Owen, this video is the first time I’ve ever heard you speak and God bless you sir. I watch WAY too much UA-cam every day about changing my life and self help and motivation and psychology and I understand a lot of things but it hasn’t clicked. The first 15 minutes of this video has absolutely been the information and the encouragement that I’ve been desperately seeking. I have been so low and in a victimhood mentality for years now just dying to get out. I really hope one day I get to meet you sir and do business with you or even just talk with you and thank you.

I finally after 7 years am doing approaches like 8 days in a row. i had no idea how hard of a missing link this was in my life. its like i opened a portal. Now, by no means i have any "statistical" succes. But there is a clear road now, and all the inner work pays off like nothing ever paid off in my life. You can bet your behind ill be in the soonest freetour event in europe. Thank you so f-ing much. I cried smiling, to see people smile around me, because of me, and i really didnt do anything. i can give ppl compliments (thats where im at) and make funny remarks, ppl just are happy to have me. And its amazing the girls who just smile. The amount of woman that i brighten their day a little bit feels soulshattering in a good way. I cannot believe it. This is something that is going to be the only freetime thing i do. I am so gratefull to have found you in 2014, to finally get this. after giant ups and downs this was the obvious missing link.

Rewatching some previous videos, I want to contribute another idea to the discussion. From my own experience, which isn't nothing, ive been alive for 30 years and have been sober most of the time, you can't fake your vibe past a certain point. Your real vibe comes from your past deeds. How much courage have you had? Your vibe is a product of who you are deep down and in truth. Don't try to change it artificially. Be authentic, and if you're a piece of shit, take the corrective action like a man and you will change. People will slap you down, but thats how you are forced to change. Let life change you in your soul, dont try to trick the world with your brain. Hardship and pain is your friend, ironically.

0:00 The importance of challenges and struggle in your life for self-development
-> Owen talks about how rich kids are miserable because they have no challenges to overcome. He explains how he studied marketing and acquired core-competency, which leads to true self-confidence.
2:30 How Owen is utilizing the free tour to create new content.
3:40 How all the good things in Owens life came from tough self-improvement.
4:40 How the victim mentality can be utilized by manipulators who tell the people that they are a victim, then couple that with giving them free stuff and branding themselves their savior who "recognized" that they are a "victim".
5:50 How the first amendment is being eroded.
7:00 The masses are in a derp state.
9:30 Owen explains that achieving peak performance and massive success in all areas of life (social, dating, money etc.) is a matter of focus and that many people grow up in environments and social backgrounds that make it hard to concentrate.
11:00 Owen notes that most of the attendants of the event are probably unhappy and how the state of many people doesn't change permanently when success is achieved in the outside world.
    12:20 How to get happier:
    1. Embrace that you control your own mood and learn to control it.
    2. Start producing habits that create brain-neurochemistry in your favor (Serotonine, Dopamine, Acetylcholine, GABA). Ingest things that help balance your neurochemistry (Supplements).
    3. Doing something where you are actually growing, that is challenging to you, that you believe in and that is allowing to you grow.
13:20 Owen tells of his trip to Mexico.
15:30 The challenge of only amusing yourself and having too much leisure -> people lose their self-esteem because they don't do anything they feel good about anymore.
16:40 Owen tells story about he felt like crying when he didn't get into a castle hotel.
-> Owens vacation in Mexico was too long and he couldn't focus when he got back to Los Angeles. He explains how many people that get rich experience too much leisure and become half out of it through it.
20:04 How work keeps your mind sharp -> Owen explains that fantasies about not working anymore when you are older are misguided, because you will get dumber if you don't keep your mind sharp through challenging it.
22:00 The importance of self-reliance for your self-esteem and society

Cool stuff you're talking about! Thanks for so much value. I would like to add that it seems that it may not just be about development of the prefrontal cortex (which is still very important) but also the healthy connection of it with other brain areas as P. Levine states in one of his videos or other ones, so that the connection is more stable. One of the ways he approaches to support it in SE, he describes as feeling into the body sensation and describing the sensation as body sensation in your own words within your mind or speaking it out (f.ex. in a therapeutic context) to support connection of other parts of the brain with the prefrontal part for example while combining with other steps and tiltration. But there are also other approaches for this by other guys which are interesting as well and maybe sometimes more straight forward. Watching some of your old material right now which was taken down, great things there as well. Looking forward to see your next videos. Have a great day!

Hold yourself to the highest standards, and don't be in awe. get in the head space where you feel deserving of the best. be willing to take risks because you know that you are the value not the things you pursue. Always maintain options on the table and keep things up in the air. Keep things in motion. The moment you get a new job, start looking for anew one. The moment you acquire an asset start looking to sell. stay 3 or 4 steps ahead of your self. your self, your only enemy.

1:08:00 this is exactly what I need. Everyone wants so much money to help people how can someone like me get help when I have no money? I have to learn to make it first so then I could afford help. Please teach me.

The truth is, you could be reading endless free books and watching endless free videos, to get started. But I know the average person simply lacks the personal motivation, so for that reason I want to help them with that, despite that it's their own fault. I want to help them, because end of the day, when they fail, they'll drag down everyone else. So it's about me saying "Not only do I take responsibility for myself, I'll take responsibility for the lazy people too, since otherwise they'll collectivize and come after me and blame me" -Owen

@@OwenCookFreeTour True. I must be beyond average bc i spend everyday reading- sometimes multiple books, every day researching, watching self help financial marketing and investment videos. I act on their advice atleast the part that doesn't require any money. I'm producing youtube videos to the best of my ability, trying motivation videos on a new channel to get monetized, started developing an online course for travel videography. I started my own business after being homeless when covid shut down my job facility. I had the option of staying homeless in L.A or flying to Costa Rica for $90 and now I do promo videos on my iphone SE for a room in a hostel and food but I can't get comfortable here I need to succeed and I don't have anyone, any family to guide mentor help. I'm not lazy nor do I lack motivation I lack guidance knowing what works what leads to success... I hope to meet you on December 3-4. I'm be flying back to the USA to see you guys, probably sleeping outside but I need to know how I can succeed and I will do anything.

Owen, thank you for another video! Do you think that learning marketing was hard because of the paradigm you were in at the time? It seems like letting go would help streamline the internal experience of learning content that you don't vibe with

Imagine the universe was a creative project. What do creative projects need? They need time. They need energy. They need hands. Creative projects start small. You could argue they start from nothing more than the spark of idea, aka the big bang. Then they grow in scope and complexity. Everyone on the project, aka every atom in the universe, is delegated to a task that contributes to its progress, be it menial or profound.
Some projects take hours. Some projects take weeks. This project began 13.8 billion years ago and does not seem close to wrapping up. We are the most recent recruits to this project. What stresses us out is that we’re temps. We have no idea what the deadline or the deliverable is, and we know we won’t be around long enough to find out, and we don’t like it. No one likes being a temp, especially if they start to identify with the role. And we identify with our role hard.
The thing is it’s just a role. Most temps grow into more sophisticated and substantial roles. The single celled organism that died in like a day was certainly a shittier temp role than the human organism temp role. But these two roles are made of the same stuff, just put together in more sophisticated and substantial ways. When you leave this temp job, aka die, the project will still keep going. And more sophisticated and substantial roles will evolve as it does… recruiting all the same stuff that made a star, made a plankton, made you.
A temp is only scared to lose their job if there’s no opportunity on the other side. And this project has unlimited opportunities for growth, on this planet alone let alone others (humanity itself is just one small task force in this project). So what are you going to do about it? You could freak out and despair over your temp role. This seems to be a popular choice these days. Or you could crush the temp role while it’s in your hands - gain experiences, make contributions, learn lessons - to prepare for a bigger and badder role when the opportunity presents itself, which by the looks of this project it definitely will.
Your temp role, by definition, is disposable. In all likelihood the whole human taskforce is disposable. Nevertheless the role was funded. Nevertheless the taskforce was formed. However small, however replaceable, this seat is yours. You decide what you want to do with it.
If you decide to fuck off and kill time and grow bitter until the role is let go, that’s on you. Your resume. Your acumen. Your call. If you decide to be that temp who shrugs off the insignificance and goes all in on the job, punching above your weight and contributing to the creative project in a way that will likely never be recognized or remembered but will make you a stronger candidate for future roles, that’s on you too. Your resume. Your acumen. Your call.
The project moves forward either way.

Reminds me of the movie about the founder of mcdonalds ray Kroc, he starts off as an unsuccessful salesman who drinks a lot, and by the end hes super successful and happy. But what the movie doesnt cover is 10 years later he relapsed into alcoholism and died 4 years after checking into a rehab center…..
