What a great way to stretch your legs. A walk in the park with your cameras.
That image at 2:26 is fantastic, love it. I love shooting my Rollei too!
Cool thanks, I have quickly grown to love the camera.
Wonderful work as usual Todd. Thank you for making the video you always seem so chilled.
Thanks, nature does that to me. ;-)
Excellent work Todd
Thank you very much.
Nice photos. SUPER exposures! In high contrast forest light - I'm envious!
Thanks. I am going to do a video on how I control the highlights with exposure and development.
I admire your steady hands with the Rolleiflex. Beautiful use of high contrast there.
Thanks it’s amazing how low of a shutter speed you can go with the Rollei.
Beautiful color photographs with the Hasselblad X1D II. Those cameras produce great color.
Seriously, the color is amazing out of the Hasselblad.
Great video, as inspiring as usual! Thanks! 🙂
Thanks so much for coming alone on the ride. 😉
Good video Todd. I've driven by that place a few times on my way to Kelowna. I tried to stop there last year but it was closed to the public for some reason. I'll be driving by 4 times in July/August. So hope to stop at least once to get some shots. Hopefully something as good as yours.
Unfortunately the trail was closed about a kilometre in as well, a lot of the trails and hikes seem to be closed right now, not sure why.
I would like to more know about how you approach color balance settings on your digital cameras in situations like this as well as out on the prairie.
Great video. Those big trees make the camera gear, and people, look so small - a wonderful place.
Well I shoot everything in RAW so I fine tune the colour in Photoshop. But I will often shoot in daylight balance just to see how the colour is.
Excellent as always, and nice to see such good results from a "stop along the way to my assignment" in addition to your multi-day treks into the wilderness. Particularly like the leaves in B&W. Speaking of which, I have just started experimenting with CatLabs 80 with my Wista 45-based on your video recommendation; pretty good so far. Thanks for doing these.
Thanks so much for following along.
I also have expensive interests, golf and photography. Both great fun !
I know, right!
Great video
Thank you.✌️
0:50 Remember, commenters, Todd was on assignment. Repeat after me, “he was on assignment.” Ok, good.
Very good!!👍
holla if you ever make it down to seattle
Unfortunately the trilliums weren't in bloom. One plant, three leaves, one bloom every three years. Big and beautiful would look great in square format.
I will have to go when they do bloom!
Nice placement of the highlights on the b&w shots. I have the same meter, but when I am shooting digital and film in same outing, I tend to get lazy and let my mirrorless camera be my film meter.
I do that all the time. Digital camera meters are great now.
Two questions
How did you hit the ball?
What lens did you have on the Hassy?
Love all your videos. Well done.
Thanks
Well, I'm not going on tour anytime soon!
I pretty much used all of my lenses on this shoot, 30, 45, 65 and 90 for the Hassey.
Thanks for watching ;-)
how do you decide which to shoot with between the rollie and the x1d? fantastic content as always.
A lot of the times I just also want to see what it looks like in color. But then there was the mossy tree stump, that’s just a natural color shot. Thanks for watching as always!
Inspiring and relaxing video. What lenses did you use and how do you decide on the focal length? Thanks
Well of course with the Rollei it’s just the 75. I used almost everything with the Blad. 30, 45, 65 and 90.
@@toddkorolphoto Thank you for the reply
I see you develop your own film. I want to get in to that part of photography, Is there any good at home development kits you would recommend? I do only BW 120 film
That's great. Yes Ilford has some home developing kits as well as Paterson, check them out.
Great video Todd. Have to say listening to the sound of the shutters firing the 'Blad sounds awful, can't fault the images though.
Yes, but you have to remember, the shutter is in the bald lens which is dampened. But the Rollei does sound better. 😉
Which Hasselblad lens did you use?
I used every lens I had with me. 30, 45, 65 and 90.
@@toddkorolphoto I have the 21mm XCD 45P & 80mm XCD. For me the 21mm focuses fastest. Which of the four that you use focus fastest?
@@walkingmeditation61 I’d like to get the 21. Probably my 45 and 90.
@@toddkorolphoto thanks, yeah the 21mm focuses pretty fast by xcd standards
