3D puzzles were almost my exclusive build back in my younger years (mainly 1995 - 2001...) Probably had at least 30, but they took up so much space, especially the original big ben (1500pc) and star destroyer, so I had to give up many them. I still have a dozen in storage and hope one day to find a few more on sale when I can buy a place of my own. The imperial star destroyer, Opera house, and London tower bridge were my most challenging ones just due to the curves and shear size.
Never had any out for long enough to get dusty, but it was always a concern of mine. Debated on making acrylic custom boxes if I do make room for them again.
I live in provice of Québec and Puzz3D was originaly from Québec! I have almost 20 plus the 4 puzzle of the Hogwards Street! I have Falcon Millenium and New York.
I have not done a Puzz3D - but I have been to a few of the places shown - Sydney Opera House, St Mark's Basilica, Arc d'Triumph, Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Sistine Chapel, San Francisco Trolley (so I might have been near Trans-America tower but I don't remember seeing it).
Right? My siblings were both almost a decade older than me and we never had anything in common, never did much together. We were always in such different places in life that I mostly felt like an only child. I would have loved a sibling closer to my age with a relationship like this. I now have two girls very close in age and I hope they grow up to have a relationship like this!
@@crochetingcanuck Right RIGHT?!? My four half-siblings are all more than a decade older than me. At least some of their kids are around to do puzzle edges on holidays. But I've never had a closeness this cool!
15:10. Wow the Sistine Chapel was soo surprising when you said its double sided and flipped and the entire ceiling appeared in all its glory. Love it even more than the skyscrapers.
As a kid in the mid-late 90's I convinced my parents to buy the Empire State Building Puzz3D. I quickly became overwhelmed and didn't complete it. I did, however, give it to my grandparents. I remember they enjoyed doing puzzles. I have no idea of they ever did it or not. I just remember thinking "how hard could it be?" ... yeah, hard, when every single piece looks EXACTLY the same.
I love that Katie's entire collection is so well preserved and (now) put all at the same place and organized. So impressing! I don't like doing Puz3D's but I like looking at them assembled ❤️
I have also done the New York City Puzz3D!! I did it on a New Years Eve when I was in early highschool and it's easily my favourite puzzle of ALL TIME! I did take it apart, but kept all the walls together in the box, for easy reassembly. I've also done a bunch of the others shown here. Great collection!
This was fun. So excited to see your sister have a place to display her handiwork. It is beautiful. She looks very excited... both of you have a common passion with a different twist. How precious.
I've never done a Puzz3D but anytime you two talk about them it makes me really want to try them out! I feel like skyscrapers might be too difficult for me but I really like the idea of a house or a castle.
I finally bought my first 3D puzzle after watching this video and I'm having SO much fun with it! I decided on the Friends apartments by Wrebbit and now I'm already eyeing their Urbania series. Trying something new that's puzzle-related has been such a joy, thank you Katie and Karen for showing me how much fun can be had in 3D!
I love that you and Katie have something you both love to do and can bond over! Seeing you two laugh and bond over your shared interest reminds me of my older sister and me! We both love books and collecting them and get giddily excited for new releases and enjoy reorganizing our bookshelves. Sibling connections are so special and I’m glad you have a close one with Katie! :)
Sitting watching this video, looking over at the exact same Puzz3D grandfather clock on our mantle. My mom and dad made it many moons ago, and it's a decoration that lives here forever. Cool seeing it in this video!
My first Puzz3D was the grandfather clock as a kid. None of us read the directions clearly and were trying to assemble it in a 3D way instead of building it all flat then assembling. Sadly didn't finish it... But nowadays I've been doing the HP ones.
I will say that some of the Star Wars ones are interesting from a perspective of just construction. I got the Millennium Falcon one, and there are so many tapers and both the top and bottom are sort of domes, and there isn't a flat bottom, so it beyond the licensed aspect, they're interesting to just build.
I love whenever Katie (or her spreadsheets) appear in your videos! What is that canister with the red straw that you used to clean the puzzles? Skyscraper!
Now I really want to do a Puzz3D! It’s always fun to see Karen and Katie together. Next time, build a SKYSCRAPER together. I’m not surprised that Katie has everything organized on a spreadsheet.
This brought back so many memories of all the 3d puzzles I did growing up. As much as I loved them the size makes it hard to keep around now. Even the boxes take up the space of 6-7 normal puzzles. My favorite was the grandfather clock as it also was a working clock.
love to see other people organize! i left this comment before but i wanted to tell u about the existence of the 3000 piece where’s waldo puzzle that took up a month and a half of my time which i would love to watch you tackle if you wanted to!
This is a beautifully produced tribute to your sister and her wonderful collection of skyscrapers and more. And she gave a great walk-through. Well done!
3d puzzles are some of my favorite puzzles to assemble. I started collecting 3d crystal puzzles a while back. Those are very satisfying. Great work. Keep it up.
I love how you two don't change. everything around you changes. that is my life in a nutshell. you just need somewhere to store your pages or chapters of life
The detail on Notre Dame is nice, but that's the back. The cathedral is facing away from you. The two towers are the entrance, you know. Fun video. Impressive skyscrapers.
wow i love puzz3d my wife passed away a few years ago and she loved the grandfather clock we had it in our living room forever thanks for the great memories !! Your sisters should try the Orient express or the Monopoly Puzz3d

I bought it for my dad for a Christmas or birthday present. He tried to put it together, but said it was too complicated for him, and he gave it back. I assembled it during a long Christmas to New Year's vacation. I put on my new Elton John album, Made in England, on repeat, and started it. I worked THROUGH the night and into the next day. Your guys’ relationship is so awesome. I have very minimal contact with my older brother because of his mental health issues and unwillingness to seek help. I really wish that we had the sibling bond that you two obviously share.
I remember my grandfather solving Puzz3d puzzles in their basement. I have some fond memories of teasing him about knowing where the next piece goes before he did. I actually recognize one or two of the puzz3ds in this video as ones that I recall him solving. Tbh, I think he is a big part of the reason I enjoy puzzling as much as I do. In the last couple of years (since he passed) I have started doing more 3d puzzles because it brings up those memories. I might start looking for one of the puzzles he had just for that reason. This was such a cool collection to see though! Thank you for sharing! (And for a trip down memory lane!!)
Loved watching you two go through all the buildings and things, especially the grandfather clock. It looked like a lot of work, but it also seemed like you were having fun. And today's code word was "skyscraper" 💛💛
I know this is an old video by now, and noone is probably checking the comments any longer, but I just felt like I'd share since you asked. I only ever did one Puzz3D and it was the London Tower Bridge. They were rather expensive (in Denmark at least) when I was young, so I only ever got the one. I threw it out after assembling it and admiring my accomplishment for a few days (sorry), because it was gifted to me by a family member trying to buy my love. But I did enjoy building it! The foamy pieces were rather satisfying to put together. I was probably around 13-14 at the time, so around 25 years ago.
skyscraper! love this vid with the sisters together! you gals are super adorable, and i love all the puzzles. i bought one of these for my highschool sweetheart about 25 years ago, and they loved it... it was one of the first 3d puzzles that came out. really brings back some memories. thanks for the video :)
I started doing 3d puzzles in 1989 when we moved to our house in Houston, TX. I've always loved puzzles. I'd get puzzles that were double-sided. One side would be the picture and the other side would be black/white or another picture that was more difficult. They were all fun. I truly loved doing 3D puzzles.
Big fan of puzz3d not so much of the skyscrapers but very jealous you have the sixtine chapel! Was suprised to find out i have a lot of puzzles you dont have. But yeah tbey made so many. And availability between US and Europe is probably different.
This is so freaking cool! I didn't even know this kind of puzzles exist. When I saw one of your 3d puzzles videos you show a tease of this collection and I was amazed. So glad you make a whole video about it.
The only Puzz3D I ever recall doing was of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. I remember taking it to my Grandparents for Christmas and doing it with my family. Only I left one of the pieces at home so it had to remain incomplete for a few days. Would love to attempt some of those Skyscrapers though one day :)
My mum gave my the puzz3D Cinderella Castle when I was 7 (in 1999-ish, I think?). She had to help me build it though. But we found in a house with 2 teenage boys, no 3D puzzle was safe, so we eventually had to pack it up. But it sat out for a good 2 weeks. She had a house and one other, which she also built around the same time, but which met the same fate as my castle. We still have them. just haven't put them together since.
I did my first and only Puzz 3D almost 20 years ago of the Millennium Falcon. To this day it's the most satisfying puzzle experience I've ever had. Fun fact: I hadn't seen a single Stars Wars movie at the time I did it!
I love the videos with both of you! Your sisters dynamics are amazing and it’s loving seeing you both so passionate about puzzles and puzz3D! Ps: the capella sistina one is SO COOL!! I’m Italian and I’ve never seen it in person but this puzz3D seems a very good way to feel a bit of the magic of it Uh yes, skyscraper! 🌆
I love the skyscrapers. I actually have the Notre Dame puzzle. My Parents were puzzlers I bought it for my Dad, but they never did it. Because it brought back memories of the War for him. I would love to do it one day, but don't have a place to keep it once done.
Greetings from Ireland Katie and Karen, great job sorting 3d puzzling collection, very impressive I built a handful years ago,the first one was st Mark's basilica, think it was 01 or 02 how time flies,i agree the pieces on top kept coming apart I had to tape them.the 2 of you work well together 2 lovely women all the best.😀
Great video! Back in the 90s, I remember doing several of these with my girlfriend (now ex), including the Taj Mahal (I'm surprised Katie doesn't have this one) and I think Notre Dame. I still have 3 mini-puzzles (Arch De Triomphe, Big Ben, and a Dutch windmill), which I pulled out and reassembled during the pandemic and now sit on my bookshelf. I'm fortunate to have visited a lot of these places in real life, including Castle Neuschwanstein (the absolute coolest), the Taj Mahal, the Petronas Towers, Sistine Chapel, Eiffel Tower, Arch de Triomphe, Disney World, and NYC (including the Empire State Building skyscraper of course).
I did the Grandfather Clock years ago. I still have it. I enjoyed putting it together, but couldn’t figure out where to store any of the series I liked in my small apartment. I like your sister liked the buildings.
idk what's the etiquette on commenting an over one year old vid i hope it's not rude or weird but !! that video is so cool !! love the collection! and the spreadsheet! and your interactions in the vid !! thank you glad that katie gave us a presentation of her collection (and it was funny to see the notre dame one with its spire, it dates it as being made before 2019)
Did not know that there was such a large variety of Puzz3d... And that´s a lot of Skyscraper s. I have considered trying some (not necessarily branded) but so far I haven't figured out where I´d put them when finished. Maybe I'll try some of the small ones. Nice work on reorganizing, looks ready for some strategic led lighting, especially the city themed like New York and Scale series (I guess the glow in the dark "feature" has mostly faded by now?). Adam Savege Tested channel has some good tips made mostly by Norm (and a few for videos about lighting models for photo purposes).
I've never put together a 3D puzzle but did construct a multi unit " Emerald City" (re the Wizard of Oz) from a cut-out book for my daughter years ago, Yeah, I know: close but no cigar. You and your sister, Katie, work so well together. I guess that's why all the puzzle episodes in which she appears are my favorites.
These puzzles are beautiful! I’m surprised of how many 3D puzzles you did! You must’ve put a lot of work and never gave up. The display is really cool! Kudos to you and your sister! :)
The part where you found the puzzle board brought up so many memories! My Dad made one to fit my Where's Wally puzzles exactly! So great! Still love my Where's Wally puzzles.
I did that when we moved in to my apt! I made little to-scale furniture blocks out of index cards. It really helped. My boyfriend laughed at me till no end.
I also did the St Mark's Basilica puzzle as a child (teenager maybe?). Those paper domes are horrendous - I could never get them nicely in place. I loved it so I kept it together but it is a terrible dust collector. It is still sitting (partially in ruins) in my mother's house. So fun seeing your sister's collection. 👍
I have had the silliest most irrational concern about the storage system for these puzzles since you previously showed them! I'm soooooooooooooooooo glad they are now organized!
Lovely to see all Katie's puzz 3d pieces, I have never been to any of the building but I have used many a red phone boxes in the past being from England. I am definitely more of a country girl with rolling hills rather than a city girl with all its towering sky scrapers.
I love puzz 3d's! My favorite of mine is the U.S. Capitol. It wasn't difficult to put together but I did it in 3 days, had it displayed for another 3 days and then my then 8 week old kitten, who is now a 15 year old cat, went Godzilla on it! Just imagine a tiny black cat standing on the roof of the Capitol! And the roof actually held for a few seconds! He took the dome down in one paw swipe. Then jumped over the fallen dome to cave in the opposite roof. I have pictures of the whole thing, if it hadn't been so adorable I would've been furious. But I just fixed it and now I smile and remember that every time I look at it. At the time we had been trying to think of a name for our new kitten but that incident decided it for us. His name is Monster.
My ex proposed to me on the Eiffel Tower in 1991, so when I saw that Puzz3D had come out with the big Eiffel Tower puzzle, I wanted to get it for him. I looked *everywhere* in my area (this was around 1994-1995, so no internet), but I couldn't find one. I think only 1 or 2 stores around me even carried them, so I ended up getting the one that's a generic Parisian block of apartments. Mr. Grumpy never did put it together, so I did it myself. I eventually bought the Eiffel Tower one and maybe one more, but I think I left them behind when I moved out. I didn't know they were still making them, so now I'm going to have to look for some. I'm like Katie--I like the ones that are real buildings the best.
We have about 40 Puzz3Ds and gave away about another 15 when we moved a couple of years ago and yet surprisingly we have only ever had about 5 of the ones shown in this video. Venice is our absolute favourite and now that we actually have the space to keep it up we will have to build it again and display it!
Loved these as a kid. Me and my brother made quite a few! Still have them at our parents' house. The ones we have are: Empire State Building Bavarian Mansion Millennium Falcon Imperial Star Destroyer Camelot The Capitol The Titanic St. Basil's Cathedral The Orient Express Alexandra - Victorian House
Awesome collection.). I like Big Ben and Little Ben. And it’s nursery rhyme appropriate that the big clock stands on the floor. Because: “My grandfather’s clock was to big for the shelf, so it stood ninety years on the floor.” The collection would be more fun with cut outs of you two sisters for more of the buildings. Like leaning out over that skyscraper parapet.(ooh that could be a video.)
I’ve done several 3D Puzzles (Puzz3D from Wrebbit). I remember the smaller Eiffel Tower, I couldn’t do the larger one because of the cardboard and missing pieces (used ones). I’d a R2-D2, Titanic, a Tasmanian Devil (Tunes), the English Phone Cab, the Neuschwanstein Castle which I did build with my mom, a collection of houses based on an old children’s TV show… I still have the Golden Hall (Lord of the Rings) and they’re remaking it. And they also released several cars such as the Ecto-1 and the ‘89 Batmobile. I couldn’t resist for the latter since I love this car a little too much. I should make a cabinet with trans plastic and a painted background.
Very cool to see them all displayed! I've never done one before but I really like the look of the ships ones. Also the video walking along the skyscraper at 14:27 was terrifyingg!
How nice to see Katie again! I was given the Titanic many years ago. It's also double-sided, & I was very impressed with the level of detail. Greetings from Czechia, where skyscraper is mrakodrap!
Loved this! I especially loved Katie's spreadsheet. I'd love to hear more about how she created the proportional shapes, as I think it'd be pretty handy for organizing all kinds of large collections. Skyscraper
When I was a child my sister had found a used Dracula castle 3D puzzle and I would redo it maybe once or two a month. Best gift ever. I’ve been trying to find something similar since :) I had that one a glitter one from Josephine wall and a Harry Potter first movie puzzle that I would redo every month. My family could see me on my bedroom floor just doing puzzles
Wow, I never knew there was such a thing as 3D puzzles! I collect Eiffel towers so love that & New York city. Great job with organizing! Would love to make a puzzle board too after I saw the one your Dad made for you. I use foam boards now, but think a board would be nice. Thanks for sharing🙂
I wish that the St Mark’s Basilica puzzle were double sided - the inside of that building is one of the most magnificent things I’ve ever seen. I’m very impressed by you and your sister’s organisational abilities, although I confess that I quail somewhat seeing all the buildings relocated to very stable shelving that still offers no protection from dust whatsoever! At least while the skyscrapers are pretty tricky to put together, their regularity of shape makes them a little easier to clean!
The orient express is also double sided, with people and tables and chairs in the carriages. I have done the New York and many of the ones you have. I also have the violin, tower bridge, St Peter basilica, French street, St Michel, R2D2, and others you haven't got there. Nice collection though.
I LOVE my puzz 3D puzzles! I have almost all of the Harry Potter ones ✨ when I saw Katie’s spreadsheet I got SO excited! It made my accountant brain happy lol!
Solving puzzles with siblings is fun. We play video game and go places but sometimes it's fun to hang out at home together and eat snacks and solve one together
Great video. I have a bunch of these Puzz 3D puzzles. I put them in storage but will get them back out soon. The New York one is one of my favorites. One I didn’t see Katie had was the Stradivarius violin one. I think she would like to do that one. I have several SKYSCRAPER ones. I was going to say I have a ton of these puzzles, but by how light they are, that would be a ginormous amount.
I love this ❤️ I’m also imagining the conversation. “Well, you can’t really see all the dust and bugs through the camera so as long as I don’t get too close it should be fine” P.s during this video I got an ad for a new Minions movie. Perfectly appropriate I thought. 🙂🐿
I did the NY, NY 3141 piece puzzle. It was pre-911 as it had the twin towers. A girlfriend bought it for me and bet that I couldn't put it together in under 6 months if I finished it at all. I did it in 6 months. I actually found it somewhat easier than a 3000 piece flat puzzle - likely because I am a construction professional and building things in 2D and erecting them in to 3D structures is what I am accustomed to.
So fun seeing so many organized and displayed! We still have several from when I was a kid, including the "Small" Ben and Notre Dame shown here (although looking them up, I see there were two sizes of Notre Dame, and ours is the bigger one). I can't remember them all offhand, but I know Bavarian Mansion and the Taj Mahal (and R2-D2, lol) are among them. Possibly London Bridge? It's been so long... no where to keep them now, so they are stored away in their boxes. Haven't found it in me to get rid of them.
Have you ever done a Puzz3D? Or have you been to any of the buildings she showed?

Skyscraper!
It's a compressed air duster, usually used for cleaning computer parts, but it also works great on delicate foam puzzles.

I had the Notre-Dame Cathedral puzzle and a castle puzzle as a teen that I really enjoyed assembling at the time.
Paint brushes and lens cleaners (the brush side) work great for dusting Lego, so they should work great for 3D as well.

Congrats girls on displaying these all together ❤️ I love to watch you two sisters together!!
I’m Italian and I’ve never seen it in person but this puzz3D seems a very good way to feel a bit of the magic of it
Uh yes, skyscraper!
I like your sister liked the buildings.
idk what's the etiquette on commenting an over one year old vid i hope it's not rude or weird
but !! that video is so cool !!
love the collection! and the spreadsheet! and your interactions in the vid !! thank you
glad that katie gave us a presentation of her collection
(and it was funny to see the notre dame one with its spire, it dates it as being made before 2019)
One of the skyscrapers is my daily view outside of my house. What an amazing collections you have.
They're not too hard to take apart, like Lego models, so you could sell or donate them afterwards if you don't have space for the finished buildings.
The ones we have are:
Empire State Building
Bavarian Mansion
Millennium Falcon
Imperial Star Destroyer
Camelot
The Capitol
The Titanic
St. Basil's Cathedral
The Orient Express
Alexandra - Victorian House
I love your enthusiasm and admire your connection.
Using a "Swifer"Sweeper"will clean off the dust really well. I use it to clean older silk flower displays with great efficacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was fun to see all of the puzzles especially the skyscrapers.
I just watched a HOW ITS MADE VIDEO. had no idea. Way cool collection. Putting them on those shelves was a great idea.
Such a nice collection ! Thank you to Katie for sharing her collection with us .
✨skyscraper✨
Awesome collection.). I like Big Ben and Little Ben. And it’s nursery rhyme appropriate that the big clock stands on the floor. Because:
“My grandfather’s clock was to big for the shelf,
so it stood ninety years on the floor.”
The collection would be more fun with cut outs of you two sisters for more of the buildings.
I’d a R2-D2, Titanic, a Tasmanian Devil (Tunes), the English Phone Cab, the Neuschwanstein Castle which I did build with my mom, a collection of houses based on an old children’s TV show…
I still have the Golden Hall (Lord of the Rings) and they’re remaking it.
All the puzzles are so beautiful! I have six wrebbit 3d puzzels by myself and I love them! I am now making the 9000 pieces underwaterworld puzzle!
this is so cute. You two are sister goals!
Loved this! I especially loved Katie's spreadsheet. I'd love to hear more about how she created the proportional shapes, as I think it'd be pretty handy for organizing all kinds of large collections. Skyscraper
Been waiting for this video. And it did not disappoint 😀
I loved assembling these. Finished the millennium falcon and the empire state one.
Love it when you 2 are together!
The lamp ones look so pretty!
Did you ever see yourselves like this in the future together?! Love this ✨
I know, right? I'm so happy so many people want to watch!
Those 3-D puzzles are amazing ! I see it runs in the family.
So impressed with this. I too like the skyscrapers. Thank you for sharing this. 🥰
Putting it on the list for next years Christmas present!
I did the grandfather clock and the Stradivarius violin. Those were really pretty.
I LOVE my puzz 3D puzzles! I have almost all of the Harry Potter ones ✨ when I saw Katie’s spreadsheet I got SO excited! It made my accountant brain happy lol!
I've never been a fan of "3D puzzles." These look very nice!
I love this ❤️
I’m also imagining the conversation.
“Well, you can’t really see all the dust and bugs through the camera so as long as I don’t get too close it should be fine”
P.s during this video I got an ad for a new Minions movie.
Perfectly appropriate I thought. 🙂🐿
Yay! i was just rewatching some of your 3d puzzle episodes!
I live in NJ and I wish I could’ve gotten tot meet you!! I also used to make some Puzz3D puzzles before and they were so fun!
