57 Living and working in Myanmar. I work full time as a Kindergarten teacher. I became a UA-camr. I agree with you, one has to have projects to keep young and not be old and boring and stuck in your ways. I used to live in China for 7 years so I keep up my Chinese. Fluent in Italian and English and a bit of Russian as well. Probably Argentina after here for the passport and to keep up my Spanish. Who knows what other plans I will make then.

This video is so relatable and I plan to watch it multiple times to practice listening. I definitely felt age related anxiety, I dont know that i ever conquered it. Rather choosing to enjoy life as much as i can and accepting that there are ups and downs. Thank you so much Rita for your videos! I am finally able to understand pronunciation because of them and am now visiting China - speaking a little bit of Chinese! Love you! ❤

I'm passively listening to this video now for the Mandarin exposure as I go through my Anki cards, but want to come back and attentively listen to the whole thing as I'm also in my thirties and curious about what you have to say about this topic 🙂 Extremely helpful that you added pinyin, characters and the translation! 🙏

Is the boot camp "Finding Your Mandarin Voice", all on videos or are they real time classes? And if so which time zone? Thanks in advance, I love your videos

I took it during the bootcamp beta testing, and I think it hasn't changed in format too much, since it worked so well.
There is a web site that hosts the lessons, and there is one video per lesson with a quiz and some exercises. You will do a few lessons per day. You will also be given a speaking assignment every day, and you will post your recording on their Discord server (before a daily deadline) for review by a well-qualified Mandarin speaking coach who gives you text-based feedback at the end of the day. You will do this six days a week, and then have one live class on the weekend via a private UA-cam channel. The timing of the live class varied a bit, and might have changed since the beta, but when I attended, it started around 9-10am U.S. Eastern time on Sunday.
Some lessons take longer than others, and you do need to really stick with it for those few months, but it pays off. It was a lot of fun, and you get the chance to make some friends in your bootcamp, via Discord chats. You're in it together and can help each other out. The coaches and Rita will answer questions on Discord as well if you ask them, but keep in mind there can be some delay in the answers due to their high bootcamp workload and time zone differences.

I also took the boot camp and it was awesome! I also love the discord community. You get as much out of it as you put into it. They give you everything to succeed, and then it's up to you to just do the assignments.

Never heard of it before and just checked it out after seeing your comment, and it seems very sub-par compared to Language Reactor.
