It’s hard not to go down this rabbit hole as the pre 66 McCartney certainly looks different than the 67 and on McCartney, nobody can grow a long face in one year but this replacement must have some talent as I’ve watched him play acoustic guitar left hand pretty damn good and sing. It’s all a huge mystery and very confusing, at times I believe the switch happened then other times the evidence seems to dispute it. If this happened there has to be a complex network of people to keep the ruse going.

i think that this is so blatently obviously not the same person. i'm no beatles fan, i hate their shit. but when i watch old old beatles interviews and press conferences, paul strikes me as a strong driving force in the band. he has set values and morals that are obvious. the older paul, faul if you will. he is cocky. he pushed the use of LSD back in the '70s, which paul literally stated he would never do. Ringo refers to himself as the last living Beatle.
It's easier for non-fans to spot the difference, I think because they don't have the emotional fog clouding their judgment.
