It seems Indian classical dance is the oldest dance form. Other dances trace their path back to this form. Southeast Asia is obvious but I’m thinking of things like from Flamenco to Celtic dance. The dances evolved as more and more songs were forgotten.
The father of the Enlightenment (of Europe), Francois Voltaire, stated that 'everything has come down from the Ganges' (i.e. India). Not a coincidence eh?
@@mahavakyas002 actually don't know much of Celtic culture, but Flamenco was very influenced and originated from the Romani community in Spain, who came frm India in the 11th century to Europe and the Middle East.
Oldest dance form is this one... bharatanatyam which has a history of some 2500 yrs.

Harinie has two things I appreciate about my favorite dancers: symmetry and the ability to keep her core very still, even when executing dramatic moves.

Thank you so much for this experience! I truly wish more westerners would explore these traditional dances now that they are so easily available on YT; I think India’s classical dance genres the most beautiful of traditional forms in the world.

We are watching this performance over and over. Harinie's abhinayam has no parallels. Especially at time 2:38 when she portrays the overwhelming Bliss, she lives it 🙏🙏🙏 The combination of Guru Smt. Sheela and Sishya Harinie is a boon for the rest of us! There is no less respect nor less admiration for other SDN dancers' dedication and performance 🙏🙏🙏. But sometimes Harinie becomes one with the Natyam - or at least it appears to be so for us, the uninitiated 😅😅💖💖. The perfectly color matched dance attire is adding to the glow and narration of the Kavuththuvam.

I do not go into the musical aspects and the Baradham Intricacies because this presentation is not a Critic's Page or Stage.
They are irrelevant when Good things happen!
Pointed criticism damages the true euphoria that swells up deep inside, upon seeing immaculate dance, impeccable Bhaavam, captivating performance and the true dedication and Love of the Narththagi, in expressing the Song she absorbed, to convey to the audience so precisely.
It is all right to point out major flaws or excessive Abhiinaya Bhaavam not called upon by the song.
So, for the immense Saadhagam Ms.Harinie Jeevidhaa and You pour into each presentation, going into the construction syllable by syllable or swaram by swaram is unnecessary.
I love perfection to the core of the nucleus of everything I and those I respect do.
Therefore if things click into place PERFECTLY like Ms.Harinie's Bharadham abhinayam, then there is no room for criticism.

This is an article length comment. Please go thru in your leisure and absorb what I mean.
One thing.
It takes some five to ten repetitions of each dance video I take to savor, for me to come out of the trance spelled by good Nardhdhanam. And to go into Kuralisai, Pakka Vaadhyam, Aranga Nirmaanam, Video Quality, Audio Quality and the like, it takes time.
Even if there are some oversteps, missed jathis, wrong Nayana Bhaavam or Muga Bhaavam, wrong Abhinayams by misunderstanding the song words and poor recordings, I sweep them aside. These, of course, the Nardhdhagi herself and her Guru are all aware of, I let them do the correction later on repetitions!!
I am aN open and pointed Critic of all sorts, from farming to education to politics to technology, to language to samaiyal, to Dance to Music ----------------- (!!), NEVER compromise perfection for ANYTHING..
But for the Great Resurrection of Traditional Bharadham and Karnatic Music, by Star Gems like Ms.Harinie and Ace Gurus like You, I won't, take into notice any flaws.
For the sake of keeping Gem Stars like Ms.Harinie, Ms.Bairavi,Ms.Sanjanaa and others, always alive, I and other like myself, will encourage these dedicated Kalaignargall, on all positive and correct aspects alone. Right?
You know, why I write such long comments instead of jotting down, "Super!" or "Fantastic" or such one word postings?
One is to pull in others into discussions. And the other is to highlight the POSITIVE ASPECTS OF EACH PRESENTATION for all others to take note of them only!!
So as to pool Positive Energy towards the Nardhdhagi for the sake of Prapanja Shakthi to concentrate on us.
And all around us!!
Because, Bharadham is the Prapanja Nardhdhanam by Nadaththarasan, the Prapanja Naayagan!!
These thoughts swelled up upon seeing the entry of Ms.Hariniie on the Arangam and following her all thru the Raamavadhaara Kavuththuvam!!

Please read about the mythical "Saadhagap Paravai" or "Saadhavaaganap Patchi" that lived and thrived on consuming Pure Music Notes !!
Make it listen or view to the current "Cine Noisic" and "Cien Crippled Traditional" Song (Do they really Sing?) or Dance (Do they really Dance??) and imagine it's torturous agony and its hunger for The Real Food!!

I am viewing this only now. May be due to the fact that new creations from Sree Dhevi Nrudhyaalayaa absorb all of my time!!
Harinie is in her most glittering and sparkling mood while presenting this, I see all thru her face.
I find her transition from one Abhiyanam to the next is so crisp and very extremely determined and precise to the exact position of the whole body (may be due to extensive practive (Asura Saadhagam!)!!
If I measure the frames the transitions images seems to be exactly like two separate sculptures with the transitions during the change invisible to the eyes!! Remarkable!!
Even though I don't dance.
Great, (as far as my stiff limbs designed for farm works, I am not fit to do so!) Jeevidhaa would not have grown into such a star if I do dance!!!). Very few contemporary dancers stun my attention so much as she does always.
Every one of her presentations are done as if they were sculpted to be so!! A Born Creative Desiciger!!
As I said earlier, she is few milliseconds faster than others in depicting the Abhinayams. But, I don't know how, that she co-ordinates that into all others in the group so that she is NOT VISIBLE BEING FASTER!

I had a practice of chanting Shri Ram Raksha Strotra daily.
However once a thought came to me “I can only do some general chanting like take Raam Naam etc.I need not chant Shri Ram Raksha Strotra specifically”
Hence I discontinued it.
After a month I got a dream in which I was chanting Shri Ram Raksha Strotra with a relative sitting besides me.
In the dream I was chanting Shri Ram Raksha Stotra and during the chanting (In the dream) , forgot the last few lines of the strotra and my relative mentioned that I have become forgetful.
I then remembered the lines and in the phase between dream and waking state , as I was rising from the bed, I completed the last few lines of the strotra.
The experience was so intense that I resumed the unbroken daily chanting of Shri Ram Raksha Strotra
