Of all the songs on this album this is my favorite. Brings both warmth and tears to my soul. Sierra, such a wonderful song and performance. I don't know any more adjectives to use to describe you or your music. I fall in love with you with each note. I'm 64 years old, and have never wanted to meet someone more. You are my bucket list.
This song is a beautifully somber reflection on love and betrayal. The poignant lyrics capture the raw emotions of discovering infidelity, and the imagery of burning the letter at the water's edge is both haunting and powerful. The repeated refrain, "Now you don't have to whisper, I know," resonates deeply, conveying acceptance and heartbreak simultaneously. It's a touching reminder of the enduring nature of love, even when faced with profound heartache and grief
I play guitar. Stick with country, blues and even gypsy jazz. I was totally burned out on any one else's music. Couldn't find enjoyment in listening to anyone sing. It was something that was a big part of my being at one time. Don't listen to radio other than Willie's station when driving. Don't watch TV or movies because everything sucks now. I recently stumbled onto Sierra going through you tube. I do have someone I can listen to now. Thank you Sierra.
Every track on this new album is BRILLIANT. Being in this lock-down has given me a chance to listen to more brilliant Country music, mainly anything by Sierra!
I am a big fan of Sierra Ferrell. She is such an amazing talent. She gets lost in her music and becomes it. At times drunk with it. I think she can play just about any instrument she picks up. This kind of talent doesn't come around often. I like her album but feel that I love when its just her, fiddle or a mandolin. This song just hits me every time. Its such a beautiful piece. It gets into my heart, my soul. I prefer the version with just her and her guitar, a fiddle, a mandolin in its raw form. It has a bigger effect as a song. Its just a beautiful song in its raw form. Ok I'll shut up now....
Just listened this morning taking my son to school. Congratulations on a great album release. Thanks for the great music. Greetings from central Florida.
BRAVO !!!!!!! - I LOVE YOU SIERRA - this song is a HIT at the level of Tennesse Waltz as far as its popularity and part of the Amercan songbook, Chapter 1
This is such a beautiful finish to the album. I was looking forward to how you would close the album and while my fav song will probably change a bunch in the coming days/weeks, this is definitely top 3. Songs like this are completely what my love for music is all about. Fucking flawless
This reminds me of Allison Krauss. The fiddle and dobro put an image of someone crying in my mind, which I'm sure is the intent. Awesome song, and great vocal talent.
Saw Sierra on WSM this morning. Been listening to occasional appearances with Chris Scruggs. Sitting in my car enjoying tracks on UA-cam. Time to order CD when I get home.
i feel like i'm in my car, watching clouds form or die, waiting for my mom to get out of church. the music the radio would play. hearing the bell and starting the engine. years ago. even those stations are gone now.
The sadness and clearness of Sierra's voice and her lyrics are reminiscent of the late great Tammy Wynette.
This song is so beautiful… I can’t stop listening to it over and over again!
Same ❤
This is one of the most moving songs I've ever heard.
This is the next step in the evolution of country/western. New bar has been set!
