I remember renting this game everytime from Blockbuster. God I miss those days. If only I knew at the time that this would become one of the rarest N64 games of all times, I would of kept it haha. Awesome playthrough :)
To be 12 again seeing the new release section at BB and this be there. Only hard core Nintendo Power nerds knew about upcoming games. Back when surprises still existed.
As a kid I was so desperate to play as Lockjaw and Lady Liberty as they were on the back of the 63 1/3rd box and Lockjaw made an appearance at the end of the game! I was sure there would be a way of unlocking them (this was before the era of the internet!) Only last year did I realise that the game was rushed out and this was the 'finished' copy with all the intended characters.
Well, even this isn't a complete game. There was a character known as Hobo Cop who got cut because Nintendo thought he was too offensive. Yeah, a homeless alcoholic is terrible, but a straight up Asian stereotype is A okay with Nintedo, a Japanese company. Well, considering puchout on the Nes, where the Japanese character literally says Kamikaze, this shouldn't be too surprising.
How bad was the original Clay Fighter 63 1/3. I was always curious about this game. It looks like I didn’t miss out on much. I remember liking the first 2 games on the Super NES.
They had an amazing voice over cast for this game. It’s a shame we will probably never get an updated version, but then again, everyone thought that about Killer Instinct and now we’re on season 3 of that on X-Box and PC?
I remember this game, me and my older brother used to play it. It was games like clayfighters that made fighting games fun. What they need to do is make a remake for this game for the newer generation consoles. The graphics would look so much better. :-) but this version is classic. I have to admit it was kind of cheesy, but it was down right hilarious and fun, the characters are the most random weird characters, but again it's all classic. :-) my favorite Characters were Bad Mr. Frosty the Fighting Snowman and Bonker. :-)
I still have the cartridge of this game. It was pretty lucky that I got it. I was obsessed with this game back in the day, and was frustrated that I could only rent it. Well, one of the local Blockbuster stores went out of business and was selling off all their shit for cheap. I went in to see if I could get any good games and... holy shit they're selling Sculptor's Cut! :D I think it was like $15 too, lol. Apparently it's worth over 300 now.
The rarest and most valuable game on the N64, and I feel like it shouldn't be played, and should be put in a museum. It's a relic and holy grail in gaming.
This game is so close to being awesome. Done in 2D, with the claymation shot at 1080p, it would be amazing. Done in pseudo-3D, with the characters consisting of about ten heavily compressed pixels, it looks like shit. ...it was still one of my favorite games back in the day, though.
I really wish we could have an HD remake of this game. The detail on those clay models was amazing, but the images are so badly compressed on N64 you can barely see them. ...but since Interplay no longer exists, I highly doubt the uncompressed images still exist anywhere...
Everytime I'm remember this game, I'm reminded of the time I asked for Smash Bros but got this for my birthday and how I was SO PISSED I got this instead. Looking back tho this game would be fun to play stoned😂
This version is the won with out the insane combos, but has way more characters in the large roster, i'm now starting 2 think. If i really like this one as much as clay fighter's 631/3 on Nintendo 64.
My girl cousin still got these games in the closest she does not kno how much these game are worth now and ima keep it that way cause I want her to keep them she got clay fighter 63/ and all the Mario and South Park games
Kind of a shitty fighting game, but man I loved it back in the day. Mostly due to the fun character designs and of course the Claymation gimmick. I'd LOVE to see this brought back with better mechanics and better visuals.
I remember someone told me about the game and at blockbusters while there going out of business, some kid got that game for just 10 bucks which he got lucky I didnt know this game was very rare. Idk where he is at or what I hope he still has it or... Sold it. If I ever see him somewhere and ask he can sell me his game or something I would definitely collect it.
I use to want this game so bad.. even had plans if renting from blockbuster and never returning. After watching what happened to blockbuster I'll always regret not doing it... fuck
As someone who literally has not heard of this game until today, I'm already sold after the first minute. Why haven't I heard of it until now, other than it heing a Blockbuster exclusive...
Clay fighter was a blockbuster exclusive so no one else had it in stores. The only way to get The game was from blockbuster which I think either wait till they sell games or just don't return it And pay the fee. Also knowing blockbuster they threw away boxes and manuals so complete these game is one of the most expensive n64 games of all time. Its not the best game to play but for sure of the the highlights of anyone's collection.

They should remake this game with today's new technology.
I'd seriously be interested in getting it if they did.
Along with F-Zero!
joecoolmccall They are, yo.
Rotting Flesh
I know! I made this comment a good bit of time before that was ever announced. :)

Oh haha. :) Pretty exciting.
Aaaand it was canceled.
The Clay Fighter series was always a neat idea my mind. It just kills me that Interplay made such a poor execution.
As a kid I was so desperate to play as Lockjaw and Lady Liberty as they were on the back of the 63 1/3rd box and Lockjaw made an appearance at the end of the game! I was sure there would be a way of unlocking them (this was before the era of the internet!)

Yup ! also, I guess that the original Clayfighter 36 1/3 is in Beta/non finalised version.
And this "Scultor Cut" eidtion is in fact the finalized version (not even and add-on, just the "full game").
Denys Aidan I’m pretty glad this game was released, 63 1/3 was awful but it’s name makes sense
Wasn't a great idea that this game was a Blockbuster exclusive.
Well, even this isn't a complete game. There was a character known as Hobo Cop who got cut because Nintendo thought he was too offensive. It has some neat ideas in it, I also like the Earthworm Jim as guest chatacter!
Unfortunate that the original creator had to sell the rights for this to happen and then the series died. 💀
@@KING_STRONGTH this was the last game of the Clayfighter series? So it was Earthworm Jim's fault...
@@greensun1334 Nah other way around, Earthworm Jim died.

@Emilio Gallardo por nostalgia mi amigo. I played the original as a rental when I was a child. I never hot my hands on the sculptor's cut

@@urbancreekfishing6216 no one cares. CF 63 on N64 classic for fans
This game is really, really good compared to 63 1/3 and the original two Clayfighter games. This game is the best in the Clayfighter series.
This is the best Clay Fighter in my opinion, 63 1/3 was awful.
