I find that Mike Lull figured a way to make the P and J bass characteristics more pronounced and forward in a pleasing way. The P bass has just a bit more of that lovely mid honk and his J basses have that extra bite. Amazing instruments!
Thanks, but I should really actually listen to the record and learn it instead of faking it like this. Kind of embarrassing really, but I thought it showed the tone of the bass nicely, even though it's not the same tone as the record. Was the original played on a Kubicki?

@@JohnFoxBass I believe he played an Aria back then. The Ex Factor only came a few years later.
