Careast De Luxe Toy Steam Engine

I am confident this is an early production version. There are no pins on the burner to hold it in place, the small end has a threaded axle which comes loose, and the engine frames are multi part, not single castings. And it doesn't run very well! It shakes like a crazy thing. Mind, it was very bent when I got it, I guess it had been dropped, so maybe that has something to do with it's wayward nature. Anyway, it slow runs wonderfully well, and it is a great looking machine. I hope you like the video.

Interesting build up crankshaft

It is a horrible design. One end of the small end pin is threaded, the other is (or was when new) an interference fit. I had to use Loctite retainer to lock the assembly in place.

Kinda like the way I used to walk home from the pub. Bit of a wobble.
