after that massive recovery, the camera never does the steepness any justice. Awesome country to be able to hunt, the fresh air, the crisp water. Great vid Rogee, the South Island has to have some of the most beautiful country to hunt, some great shooting with good friends makes the success's even more enjoyable. The river crossing looked painful indeed, gotta keep the family jewels tucked up, warm and dry, a great adventure shared, friendships bonded for life, what more could you ask for on a great trip like that. Rob Herbert as generous as always that knife will be treasured I'm sure, thanks for taking us along, very enjoyable video.

When ever the hunting season is about to start here in my country, I always stop by your channel for my good luck motivation. I swear I have added hunting in your country to my bucket list. For now I have to dream but one day.....! In the meantime, the deer season is almost upon us again. I will start scouting next month.

Absolutely brilliant film, unlike Mr Randy Newberg you didn't make the same mistake twice! On steep angles I shoot low, learnt the hard way for me! A film on angles would be really beneficial to people like me, you are the experts, great shooting! BTW, we have a tradition, when you give a knife as a gift (I dabble in knife making) the recipient needs to give you a silver coin (or near as damn it) otherwise the knife cuts the friendship, I know, I know, bollocks right?! Just get a coin off him lol!

Yeah bro I kept the skin, pack weight is around 18kg
