I am looking for a pair of hand guards, something that protects from the wind. i have heated grips but in Sweden the temp falls and removing the wind is a must. anything you have come across that does not cost a fortune?
Ahh yeah I've considered handguards too but they all seem a bit expensive, especially the Puig ones. I've got winter gloves for now and heated grips that seem to do the trick. But I imagine it might be more necessary for the winters in Sweden!
The problem with this mount is that you will have a huge gap on the lower part of the visor compared to the stock or other modified side mirror brackets.
@@tapecknows just installed this kind of bracket on my xmax and its kinda weird to have that huge gap. I think i have to cut and weld that lower leg to fix that 2 inch gap. 😩

Appreciate the comment Christopher! I definitely agree that the shocks are pretty stiff! There are a couple gas shocks that Racing Bros and Öhlins make but they’re quite expensive. You also have spring options like YSS but I haven’t tried them personally.
Thanks, Tapec. I read where one guy adjusted his stock rear shocks up one position from the softest (5 to 4, or 1 to 2 depending upon how you look at it). I tried it and, believe it or not, - - - it made a big difference! It's much better. You wouldn't think it would be, going harder, but it works!
I find it much better for filtering. The height puts them above car mirrors and most vans. So it’s easier to judge if the mirrors will go through. I think they are just slightly wider than stock
Too many bolts, and the inermediate plate/ adapter shows it is not meant to the specific bike. I would prefer a mount with threaded holes to fit the bike original mirrors, just like they're fitted on the handlebars.

@@tapecknows you should do a heated grips installation video. Your "how to" videos are quite good.

Yeah it makes the gap larger but it hasn’t caused any problems for me
