I would love to hear a straight acoustic bluegrass version of this. I still like this cover though. The banjo and fiddle are good on this cover. Dierks Bentley does a great job on the vocals, even though he changed up the lyrics a little bit.
Love Dierks. but the guitarist, who was “back up singer” / basically lead singer during the harder parts, deserves SO much credit! They sounded awesome together
Those of you commenting on which version you like better, stop and remember that Dierks chose to do this song because he obviously appreciated it enough to put his own country twist on it. Check out Igor Presnyakov, his version of this song is absolutely stunning as well.

Its so sad that when such a talented amazing and PROFESSIONAL artist such as Dierks Bentley with the technology we have today, cant even do a good enough cover as some of the amateur artists do in the comfort of their own homes
Josh Gabbard I think you don’t realize how hard it is to calibrate audio for stage performances. It’s a totally different ballgame when you are setting up speakers to play at 100+ dB vs filming a video of yourself singing. Of course it’s going to sound better on the camera at home- the cameras mic is directly picking up your voice, not 100 dB of music coming through speakers
It is so great to hear Dierks keeping up his amazing performances. He make life more enjoyable.
