When I went to see this show for the first time I left feeling lighter than air, the last parts of the show I was crying cause look how far we've come in this world. And yet many of us are still struggling for peace. I was awe-struck after seeing this show. There is no way to describe how one feels after seeing the show. The music has been stuck in my head ever since! it's been 6 years! I can't wait to see this show next year!
There are simply no words to discribe this show. Sure, you can watch videos of it on youtube and see the pretty lights, but actually being there and seeing it, feeling the wind, surrounded by other people, seeing the sky lit on fire like that, there's no other experience like it.
Going to Disney again in June, listening to this gives me the Disney bug so bad!! AGH cant wait!! Such an amazing awe inspiring show about being one as a people, not separated by race/religion/country but being one as we should be.

best part is at 4:42. Illuminations is no doubt the best fireworks display i have ever seen and it perfectly captures the magic of Disney. such great memories from this, i wish i could go back
This music is quite possible the most well-written music I've ever heard. The suspense, emotion and magic of it all is just so Disney. It fits the mood of the light show perfectly. I'm hooked. 5:00 to the end gives me a feeling of excitement and intensity. Definitely my favorite part.
By far my favorite fireworks show because of the music. It's so intense in the beginning. The one thing I don't like about it is how long they have the globe out in the center with hardly any other effects going on.

We are having a block party this weekend on Bingley Crescent in Oakville and we are going to blast this song as we shoot off our meager fireworks! Nothing will beat the Epcot fireworks and song!
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth was my favorite Disney nighttime show until World of Color opened last year in Disney California Adventure Park. It's still my favorite nighttime show in Walt Disney World.
You might catch a glimpse from Future World, but the show takes place on the water and around World Showcase, so you'd miss most of it including the effects on the lake. If it makes you feel better, you could try watching from farther back between Future World and World Showcase, and get closer to the water's edge as you feel more comfortable. I believe that most of the fireworks go off from closer to the American Pavilion side.

so many versions have been written but yes this was creaed for the millennium celebration. It was such a hit they just dropped the millennium off of the name and went from Millennium Illuminations to just Illuminations

It actually has a story...and it has nothing to do with Disney Act I: Chaos. Chaos represents the creation of the planet Earth from a cosmic event. (This part uses the Inferno Barge.) Act II: Order. The Earth Globe appears. As the Earth cools, it changes from hot white to red to blue. Images appear on the Globe of countries, famous places, objects, and people. Chaos turns to Order.
Act III: Meaning (Song: We Go On) The Earth Globe opens revealing a torch and 1,000 white fireworks are ignited. The final loud fireworks explode with a white flash and end with a loud crackle.

This show was simply amazing. I remember hearing and watching it every night when I worked the Food and Wine Festival, and it never got boring.
