That truck adds a lot of character to your farm. I would come drive it for free...... Drove a CL9000 Ford with a 3406 Cat engine and straight exhaust for three years in the early eighties for a logging company. Didn't like it at first but got used to it. We had five trucks and it was sort of the flagship of the company. I kept it spotless. Sure miss them days. I was 24 back then. Hope to drive again someday before I can't anymore. Keep that little boy safe. So easy to get hurt doing that kind of stuff.
Your son did a good job running the camera. Great to see the kids working with you at such a young age. When I was his age I followed my Dad around the farm trying to help just like he does with you. Even though sometimes it takes a little longer having them tagging along you got to encourage them. Great videos
Great seeing 'the young man' helping....and some good commentary too! This is the kind of equipment I used in most of my nearly 5 decade career of contracting/construction. It was great hearing the engine brake again, nice and loud.....'wake up the neighborhood'. ....13
First time watching your videos, the bond you an your boy have is a special thing very strong. He reminds me of my boy 3 years old an happy to come to work all day. It's what kids need is role models 💪💪👍👍🇳🇿 new subscriber here
Nice video Andy and Jr. I owned two long hood 9's over the yr's amongst other KW's and loved them....on another note...if you spent 12 to 14 hrs a day in that unit with those stacks you would soon grow very weary of them.
@@FarmingFixingFabricating I was a youngster at one time as well, but if he had to live in that puppy and pound the pavement 6 days a week I know he would look at it in a different light. 😎 your video's are the top notch, I just can't figure out how you find the time ??
Dun Truckin I’ve learned how to turn the camera off and on at the right time makes editing a lot easier.Magnet mount cameras help a bunch as well.Tell people you know about the channel share these videos on Facebook etc.Get everybody to hit that Subscribe button.
@@FarmingFixingFabricating ya, I've put a couple of farm friends onto your channel, I hauled tanker milk up above the 49th for 8 yrs during last yrs of my trucking business and know a lot about your grind. 👍
That C-15 will pass everything but a gas station. Im glad to see grease on the fithwheel. Ive aeen and drove for a few farms that the trucks havent been greased since they left the factory. I enjoy your videos. Maybe someday ill learn how to make videos on the job
Some job!the young fella is showing great interest. No speed limiter ,electronic buffers or bull piss(adblue/emissions control)on that truck, good vid again!
Bub will be great help in a couple of years he could do it himself. I remember when at that age my dad had me put on rear tractor tires and complained I never got the bolts tight enough.
Nice video andy. Those tires def sing on the road. I follow dairy support services on fb and they're testing out one of those bazooka pump trucks at barbland dairy in fabius it looked pretty interesting. I'm guessing that pump truck is for dragline as they had some big hose hooked up to it.
I assume you have been using it to clear land with, along with the two rakes. What else do you use it for throughout the year to warrant such a big purchase! Also do you have a special guy to run it?
Love the sound of the KW. like the flotation tyres bet they wear on road work. I operated a Cat 349 in a local quarry for a while last year gr8 digger boring job. Ask your son to hold the camera a little bit steadier but i really liked his commentary. enjoyed 👍
I was wondering if highway miles were a little hard on the big tires. My Dad used to say about tractor tires that a day on the road was worse than a week in the field!
That's one mean sounding and looking truck!!! Love it... do you put a boot over the exhaust on the excavator? It can damage the turbo while hauling because the air going in the exhaust is turning the turbo backwards!
How many brothers are involved in the operation, are you the oldest? Looks like a beautiful day for a father and son project. Junior looks like he is taking after the old man. Great Job!
Andy you have equipment everywhere. I see you have your right arm with you today Andrew must be a pain in the neck moving that camera all around keep making videos Andy people need to see what hard life is about 👍🇺🇸 P S watch you and Sarah plant corn you almost done and for some reason the system went down I couldn't get back on happy birthday Sarah on Sunday 🎂🎈
We added a flow control valve to our wet kit cause we have 3 different flow rated equipment we run on our w900. Alot faster and easier than gas operated hydraulic units
That was fun. Your little man is a good helper and good with commentary as well. I noticed around my parts that more and more farmers are removing the hedgerows to gain more planting soil.... is that what the excavator was used for in this vid? Cheers and thanks as well.
Erated78 driveway widening, waterway maintained, we did have a small pointed hedge that was in the way. Some hedge rows wil we will leave alone and clear the crap brush and thin them out
Thanks as always for the great video just wondering if that's the Farm's excavator if it is just wondering what made you guys go with a cat instead of a deer I personally like the Volvo or CAT over a deer anyday thanks you and keep the milk flowing.
Joe Bendlak we started with a Cat and there were more used units available in the size range we were looking for.We would have considered a Deere had there been a used unit available.
Donald Ellett we move our own equipment mostly this excavator is ours and we have moved equipment for others. Put it this way we usually only haul out own but can and would haul for others.
David Smith they are aBKT radial flatiron tire that we run for getting around the fields. These tires I believe are 710/40 on 22.5 rim. We also run bias Alliance 331 which is a tractor type bar teas and those are 700/40 22.5.

Jay Kettlewell thanks
Morning Andy.
Love the sound of the truck! The tires I can do without. I am sure are great in the fields but man do they roar/sing on the road.
NoMerc good morning, yes indeed they are load. After awhile they get a harmonic howl to them that falls out of rhythm and becomes even more annoying.
Great seeing 'the young man' helping....and some good commentary too!

Great video Andy, loved watching Jr. helping you out. Reminds me of when I was a youngin helping my father on the farm. Always so much to learn!
Jim Wesselman it takes a little longer when you have a little kid hanging around but at the end of the day it’s nice to reflect back on the day.

Andrew Woodhead thanks, junior feels mighty important anytime he can help out
Like the video, jr did a great job with explaining, he's the most talkative of the kids on camera so far. 👍
Steve Horan that's for sure, my other kids clam up a little
Got to like the sound of the jake brake and the Tires thanks for the ride along
Andrew thanks for the road trip 🤠 i'm always ready for a ride in a big rig love the scenery take care my friend👍🏻🇺🇸🐝

You got a good helper there. Gonna be a great asset when he gets a little bigger! 👍
Patrick Brink thanks, I can only hope that this is something he wants to do when he gets older
Bub will be great help in a couple of years he could do it himself. I remember when at that age my dad had me put on rear tractor tires and complained I never got the bolts tight enough.
W9 got a good bark to it!
My pete has 8 inch stacks with drop in mufflers they say but when she is hooked up to 8axles ya cant hear nothing
You are lucky to have such a great helper he did a great job with the camera and commentary he doesn’t clam up like his sister does LOL
David Schmidt he is right at the age yet where nothing matters. I'm working on his sister to talk more she'll come around.

Just wondering do you float or do you use the clutch when shifting the trucks?
I assume you have been using it to clear land with, along with the two rakes. What else do you use it for throughout the year to warrant such a big purchase! Also do you have a special guy to run it?
Alex waterway maintenance, driveway maintenance, some land clearing my father runs it exclusively
Love the sound of the KW. like the flotation tyres bet they wear on road work. I operated a Cat 349 in a local quarry for a while last year gr8 digger boring job. Ask your son to hold the camera a little bit steadier but i really liked his commentary. enjoyed 👍
Great video Andy
Thanks for the video and jr. Thanks for the commentary while you were running the camera it's much nicer than silence!😊
Farm boy0629 I'll tell him, thanks for the comment
I was wondering if highway miles were a little hard on the big tires. My Dad used to say about tractor tires that a day on the road was worse than a week in the field!
Rodney Erdmann defiantly the road is hard on them, warm days you can smell the rubba
That's one mean sounding and looking truck!!! Love it... do you put a boot over the exhaust on the excavator? It can damage the turbo while hauling because the air going in the exhaust is turning the turbo backwards!
I really enjoy your videos Andy keep up the great content.
stephen krukowski thanks
Got the 2IC on the job with you today! Couple more years and he'll be loading and chaining it down for ya 😂
How many brothers are involved in the operation, are you the oldest? Looks like a beautiful day for a father and son project. Junior looks like he is taking after the old man. Great Job!
Brian Grant I have 2 brothers (partners) and I’m the oldest
How many time's did you stop and move the camera around? Lol

Good job Jr!☺
That truck sound so good
That what's makes it fun to drive with loud pipes
Nice truck there 10-4!
Now THATS what I call a super single lmaooo...
Those tires are awesome, lol.
What are your load limits around Lafayette Andy, must not be any weak bridges around there for special permits?
That’s not heavy
That's a good lookin w900. Looks a little funny with them tires on the back tho lol. you dint keep them on all the time do you?
KENWORTH 1988 Thanks,we only use them for silage season,we pull a 46’ belt trailer with it
Looks at the rear shoes on that kW dammm

What tires are those on the tractor? Like super singles?
Floatation tires
Andy where can I get one one those hats that u are wearing
John Hatt we working on that now. We have to figure out the payment and ordering process for you guys.
Was that your farm on the news . It's amazing how people think the milks just gonna magically appear in the bottle. Keep the milk coming
I see that it's over to John's farm in Eldridge. I don't see it was town of mentz . I heard just a name.
Tim Mattison no ,it’s not our turn to be under the spot light ......yet
Do you transport machinery also besides farming
Donald Ellett we move our own equipment mostly this excavator is ours and we have moved equipment for others. Put it this way we usually only haul out own but can and would haul for others.
Good job little Andrew! If you keep running the camera and commenting about what you're filming, Dad won't have anything to do anymore!!!
Rodney Erdmann he just telling it how he sees it
those flotation tires sure do howl Truck sounds greaat
With those wheels on that tractor there’s no getting stuck
A great future farmer in the making and an up and coming You Tuber !!!! Curious as to what size tires you are running on the drive axles?
David Smith they are aBKT radial flatiron tire that we run for getting around the fields. These tires I believe are 710/40 on 22.5 rim. We also run bias Alliance 331 which is a tractor type bar teas and those are 700/40 22.5.
I don't think that Jake brake is "CARB" approved ..💪💪. 😎
road noise with those tires
Sinless Gaming they are probably the loudest of the floatation tires that we have
What did Jr throw out the window at 9.35ish
Nice video but you have to keep the camera still. Too much shaking!
