Really happy with how this video turned out - kind of addicted to watching it now even though I've done the real thing! Hope you enjoy the walk as much as me :) (Edit: decided in the end to cut the section with engine noise - this will make the image jump slightly at about 22 minutes, but I think it should make the video more relaxing overall. It was just my luck that a remote cottage had turned into a building site!)
@@paulreed480 Late reply... I meant to mention that my sunrise beach walk from last March was inspired by your comment. You were right - I loved it, thank you. Hope I'll get round to a countryside walk at first light soon
Thanks so much Chris. I watch these in my office as I make many lengthy and important pastoral phone calls to people especially now in this Covid -19 season. I'm in Australia and your beautiful videos remind me of many wonderful walks in England we have enjoyed holidaying there. I'm definitely helped to stay very fresh and attentive in the process.
Thank you so much for posting this! You’re so lucky to have easy access to nature trails. I have to drive out pretty far. With your video, though, I can run on my treadmill and feel like I’m there. ☺️
@@Athletophy ok but i think the ultimate feeling for me must be when you walk there at that moment through the beautiful english countryside in the rain. I have been several times in England with my wife, the last time in Peasmarsh, and i still dream about our walks in that surroundings, i felt so warm and cozy, for me England is my home...
when i see your rainy videos i must think of the {beautiful} music of Nick Drake and when i listen to the music of Nick Drake, i have to think of your rainy videos..
Yes there is something very special about the English countryside. I have lived and travelled in other countries but am very happy where I am - well, except when I have to go for too long without sunshine.
what an interesting idea, if I had a treadmill I could see how I would want to keep up with the beat of your feet walking. Nice little jaunt through the countryside.
I really enjoyed it but my only issue was sometimes the umbrella got in the way of the view and it would have been nice to see the houses better but I don’t know if that’s a privacy issue or not
If you mean in the second half of the video in the woods then I agree - I didn't realise it would all be so overgrown in places. Apologies that it makes the video less smooth to watch
That sort of thing, and other stuff like trying to keep the umbrella higher than usual due to the camera being above my head, the resulting shoulder pain making me swap hands on the umbrella quite often which could disrupt the video unless I'm extra careful, not breathing too loudly or coughing or sniffing etc!!! Holding the umbrella tight so it doesn't rattle. Remembering not to make sudden movements like turning to look at something. Balancing the need for camera height against the risk of raindrops on the lens casing.... The list is endless! Quite a long answer but I guess other people might be interested to see it too haha. By the way I liked your latest video - keep up the sprinting vlogs :) Hopefully I'll be doing more soon too.

reminds me of my favorite places. The deep dark woods. lovely.
สวยงามมากครับ
That's one of the best walks in the rain and
I didn't get a bit wet!
I love hearing the rain on your umbrella. It took a beating. Love the scenery. Thank you.
I've got through a few umbrellas making this type of video!
Enjoyed the run..! Thanks for the upload.
Thanks, i really enjoyed the video.
UK countryside is even more beautiful with with your walking paths
สวยงามครับธรรมชาติ😘💞💞🌧️☔👍🥰
That was fun! Great idea walking in the rain. Thank you
Thanks a lot Chris for doing these videos. These are making me wanting to live forgetting the sadness happening around me
Thank you so much for this great video (has 3 things i love - the countryside, rain, and walking, even in the virtual sense). I've clicked subscribe.
Enjoyed the walk. Thanks for the upload bro.
Simply Fantastic, the rain, trees and all the surrounding areas, I wanted to go to sleep but also wanted to see everything. This is amazing, thank you
I love walking the countryside in rain. Walking at first light is great
This was later in the day like a lot of my videos. Don't think I've tried a walking video at first light yet though so thanks for the idea
You’ll love it

Thanks for your kind words and it's amazing to think how the soft English rain not far from my house has helped work some magic around the world

Very peaceful

....its really great to walk with you through beautiful England in this rain Chris....i wish i really was there...
Thank you - at least you don't have to get wet if you're only watching it

That's a compliment to mention Nick Drake. Though his music was very sad (my impression of it anyway)
Très jolie balade romantique et surtout en solo!!!!..
I don't live far from here it's lovely

After writing it I realised there is probably stacks of virtual stuff for treadmill walkers, this is the first one I have ever seen
Dankeschön! :O)

I love the uk really much, i don't know the exact reason but i do. I have several dreams that i live there in the countryside.
Sounds interesting - do you know part of the reason if not the exact one?!
@@Athletophy i really do not. This always was part of myself and i never understood

I love it ! U walk fast, right ?
It was steep downhill at the start, but I do walk quite fast anyway. Thanks!
Hoping you are able to obtain a much stronger umbrella!
The rain walk in the calm forest is interesting. But your umbrella is interfering the video.
If you mean in the second half of the video in the woods then I agree - I didn't realise it would all be so overgrown in places. Apologies that it makes the video less smooth to watch
Chris do you ponder on anything during these long walks ???
I can't ponder too deeply because it actually takes a lot of concentration to make the video. So maybe it's more like meditation
@@Athletophy I assume cause you need to make sure the camera is stabilized and you're capturing all the scenery

@@Athletophy I bet you have to manage your stepping cadence too, I never thought about all of those things.
@@Athletophy Yea I'm waiting on them but I'm enjoying these videos I think I needed to vary up the content I was watching
Beautiful landscape gorgeous but honestly not easy to watch. Please walk it in fall.
I just chuff my weed and immerse myself 🕊️
It looked like you were running in the rain. Next time slow down.
The first 5-10 minutes are a steep downhill
