The company did say that they are wanting to get the figures at a cheaper price point. But because they are a new company and this is their first product and first wave of figures ever they had to up the cost. If these sell well they are hopeing to lower the cost on the next wave. Great review as always. I cannot wait for mine to come in. Also I think they tend to go with single joints because it makes the muscle sculpt look better. Personally as long as the arms and legs can get 90 I am pretty happy.
Warping plastic and single jointed arms aside, these aren’t too bad for a wave 1. Sculpt looks good and scale is nice too. Hopefully future waves will get better- they would be perfect for like $15 - $20 cheaper.
Thank you for doing a lesser known line and being honest about it. I appreciate it and it's very refreshing in this day and age. I also very much understand the importance of hydration and being kind to others so thank you for plugging that as well. Be safe sir
Man, I 'm a bit shocked at the amount and level of QC issues your set had... I did an unboxing/review of my set and my extra Hyena arm was spotty too, I didn't try putting it on the figure because I like the scale armored one better anyway. As far as helmets and sheathes coming apart that's rough, I didn't have any of those problems with my set. Hopefully it's not a widespread problem because i really think this line has great potential. As far as price goes, yeah it's a bit high but here's how I look at it. I got mine to go with my Mythic Legions. Mythic Legions (A regular sized 1.0 body or 2.0) are 35$ PROVIDED you were able to throw in on a pre-order. Those come around once every blue moon so most of us missed out on those long time ago. Secondary market backtracking can cost you hundreds per figure (and at least 50 from a retailer) for certain releases. So, 60-ish bucks is tolerable (for now I guess) to get these types of figures, I love mine.
The only thing that gives me hesitation is how new the company is, but the price seems to be similar to super7 ultimates figure line. Paint/sculpt and articulation seem decent along with decent accessories, price is acceptable but hopefully they can lower the price and or increase articulation
from engineering of the figure stand point, these are very nicely done; hidden shoulder joint that functions, smooth hip joint that consist of many parts and offers hidden thigh swivel, no visible knee joints, nicely done double-ball peg neck joint and torso. stylistically: not my thing, it feels like the designs are the gladiators that are the sideshows instead of the main characters. cost wise: i can see why they retail for $60, but at this price range... personally i need something that feels like a absolute main character instead of multiple sideshow guys.
Man, I feel for you. Trying to create art and bring joy is a chore in a time like this. We see your work, we see your humanity, and we stand solidly together. Be careful out there
I'm just finding out about these. Is there any place you recommend I can buy these here and any others from wave 2 and 3? Also, your frickin background is amazing man!
@@DAmazing How can you not own any Masters of the Universe Classics? Keep up the great reviews! I only use the weapons from Mythic legions to enhance my MOTUC figures. The heads from Marvel & DC action figures for new heads for extra MOTUC figures. I am waiting on the 2 snake mountains to arrive this winter form Super 7 to finish my MOTUC collection.
@@lewis17297 🤔maybe but the viking is called devilfish I'm Scandinavian and it doesn't bother me but fine if the theme was that he's from the savanna maybe a lion would be cooler
Is it wrong for me to say that a guy named Hyena sounds more like a cat owner than a Gladiator? Kinda feel that Shango or Sundiata would be a better name for him...wait, did Gladiators even use Hammers?
Yes, they used a kind of sledgehammer type hammer it was particularly long with a stubbed rectangle at the end of it. Usually the really big guys would use them though
Gladiators, or at least the ones who were not the low-class mobs of fodder, would be fighting in pairs. As such, they would be fighting with one hand, defending with the other, and only need armor on the side that didn't have the shield.
I normally love your reviews but I have to say this is the worst review I’ve seen you done. I have no vested interest in this company but were clearly not in the mood to review these figures. Shin guard for an arm gauntlet? Low budget Kratos? Come on man, these figures are not a treat to your over price Mythic Legions collection. Just my observation. Keep up the great work Prince.
Hey bro, I feel that energy and I understand it, appreciate you pushing through. Thanks for that honesty. Looking forward to the next video.

I'm passing on these. Seen too many defects on these in general. I will stick to my Legions. I appreciate your review and photography as always.

That price point is outrageous. And I thought Mythic Legions was expensive!
$60 is not outrageous at all when SHF and Mafex cost $50-$95 each! This is a new independent toy line.
@ToyFiend buying the entire wave is $165

In China we can get them for about 220RMB each which is about 33 dollars. I think this is still acceptable.

Great no BS review. Glad I found your channel!
I am so glad you picked these up. You always give such an honest review. Stay safe

...an IG acquaintance posted them a few weeks ago and I was interested but saw no reviews in english at the time. I am glad you did this review...
I like this line helmet concept, this make the figures's proportion better.
Not bad look. Thanks for taking a swing with these new and unknown lines and stress testing them for us
Low Budget Kratos 😂
Been waiting for you to review these guys
I'm just finding out about these. Is there any place you recommend I can buy these here and any others from wave 2 and 3? Also, your frickin background is amazing man!
The Nubian gladiator looks cool
They all look cool AF
Nice review man, interesting figure line
Actually, Not Kratos is carrying what’s called a Bident, which is basically a Trident minus the middle spike. Hades was known to carry one.
I’m waiting on mine...great review as always!
Passed on these but picked up Wave 2, they're excellent and no QC issues.
It you remember back to gladiators the programme the black gladiators mostly seemes to have names associated to their blackness.
Love your video skillz bro
Hello, I really like, via the video, the design of these figurines. Could you tell me, please, if the bodies are of good quality?
Will you be ordering/reviewing wave 2 when it releases
Bro, where did you get the custom head based on your likeness? Please let me know
Are they gonna do more of them?
“Do you like movies about gladiators?”
bro, how to dissasemble this figure and making them unequip their clothes?
Would they scale with marvel legends?
Umm ,where can i buy them .I found some on Empiretoyshop but they dont ship to my forsaken country .
How do I remove the feet in order to change the gear ?
Damn! 65 each is a bit too high. Awesome figures, but out of my range
Please compare future reviews of this type to MOTU Classics/Ultimates and not just Mythic Legions and others. Nice review as always.
I don’t own any of those

Who is good and villain?
Nice
They do have a nice look though
Hyena is prob the weakest for me, but they could be good for customs. Especially the middle on for a Kratos custom
I may be uninformed here but why is the name a problem
I'm not sure myself but Hyenas (the animal) are scavengers and are from Africa, so I can see why he'd not be too happy about that 👀🤷♂️

It is no chainmail but scale armor.
I shall get hyena finally creat clotho
Or lystra I've freaking enjoyed this video
Single joints are cheaper also Mythic legions gets away with it
That guy looks like kratos but with blonde beard

There names is devilfish and reaper and hyena
One looks like her arena
6:43...Lol! Inwas gonna say, How's that racist?😄
Wish they had better articulation
Dijimon! 🤣🤣
Why does “Hyena” only have armor on his left arm?
Gladiators, or at least the ones who were not the low-class mobs of fodder, would be fighting in pairs. As such, they would be fighting with one hand, defending with the other, and only need armor on the side that didn't have the shield.
not bad but not for 60.
Hi
They look like a low budget cheap version of mythic legions but they actually cost more I will definitely pass on these action figures
Why is the Black figure undressed?
