    His films always have a theatrical play feel to them too. Can you do one on David Lynch.

    Sofia Copolla. She's one of the few female directors that's pretty mainstream and has an identifiable directing style

    I don't like Wes Anderson; I ADORE HIM.
    His movies are perfect fitting in my empty space of my soul.
    I like paintings and art, Wes Anderson has that in movies, every shooting, wheather it's wide angle or not, is like a painting (or an illustrated book).
    Can't wait to start my own movie and use these tips to mix my own style with some of my favourite Andersonian elements! Thank you so much, excellent video!

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS THANKS FOR INCLUDING "MELODY (SWALK)". One of my favourite films since I was younger, and ever since watching Moonrise Kingdom, I've noticed the similarities, yet it's rare for people to talk about it. Love it.

    • @alessimoncic8395
      @alessimoncic8395 7 років тому

      The one at the very beginning ( starts at the eight. second). It"s not instrumental just people singing La lo, la la lo.

    • @TheFilmGuyOfficial
      @TheFilmGuyOfficial  7 років тому

      its the The Grand Budapest Hotel - S'Rothe-Zäuerli (Main Theme)

    • @alessimoncic8395
      @alessimoncic8395 7 років тому

      Damn. I knew it was from one of Anderson"s movies, but I blindly assumed it was from The Tenenbaums, so I checked their playlist for at least twice and got no result whatsoever.
      Therefore a big thank you to you Sir for representing a faint glimmer of civilization left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity.

    I really enjoy this series, but may i ask ; why are you cropping most shots to fit the same 2:35 aspect ratio ? In the grand Budapest hotel shots, your are sometimes cutting more than 50% of the frame, which i find pretty weird since your show is dealing with Style (and especially framing here). Anyway, nice work !

    Wait, no mention of the influence of the classic film "Harold and Maude" on Anderson's style? You even showed a glimpse of Bud Cort who starred in Harold and Maude AND had a bit part in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
    Also, people looking out of windows. Anderson loves to show people looking out of windows.

      +Apophenia I definitely plan on doing one on del toro, but there isn't a lot more to be said on Edgar Wright that hasn't already been said by "every frame a painting" as he hasn't done to many films yet so it's hard to analyse it criticized his technique further but I do love him and I'm sure I will do something eventually.
