- China is surrounded and encircled by enemies on all sides, everything seems lost and the situation is extremely dire. It looks as if there is no possible way this can be saved. But nonetheless the grandmaster HOI4 player, TommyKay, will try and find a way from this unwinnable disaster and encirclement. So how do we save this disaster? How do we save one of the worst situations of 2021? Well unfortunately I can't spoil that for you in the description, that would be kinda dumb. But one thing I can say for certain, you guys got a good Kaiserreich game coming.

@@aronvstheworld Entirely fresh lore, better; or least vastly more complex political system, very, very fleshed out and working well for a mod that size, really a lot of interesting possibilities and paths to take that are also fun to play gameplay-wise. I honestly think Kaiserreich might be the most well-done mod to any game in a way that I've ever seen.

What he said about the story just ending out of nowhere is a big problem with Kaiserreich, a lot of the Nations have this great story at the start that builds up and builds up and then it just stops and there's no more story with like 6 years left in the game. You really feel that playing as Italy since it starts out with some cool stuff and then you just get less and less until the events just stop and it's like "What was the point?"

I actually really liked this story based playthrough. It's a nice break from rage inducing achievements
Yunnan Clique and the Right Kuomintung is an awesome focus tree! I highly suggest giving them a shot! To do it, play Yunnan and fight the generals, then save before the events start to make sure you get the ending you want for the clique. If you go the KMT path, you get insane buffs and can bring democracy back to China through blood and battle.

Tommy you should try kaiserredux, it's basically kaiserreich but all the focuses are reworked and new ones are added. It's slightly less story and event based than kaiserreich but it's so much better for gameplay.

Playing any Chinese country in Kaiserreich is so challenging, especially in the early game. You can get screwed from all sides so easily. imo Qing is even one of the easier ones to play, but by no means are they not a challenge, as displayed by this video.
Play as any of the KMT nations is hard as hell, you unite the south and then get fucked by japan
