Glenn Healy, played 15 seasons
Ken how many seasons did you play in the show, Kenny?
Ray Finkle so u have to be an michelin star cook if u want to critisise food right?
Ismo Laitela depends. Are you paying for the food or giving a review on the internet?
LACES OUT!!
@@tommclarty17 What happened to your career there Finkle??
Would be funny if the only thing a player who wore 69 would say is "Nice".
that is what i was thinking lol
Doug Glatt
"Because it's hilarious"
Ask Andrew Desjardins
I watched an older documentry on Gretzky and on the one I watched he mentioned nothing of this! He said he wore it because of his idol Gordie Howe who already had 9... So this is the second story of the number.
Yeah I remember him saying that as well. To be honest I can imagine both stories being true at the same time so I'm not going to argue.
Ya. He wanted to wear #9 but someone on the team already had it (as he says in the vid) so eventually he lands on #99
He usually wore number 9 because of Howe but it was already taken in Sault Ste. Marie. The rest was like he explained in the video
Please make more of these videos!
Brodeur, Jagr, Orr, Chara, Borque
Jagr's number had something to do with a1968 being a significant date for Czeck nation. "The Dubcek government ended censorship in early 1968, and the acquisition of this freedom resulted in a public expression of broad-based support for reform and a public sphere in which government and party policies could be debated openly. In April, the Czech Government issued a formal plan for further reforms, although it tried to liberalize within the existing framework... " wikipedia
@@dylan4300 Most consider him a legend. I mean, he's no GLENN HEALY, but a legend none the less.
@@NESADDICT its 50/50 I think it is because of commies ocupating us (im Czech) OR it was Also year his gramdpa died but im not 100% sure which one is it
@@dylan4300 I mean.. he's a 6 foot 9, cup winning, captain, Norris Trophy winning, future Hall of Fame defenseman..
Even though he's not Bobby Orr..that kinda puts him in the legend category.
You have to do Eddie Belfour. He could give you stories about multiple numbers wore!
Healy is a legend? 😐
@Squilliam Tate legendary wanker
He stole a dynasty from the pens though
Wow, I learned about a true legend today...
...thanks Glenn!
Wayne’s story is my favourite
Next let's get Orr, chara, bourque, yzerman
Bourque originally wore 7, but they retired Esposito’s number while Bourque had it, so at the retirement ceremony, Bourque unveiled his new 77 number. Pretty cool.
I know Yzerman wore #19 because Trottier was his idol as a kid or something
Eserman
Love these vids
Yikes... Bryan Trottier.
"#19 was worn the year before by a 6'6" huge guy named Dave Cameron"
...it was actually worn by 6'0" tall Craig Cameron.
haha
And Dave Cameron was also only 6’0” tall lol. Never played a regular season game with the Islanders despite being drafted by them in the 8th round
I was hoping one of them would just go “what do you got?” “Well, we have 1...” “perfect, gimme that”
8,9,10. Selanne, Kariya, Bure.
UFC nailed youtube, I hope sportsnet and tsn do the same for hockey.
My numbers were #9 as a kid cause of Bucyk, Hull, Howe , & Richard , and I switch to #19 cause of Sakic, Yzerman, Robinson, Trottier, Ratelle,
94 for me two of my favorite players 9 for gretzkey and 4 for orr

You guys should do jagr, hull, Crosby, Iginla
Natalie . S Isn’t Crosby’s just the year he was born? 1987
@@ConnorCTG august 7 1987. was his birthday so 8/7/87
@@ConnorCTG I know that but some people dont
And his cap hit is 8.7
lol I'm so early that there is no dislikes
Do the great 8!
The Oilers used to have such an excellent jersey.
Glenn Healy looks like Charlie Sheen
he looks more like Emiliooooooooo!
Fun fact: Yzerman and Sakic both wore 19 because of Bryan Trottier.
Glenn Healy is a legend?
he was in the 1993 NHL playoffs...
Everybody on here hurting old Glenn Healey's feelings! C'mon now, give the guy a break. Lol
"Grumpy Old man" lol Gretz's coach was like 39 - hardly an old man!
when youre in your teens, anyone over 30 is practically ancient :D
Still no jagr?
He wears 68 because of the Prague Spring uprising which took place in 1968.
He must be too busy still playing, or just to far away in the Czech Republic for the interview.
Jagr is Easy! He said it was "because the Soviets invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968". It was because their freedom was taken away.
How bout we go back in time and get howe and sawchuk
they're dead
In those days guys picked the lowest numbers possible. Something to do with the guys having the lowest numbers got their bags off of the bus first I believe. It became tradition, and high numbers were looked at as showboaters.
Howe started out wearing 17. He found out he could get a better sleeping space (bunk) on the trains with a lower number. That's it! I think it's hilarious.
Im 21 because im lthe 2nd coming of peter forsberg
lets keep 99 likes

PineappleBootKamp, we was a starter for many years.
@@bigsteed007 he played more than 40 games four times. That's not saying much. He couldn't hold down any job
Part 2 features Wayne Gretzky, Bryan Trottier, Paul Coffey and More!......Glenn Healy 😑
