I agree especially if they are standing for the Israeli hostages and all the Jewish students that beat on and harassed during their free Palestine (from Hamas control I am assuming) movement. Or the property damage that was done during their free speech movement. All in the name of peaceful demonstration

I wonder how many of these people will choose to use their degree to continue a social justice campaign in support of all victims of something? It would be interesting to revisit these people five years from now to see if they themselves, fell victim to evil capitalism: Living in a nice high-rise apartment in NY, pulling in a 6-figure salary, driving a BMW or Audi, renting an Air B&B in the Hamptons with their friends, etc. etc. Then ask them if they'd be willing to give it all away to help support Palestinians.

I was there today. These kids are rude. They where chanting so loud that we could not hear the speeches. Sent our daughter there for 6 yrs and she deserves to enjoy this ceremony. You really care so much in your cause how come none of you have booked flights to Gaza.
NO ONE CAN ENTER. A lot of us would be on the next flight there if it was even possible. That is such an ignorant statement that so many of the uninformed make.
Your daughter isn't the only student there. And if it was such a nuisance then you had a choice. Get up and leave or sit there and hush. Your daughter was there for 6 years according to you. Protest or not it's time for her to get the hell on with life. Be happy and proud of that. And STFU

You know doggone well that long before you stepped on those grounds for the ceremony you had already decided that those kids didn't belong there protesting. And you probably don't believe that they should be enrolled in the school as students at all. Your mind was already made up buddy. And you know it. So stop it.
so this is pure egoism and narcism because world is not turning around your daugthers graduation ceremony, your daughter will be fine living her live. But the daughters of Palestenians are dying, getting beheaded. They are 15000 kids that are killed there, they will never have chance to even go to school. And yes people who is trying to talk about them is getting punished and yes all normal HUMAN being will protest this injustice, people like you hopefully one day will understand.

Hamas committed horrific crimes against innocent people including harming innocent children and they should be held responsible. The US government has enabled horrific crimes against humanity, including harming innocent children, by the Israeli government and the IDF. Hamas and the government of Israel should both be held accountable in the International courts. I support the student protesters and do not want my tax dollars going to military support for Israel.

The high pressure tactics against the student protestors to make them comply is a big mistake. These are the cream of the crop, and they are exercising their freedom of speech..shouldbn't we expect our youths to have a sense of moral rightousness; compassion; and empathy? Higher pressure will only be met with higher rebound... no difference then the situation in Gaza.
If they are supporting Palestine then they have no morals. Palestine is Hamas, there is no difference.
Cream of the crop? What crop, cannabis? Students with degrees from community college would be a better hire and have more value to any organization.
They all need to go to Gaza to provide humanitarian aid for the cause. It's easy to protest and make demands when you're safe and have a full belly, a place to live, and a Starbucks latte in your hands.
It's another thing to be part of the movement, put into practice your beliefs, and help those who you support from the safety of half a world away. Their "moral righteousness, compassion and empathy"
could be proven if they actually volunteered to help in Gaza, and not just protest here.
Hamas would excuse most of these kids on sight, because of their Western Beliefs our culture and government protects. Hamas is a Muslim Brotherhood sect, of conservative Islam. NONE of the rights possessed by any of these students exists there. And the LGBTQI would become targets and all the women 3rd class citizens.
No difference between here and Gaza? You have absolutely no idea how lucky you are to live in a western society. People hating the US, distrusting the government while taking full advantage of their freedoms all while trusting a extremist organization/government that hates gays, women, anyone different. Totally make sense.
Also, this isn’t about freedom of speech. This is about how violent and hateful the “peaceful protests” were. Jewish students stopped coming to class because they were harassed and afraid.
