my girlfriend died last week in a traffic accident. she was 40 years old. this was one of her favorite songs. we played this on the funeral service. goose bumps ❤️❤️❤️
I used to listen to this song every night before going to sleep while I was studying abroad. After a day of hanging out with the most amazing people from all over the world, the words "it's sad to think, I guess neither one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye" hit really hard. Now that I am back home, this song brings me a lot of great memories. Walking through the streets of a little town called Ormskirk after a drunk karaoke night, staying up to see the sunrise and getting high with my new friends. This song will have a very special and lovely place in my heart forever.
You think the song is already kicking hard from the first moment and then more and more tracks are dropping making it go from thermo-nuclear to interstellar What a song
I love how even though it’s lyrics are sad, there’s something uplifting about this song. Like it’s not a “goodbye”more like a “see you later”. I love it.
Music helps me escape the daily pressures of money, school, and family. It takes me out of the constant distraction and focus of the future and lets me enjoy the moment, the present. Music has always been there for me
...obsessed with music since i was 8, better than any drug, $€x, woman, clobber, football, cars, holudays etc, the 1 constant in my life... I was 46 other day...
This comment is literally the first half of my 2022. Currently going thru the ending part of a bittersweet friendship and this song really plays well with this. I'm not sad but I did appreciate what happened. :')
This is what music is all about: Goose Bumps. This track hits me right in the Soul. Thank you so much for giving me such warm feelings when listening !
Reminds me of 90s French house and to me it takes me back to 2011/2012 chilling in the sun with friends and house on the boombox :) Also it makes me want hear more from Daft Punk...
When a song touches your soul it brings out emotions. When the sound is old it brings out nostalgia and if there's also a touch of French House, then it becomes magic ❤️
Best feeling is sitting on a lonely beach watching the sunset listening to this song as the waves touch your feet gentle while smoking a joint knowing that a great summer party night awaits!
I was a Holiday Rep for 4 years and they were the best years of my life. This song will always remind me of the long car drives watching the sunset making memories
First heard this song this year (February 2020) at a Moodymann Dj set in San Francisco. This song brought me to a whole new dimension and was a spiritual awakening of sorts. Thank you Moodymann for making my year with that set.
Heard this on the radio for the first time two months ago, had it rolling in my head without knowing what it was. I tried internet searches with the Gladys Knight lyrics(?) and still couldn’t find it. I then heard it in a club in Manchester, Shazammed it, and now I find out it’s five years old. 😂 What a great track though.
Haha this takes me right back. Reminds me of how much I love my older sister and her little cheeky lot. Back in the late 90s, she introduced me to all your Zero7s, Molokos, Cassius, Groove Armadas, Basement Jaxx when I was a 10 year old boy. Now, for the first time in my live, I gave her some good old 1999-ish house in return. 2 days later she sent me a video of herself dancing away to the tune with my three little nieces in their living room. 40 years of age but still has got the groove!
One if my 5 fav edm vids. And the tune got stuck in my brain since the day i it found the way there. Come to Lärz Mr.Kozalla, waiting to find you in the timetable since a while;-)
Takes me back to Trucadero Transfer, San Francisco. Bobby Viteritti would mix in the instrumental of Melba Moore's "Pick Me Up, I'll Dance" letting it build. When he dropped in the vocals Billy Langenheim would light the place up. Magic.
"I guess neither one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye" good shit man

Any music with soul has dual / multi effect. Totally normal, and 100% valid ❤🎉🎶
The "music sounds better with you" of this generation imo, and that's a HUGE compliment!!
Yep!!
Spot on!
Fuck! Dude, you just made me realise why the hell I love this track so much!
Reminds me of black legend, stardust, and moloko sing it back 💙
I instantly thought of Daft Punk 3 seconds into the track
Air to Earth.
J'adore ❤❤❤❤❤ cette chanson 👏👏👏👏👏👏 même le sample rien que de l'écouter trop bien 😍😍😍😍😍
Nothing like a good old fashioned disco loop that is catchy as fck.
You bet!😮
Love this! I am older than most here and this is beautifully orchestrated tune. Groovin' to the groove....
Mr Laurent Garnier played this masterpiece with full of emotions!🔊👆🙌
You think the song is already kicking hard from the first moment and then more and more tracks are dropping making it go from thermo-nuclear to interstellar
What a song
This is literally the true definition of house music! That soulful feeling 👏👌
Of French Touch*
Concur.
Sampling is the way
sampled from 2 R&B/disco records..Gladys Knight and The Pips "Neither one of us" and the track is Melba Moore's "Pick me up I'll dance"

So true!
I don't understand how I keep returning to this track. It's like a magical audio magnet that pulls me.

@@matthewgale5045 I feel the same way. 😊
Well said 👍
I just discovered. I can't stop replaying it. The melody is catchy 🔥🎶
Heartache, love, and everything in-between. Such a beautiful romance that never gets old. ❤️
This song is perfect to explain a great first date, or the sadness of a loving but not lasting relationship coming to an end 👌
Exactly Staci…you got the point 😉
This comment is literally the first half of my 2022. Currently going thru the ending part of a bittersweet friendship and this song really plays well with this.
I'm not sad but I did appreciate what happened. :')

Glayds Knight's vocals are always on point. Would love to hear this mix with the full song!

@@roasty80no, I'm pretty sure she only sings it in the live version. listen to the orginal sample and it is the exact same

Breaks my heart. Stunning. Mesmerising. 🤍🙏🏻🌼
I'm hearing "Music Sounds Better with You." (Twenty years later is a great time for French House to come back!)
paleodan I completely agree with you. Fist time I heard this track I went back 20 years ago with Music Sounds better with you..
I said this too!
You nailed my good man. Knew there was something in there that got me hooked. Bravo sir bravo.
I can't believe why everybody's going off about the track so much... it really sounds like an old dp bside...
yes deffo that feel but the production levels on this suck ass, altho i do like the track
his music always gives me the impression that there are so many good things in life to discover
This song was played as the stage was being setup for The Cure in Athens on July 17, 2019. Love it. Thanks Shazam!!
It's crazy I have discovered this one just tonight! Modern house classic for sure!
This makes me nostalgic about a place and time I never lived, if I make sense

Before corona 2020 lol
You just give me the vibe
You are my friend
Eso sería genial:)
I think we need to hang out.
holy shit this was made in 2018. i thought this was made in the late 90s or early 2000s. really captured that sound!
need more tracks like this revival of french hausesss
Yes indeed!!
Sorry to be pedantic, but this track has been doing the rounds for about 3 years, so it definitely wasn't made in 2018.
that's because it is literally a recording of a 90's record, remixed with a new vocal
Same! That is why I came here to double check.
A track so simple to make yet so emotional.
I was a Holiday Rep for 4 years and they were the best years of my life. This song will always remind me of the long car drives watching the sunset making memories
This song takes me back, 2018, good sunshine, pre corona, love it
😂 boys tryin to shazam the tune. haha i cant. koze is a genius
First heard this song this year (February 2020) at a Moodymann Dj set in San Francisco. This song brought me to a whole new dimension and was a spiritual awakening of sorts. Thank you Moodymann for making my year with that set.

This track is fire and on my gym playlist. Love Glady's voice...
WOW! I heard this 2 years ago in coachella and thought I'd never find it. So happy it's finally released, wasn't expecting this at all!
Sergio I was wondering the same thing. This song haunted my dreams for quite some time. It was a djs worst nightmare
transcendant...connexion cosmique
Authentic French Touch was made in 2018. Brilliant.
Hits hard, it makes me cry....
this, when you need it. ❤

sad euphoria at its best! really loved that energy from the very first moment on... eternity sounds like this!
So in love with this track, my heart hurts 💔
Amazing tune with this 2000’s vibe!
Melba Moore - Pick Me Up, I'll Dance + Gladys Knight & The Pips - Neither One Of Us. Amazing songs on their own.
And such great taste to perfectly combine these two:) Amazing track
I'm glad to own both albums for years which made me recognize and appreciate this version, which brings it all together.
Like a hidden gem from 20 years ago.

Bring back the disco !
2 years later and still a banger

It's got a daft-punky vibe to it, superb track.
And you’re right as they used samples from “Music Sounds Better with You” - Stardust / Daftpunk 😃
@@pronke01 actually he did not. The main loop youre hearing is from a song called "Pick me up I'll dance" and the vocals are Gladys Knight :)
