As a Canadian, Dusty and the Richmond dynasty got me into this sport as more than just something id watch / bet on if i was up drunk at 2 am when its on here lol They were a special club to watch, and im not sure where Dusty actually ranks on any all time list being a new viewer, but hes certainly the best/most game changing guy ive personally seen
@@rogerphillipo1583He was the greatest big time player of all time. He didn’t just star in the 3 grand final wins, he dominated in nearly all of the other finals as well. Without him we don’t win the 3 flags.
I’m an Aussie in Canada watching the NHL playoffs atm! They say the cream rises to the top when it matters most. Dusty is certainly the perfect example of that. When the stakes and pressure are high he turns up and wills his team over the line. Winning three Norm Smith’s is unbelievable and likely not to be repeated for a very long time, if ever. Lance Franklin is the other player who could match or even outstrip Dusty as a game changer, but he doesn’t have the record Dusty has in big games.
For idk 6 years or so he was basically omne of if not the best player ever. He was such a star and could genuinely turn a loss into a win by the momentum he brought to the team. Unfortunatley he couldn't maintain that S tier level like MJ or Lebron have been able to for manhy more years. He's still a pretty solid player and all, better than most still, but just not on that GOAT level anymore. I think a combination of motivation, injuries, aging and changes in teammates have all been a part of his quiet period over the last few years
What planet is Lloydy on. Richmond will have 3 picks in the top 30 and 6 picks in the top 48. That's sensational, though will slide a bit due to academy players. The Eagles for example will have 3 picks in the top 60.
The issue with that this season is that apparently it’s a decent draft in the top 20 but very flat with talent and not much after pick 25-30. Unlike last years there’s not as much clear standout talent at the top of the draft so the Tigers should try and split pick one or trade up with lower picks to try and get more picks in the top 20, or future first rounders.
@@jsequine927 a few diamonds then. they reckon WA players are a bit underdone with preparation due to the colts system no doubt. but obviously a good recruiter would see through that.
Eddie again brings up collingwood for literally no reason. They are talking in general and he goes on about players looking good in a collingwood or melbourne jumper. I didn't used to notice but he does it all the time now
Those 2022 trades have put Richmond in a dire situation where this is no good option going forward. They just have to be patient now and hope they nail everything moving forward.
What, one draft? Taranto and hopper if fit could be keeping us competitive rather than what we saw against the dogs. You don’t get into a dire situation from one draft. We have lots of picks this year so I think if we had a healthy list we would actually be looking okay
@@nickksimoTaranto and Hopper are too one paced Vlastuin, Grimes, Prestia, Martin, Broad, Lynch, McIntosh and Pickett are all aging players and some of which are injury prone and Richmond are deprived of high end draft picks
Dimma ended the Tigers dynasty when he traded in Mrs Hardwick for a younger model in 2021. Then last year he did the same thing to the club.
THE Eddie Show. One long monologue interrupted by sock puppets when Eddie allows them too.
Eddie McGuire is the only person in the afl media worth listening to. You want to hear from jimmy bartel instead? Lmao.
@@eckhart9467 Jimmy Bartel is actually a quality pundit, as is lloydy.
You're right. This show should be renamed The Eddie Show since he speaks 75% of the time!
Is there any discussion McGuire is involved in where he doesn't insert Collingwood into the conversation? It's ridiculous

Youve gotta feel for hopper and taranto being sold the idea of success and being relegated to the bottom of the ladder

For Dusty to win 3 Norm Smith medals for 3 flags is a feat that will probably never be repeated so it makes him one of the greatest players ever.

He’ll be an AFL legend one day. That’s how good he is.

Dusty is cooked ...well past his prime ...retire and save yourself the embarrassment
I was thinking which club would be keen to take him. He isn't half the player he was only two years ago.
So are you seriously saying be like north and trade out everyone you can ? Yeah great idea …
6:13- Lloyd literally says you don't want to be like North Melbourne and get rid of all your senior players.
Barrett doesn't like it when people go against his idea , Barrett gets it wrong so often .
he's that little turd at school that wanted to be everyone's mate but they all just ignored him
Richmond should let the speculated trades happen, let them walk, open up their salary cap, load up on picks and bring some high end kids in

I wonder if Yze and his team sit down every week, watch this show and take notes?
Hahahaha Lloydy get your facts straight Richmond built their premierships dynasty through the GWS and Gold Coast compromised drafts
Surprise, surprise: Eddie wants Tom Lynch at Collingwood.
He's hopeless...no club would take him...he's too injury prone.
Eddie wanted lynch at Collingwood when he left the suns too if you recall mate 😂
Everything on this show has to be somehow referenced back to Collingwood.

Stars? Overpaid and players more interested in counting their money then playing for the club
