So, uh- i started this while i was watching Luzu's stream basically but then exam week happened and i just got to finish it. I don't really like how it turned out but I enjoyed the process of making it qwq.
Anyway, I really really liked this stream, I almoSt cried and- I love Arin :). I haven't fully decided on a design/way to draw Foolish and Bad Boy Halo but I'll work on it! I might make some more QSMP animatics or post some stuff on social media- or maybe I'll disappear for the next few months who knows lmao
Luzu is such a good actor... That or the eggs really did a number on him 😭
In fact he was nominated to the Esland for the best roleplayer the last year

He usually in his roles its very overprotective with his kids, probably bc in real life he actually has a son plus he its really good at roleplaying and its usually the one that takes everything seriously

What the heck ur so underrated???? This is honestly so cool, I love how u showed Luzu's rising panic and his memories of his egg, and the 1s and 0s in his eyes. I'm still trying to figure out all the lore for Qsmp, but this has definitely made me more interested in it. Also I'm OBSESSED with ur art style, its so unique and nice to look at!

Honestly, Luzu deserves a chance to be happy. He looks and sounds so hopeful at the beginning then so crushed later....
According to quackity, Wilbur and him are partners and possibly Luzu? Idk. Bbh is a single parent too but so far it seems like Tilin just has 3 parents.

Basically Quackity looked at the list of people who weren't there in a while and said "It has to be this guy".

Luzu probably felt so bad for desecrating his daughter’s grave before feeling the turmoil of not being able to be there for her and the rage that Slime killed his kid all within moments of each other.

That's part of Luzu's lore! Due to some still unkown reasons, an AI (Arin) sometimes takes over his body. In this case, it was caused by Luzu's shock. Arin and Luzu don't share memories. Also, ty!

It's really interesting, actually- the code atacked a bit after Arin first appeared and tried to attack him along with other smaller glitch-like monsters, and Arin said "they're coming for me, they know I shouldn't be here". He also wanted to revive the eggs- right before he disappeared he told Foolish and BBH that he could see the code behing the eggs existance and that he'd look into the "crack between worlds" to bring Tilin back. He is now absent from the series due to irl reasons (he is really busy preparing for an event, La Velada, and his usual streaming schedule didn't match most of the other members at the time), and it hasn't been confirmed if he'll return or not

Finally.
FINALLY!
An animatic with QSMP!Luzu lore.
I've been waiting for this since the day that stream happened because the entire friggin lore on that day was so tense, it was such a 180 from wholesome egg content.
Seeing Luzu enter the server you immediately had that sinking feeling because you just knew what was gonna go down.
And Foolish, in typical Foolish "I somehow missed recent story-changing developments :)" fashion, happily tells Luzu that he had a child without knowing that Tilín had died the day before.
Even when Bad tells Foolish about it, the two of them are holding onto their joyful facade, not having the heart to tell Luzu who seemed so excited about meeting Tilín (which in itself is already heartwrenching to think about because Tilín would have met their other parent if they had seen another day).
And then, the scene at Tilín's grave...
Luzu acted that out so well.
At first, he reacted with disbelief, denial...
But then, realization struck.
You can hear the anger rising in his voice and someone, it turns from loud to quiet... until it's an almost calculated rage, questions so calm that his tone might veil his violent intentions, but his mind is screaming.
You capture Luzu's expression well, the moment his mind breaks down because the shock and emotions are too much for him, his voice starting to subtly break when his thoughts and feelings are beginning to overwhelm him.
You can tell from the way he speaks that he is close to tears and the way you draw him shows it, his eyes reflecting the panic and desperation and hurt rising inside of him...
Until his mind can't take it anymore.
And then, while Luzu's head shuts down, Arin opens his eyes for the first time in over a week.
I quite like how you gave him blue eyes, a homage to who Luzu once was - a kinder him that was lost in the past when his heart broke.
And it's interesting how you imagine the expression on Arin's face - he's smiling, a direct juxtaposition of Luzu's rage and desperation but...
Something is off about it.
It feels almost eerie looking at him.
I've always envisioned Arin as a shy, childlike version of Luzu that carefully peeks at other people behind his bangs, so unfamiliar with the world and with having a physical body that he's hesitant, scared, even, to interact with his surroundings but your interpretation might make just as much sense, given all the things he knows about their reality.
Who is this boy to speak of the code, the fabrics of their reality and claim that he can alter them?
And how in the Minecraft world did Luzu allegedly invent such a powerful being?
There's this purity about Arin that makes one think that he's perfectly earnest, too innocent to tell a lie and yet...
Something doesn't add up.
I hope that we get to explore and maybe even reveal Luzu's and Arin's secrets in the future...
This is a beautiful animatic capturing a beautiful, but very sad scene...
And I thank you for making it and shining a light on Luzu's and, I suppose, Arin's part (honestly, we need more animatic content about him)in the story.
Luzu might not be on the server often but when he is, his storytelling is fantastic and deserves the spotlight.
First of all, thank you for taking the time to write such a complete analysis. I don't think I can say much, you explained it perfectly! Also, I don't trust my scuffed english to be able to answer properly, but I'll give it my best, sorry AAAAA;;.
The amount of emotions in that stream was insane, feeling so much tension until Luzu's in front of the grave and your heart fully sinks and then everything gets even more intense. Before the egg event Luzu acted pretty normally (not considering Arin) and in such a happy way, but now I wonder what will happen when he gets back. I was thinking about how he sort of mirrors Wilbur- both being gone for a bit, coming back to finding out they're parents, one being excited and the other not so much, one getting a grave and the other getting a daughter. It's insane how much the eggs have affected everyone in the server.
Also, Arin! I fully agree with seeing him as a shy, child-like version of Luzu, while at the same time having a bit of an eerie vibe and having knowledge about way more than what we expect. I'm really looking forward to see how Arin's lore continues to develop, find out where he comes from and Luzu learning that Arin exists, even!

En serio, no te preocupes, el QSMP es un servidor multilingüe, por eso hay muchas interacciones entre las comunidades - vamos a aprender hablar mejor la otra lengua (o las otras lenguas (plural) porque ahora tenemos streamers que hablan el portugués también).
Ni el inglés ni el español es mi lengua materna pero ver contenido (por ejemplo, del Minecraft) en esos idiomas seriamente puede ayudar.
And now in English, because my Spanish is okay-ish but by far not as good as my English: I 100% agree with you on there being parallels between Luzu and Wilbur.
Both of them were rumored to be Quackity's partners, and as you said, both did leave for a long time, just to be met with the proposition of parenthood - if Wilbur had been partnered with Quackity, their fates would be reversed, leaving Luzu with a daughter and Wilbur with nothing but the feeling of dread.
But interestingly, I can imagine Wilbur reacting in a somewhat similar way to Luzu, too.
I just recently had the pleasure of having someone in a comment chain explain Luzu Karmaland lore to me and correct me if I am wrong but...
Luzu's and Wilbur's stories bear quite a number of similarities, don't they?
Both were charismatic political leaders in a different life, ambitious and stubborn enough to lose themselves in a chase for power, or well, rather the upper hand, after feeling betrayed in one way or another - bitterness took a hold of both of them.
And interestingly, both were clashing with Quackity, who, of course, held his ideals high and called them out on unfair political practices which ultimately resulted in a heated (somewhat romantically charged yet destructive) rivalry in both cases.
Apart from the observation that, apparently, Quackity's characters have a type (specifically brown-haired, confident, strong-willed, politically involved men that he looks up to), I think it is notable that Luzu and Wilbur went down similar paths despite there being no connection between their characters at all...
One might say they are birds of a feather, in a sense.
I am looking forward to the day we can see Wilbur and Luzu interact with each other in lore because I can only imagine the interesting dynamics which might arise from their sheer will and conviction to do the things they deem right - and that hidden part of them that has the tendency to ignore other people's feelings (and potentially well-being) in the process.
Add Quackity to the mix and you have a set-up for very, very interesting situations.
Although, really, it was nice and refreshing to see the three interact fairly peacefully with each other, I kinda want it to stay that way for a while...
Either way, all three of them are extraordinarily good at what they're doing, so I am sure that no matter how it plays out, it's gonna be great!
I am also looking forward to seeing your art when we get new Luzu/Arin lore - Luzu really started doing lore super early and when he did, I was so happy that QSMP would have mysteries to unravel (I am a lore enthusiast, you know).
I just love Arin as a character and I was waiting really long for someone to include him in an animatic because everything about his existence is intriguing (and he was one of the reasons why I followed the QSMP more closely because again, I love good lore).
I think I have explained Arin lore to curious chatters multiple times and I think that the English-speaking community is gonna take interest in him should Luzu decide to feature him more heavily - after all, they love their innocent, pure, childlike beings with a more sinister side to them...
At least they did when it came to Ghostbur (and DSMP!Slime, interestingly).
The parallels between Luzu's and Wilbur's characters don't seem to stop, huh?

I hadn't thought about that, but I wonder how things would've gone if their places had been switched. Even without being as excited about being a parent as Luzu, I can also imagine a similar reaction to Tilín's grave.
Yes! I sadly don't know the complete Karmaland lore (wasn't able to watch K5),
but from K4 lore and the bits and pieces I know of K5, they are quite similar, both in character and their relationship with Quackity.
Same! It's really sad that until now most of the time one is absent when the other is around and so on (and now Luzu is considering leaving the Qsmp- so if that ends up happening then goodbye potential interactions;;), but I'd love to see them interact with each other and Quackity. I really hope we get to see that.
