- UPDATE! This video w/better audio has been added to our channel.
For this project, I used transfers from IOD 2024 Christmas transfer books, "Yultide", and "Crimson Velvet", drop cloth from Harbor Freight, burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby, Gorilla Glue Adhesive Spray (I found mind on Amazon), glue gun, and some greenery I found on the side of the road. Yes.. I went there, lol. My project was inspired by Erin at @TheProvincialFarmhouse.
I just found your channel and have subscribed. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and am looking forward to seeing more.

Debbi here. I don’t know how old you are, but those of us who are old enough to remember, used to have to cover our school textbooks with brown paper bags to protect them. It was mandatory. There is a much easier way to cover books that is neat and efficient. Ask your mom! Love the project!
Same Debbie same! Kids these days have no clue we used to have huge books that needed to be turned in at the end of the year and our parents paid for them if they were messed up. We mostly used paper bags, and drew on them. I'm much more fond of this fauxlap though. Also, thanks! 🥰

The book stack is so cute, I love it; and using strands from the burlap ribbon to wrap...genious! I'll be using that instead of twine on my next project!
Isn't that fun?? You know how I figured that out? I'm so messy I just throw all my ribbon in a box and I tossed some in there that I'd pulled off of something that didn't sell. Well, the glue held part of it together and the rest just fell off. I can't throw anything away, so next time I looked for something in the box, there was my NEW TWINE! *gasp* Also, thank you 😍
I do love the book stack. I don’t think you have to get rid of the music necessarily, just lower the volume. I do like your narration. You have a cute sense of humor.

@nancycollins8824 oh my goodness I love that idea! I have neglected putting our house together after we remodeled it last year. I just haven't known what I want to do. But, I love this look and I like that it's still practical because it can be read, and it's not just a pile of Knick knacks. I'm no good with those. I'm too messy lol! If you'll cut a square out of each corner, it takes a lot of the bulk out when you're folding the fabric. Just dont cut all the way to the point, you want a little bit to cover that part. You were killing me w the fairies!! 😂

and Mrs T Just found your chanel and loved the book you created and your choice of decoration was lovely. My only negative comment I have is if the books were ever taken apart and opened on the insides I would have cut a square piece of the dropcloth fabric to cover the rough edges and stuck them over to really neaten it all up

Your idea to pull the canvas ribbon apart to tie on is amazing. I too have just found you and looking forward to more videos from you. Wondering if you use the IOD clay and moulds and would consider a video project using those products?

I absolutely loved this tutorial...I am just like you! For some reason, even though I was supposed to be watching a tutorial for something I was sewing (and I can relate to the mom jokes about scissors!), I ended up watching you and laughing at myself because I never do what I'm "supposed" to do! And I didn't cut or sew a straight line either!
