The first band in Romania that combined folklore with rock music is called Pheonix, founded in 1962 in Timisoara. You can listen to the songs Mica tiganiada, Nunta, Fata verde or Andri Popa, of course with translation 😉. The instrument at the beginning is called tambal, it is originally from China, a stringed instrument
I've watched a lot of your videos and i absolutely love them. You seem like a person thirsty for knowledge and you not only react but take information from the videos. Also your voice should be used for audio books. Many thanks for creating this channel.
And one of the best singers of acordeon is Ionică Minune from România, a master of panflute is Gheorghe Zamfir & a master of cimbalom Nicolae Mărgineanu. See somethink beautiful. Master Gheorghe Zamfir sing with Andre Rieun - Lonely Sheperd❤❤❤
2 vids in one day, thank you so much for the hard work! MC Bean is the red head dude's nickname, the founder of the supergroup Subcarpați. His name's not Subcarpați. ț is like zz in pizza. Keep up the great work!
Subcarpați are grate❤. Please also listen an orchestra live :" Frații Advahov"/ Advahov Brothers with Andra - folk music , my fav live song from them : Andra & Advahov Brothers is "Mărioară de la Gorj " / Mary from Gorj❤❤❤
This combination isn't the most succsesfull in my opinion.. the iza group is the authentique romanian folklor and the guy who started dancing at the end also gives me good vibes. With all due respect, as a romanian (who no longer lives there) i don't know subcarpati, but after this i think they are talented musicians who should play another style of music. Thank you mr.giant for your alnalissis..i also thought his voice was a bit like the indian music invocations that i only saw and heard in movies or documentaries. When u said it, i remembered the group called Enigma who is also founded by a romanian
I love the build up of this artistical moment with the progression that let you hear every instrument one by one and feel the addition of every sound. Such a great act!

As a fellow Romanian no longer living in Romania, I have to respectfully disagree.

Oh, sh*t, I replied by mistake to someone who doesn't understand any of that.
