- The Veer and Shoot Offense is all about space. Why space? So you can see how many people are in the box so you can run it. But what are the best runs in the veer and shoot playbook? That's what we are going to talk about today.

The hb screen from the quad bunch set is incredible. If you have the numbers, throw the screen, if you don't, throw the slant. If you dont have the numbers and there is linebacker that looks like he might zone, audible to a QB blast. If the D is pressing, and there is only one safety audible to All go. You can also audible to all go on 2nd and short or if you have a killer deep threat WR.

@coachronmckie I realized after I posted that comment that you had already mentioned this in another video, haha. Loving your content, though. I really want to find a way to pull off air raid concepts out of veer and shoot formations. I just don't have time to play with it enough to figure it out.
Hearing the talk about Air Raid...Mesh in this game is some of the best Mesh I've seen in a football video game in a long time. Gun Spread Mesh Spot has answers for every single coverage, it's incredible. Every route is live!
I felt in Madden 24 like Mesh routes just didn't work super well a lot of the time, even the quick outs didn't always get where they needed to go it felt like. Much, much better in this game, it's my favorite 3rd and Medium play.

These types of play through videos are the best because instead of just showing some money play that might work a couple times, showing the development of a flow from the strategy of a given system teaches everyone essentially how to play football!!

3rd formation on gun, Buck sweep is lethal against that mid blitz people run.
Rpo GT Counter also is a great run
Inside split zone is excellent also
Wide bunch RPO zone is great.
Very simplistic offense and take what they’re giving

What’s good coach! Missed the live stream but figured I’d share this with you. There’s multiple teams that run the Veer and Shoot offense.. Tennessee definitely has the widest but I’ve looked around and found these teams;
Veer and Shoot offensive teams;

Mississippi St
Texas St
FIU
Baylor
Minnesota
Buffalo
San Jose St
Tennessee

The hb iso is strong to very good in short yardage situations ..i love this playbook playing ppl in my dynasty they always say after the game that offense is annoying to stop ..i think if damn near perfected the veer and shoot especially now that i use it as run first offense
I agree. This is a super simple offense for beginners, but with a lot of nuance that more seasoned people can make it GO.

The one thing I will never do is quit midgame. I don’t understand that mindset. Even if I know I’m going to lose it’s free practice that’s not in the bubble.
I get that. But I value my time more than that. I’m not saying you don’t so please don’t take this as me talking down to you. I know how tone doesn’t come across on the internet. And I’ll never quit a game that’s almost sim like. But when I run up against someone that does nothing but wildcat or trick plays…I’m out.

Jimmy Johnson had success in College, and the NFL. Won Natty with Miami, and 2 SBs with Cowboys. Jimmy’s college Coach Barry Switzer won Natty at Oklahoma, and replaced Jimmy in Dallas won a SB with Jimmy Johnson’s Cowboys. Pete Carroll, won 2 Natty’s at USC, and won a SB with the Seahawks. Jim Harbaugh won Natty with Michigan, and went to 3 straight NFC Title Games. But these guys are the exception to the rule about college coaches having NFL success.
Great point and I can't believe I forgot about Jimmy and Barry. Those two started at college and then went on to the NFL. The other two were NFL first, then college, then back to NFL...right?
Love your vids on this offense coming from Madden and being a huge Tennessee fan I had trouble running this offense online your vids made me a lot better wish we could get some passing concept vids too seems I do great until the start shutting the run down and pressing the corners

I’m using Tennessee Offense and Iowa States 3 High Defense. Two schemes not too much know about. Being unique and weird will win you more games thank you think!

@@coachronmckie You gotta check it out coach ! Would be fun to break it down with ya. Lots of options, and you can really get some studs to make it roll smoothly on Ultimate Team. I think you’d enjoy how non traditional it is and it really fogs the QB’s thought process.
Obviously opponents see it and want to run the rock but keeping your ends in 4i’s and having a dominant 0 will eat up both A and B gaps. Then you user the middle safety and be the force player (usually oppo back.) Your MLB will now be the alley/fit player.

dbl safety blitz and try to time the snap and shoot the gap with the weak side safety for wildcat. if one of your safeties drop just user the one that stays up high.

One caveat I'd add using the Veer and Shoot as part of a custom playbook for dynasty...if your TE isn't super quick, the TE flat RPOs lose a lot of value IMO. Gotta match to personnel.

Man you gotta check out Mississippi states playbook with Jeff lebby check wide slot left hb power probs my favorite run in the game it’s similar to the pulling tackle to the running back side runs Baylor would do but with a guard sadly very good tho

I agree! Not a ton of air raid stuff. I’m sure once the playbook updates drops there will be more air raid stuff and more 2 TE stuff

Yeah I try to highlight one of the players like I'm going to motion them and then snap the ball. But I have thrown some pick 6s on screens. It sucks.
